We bought a wool area rug online that was mildewed and musty when it arrived. I got estimates from a number of places, but none of them would commit to being able to treat the mildew if it was more than just a smell on the rug. When I called Hart's, David explained the treatment they would use and that it's a chemical they use in mold remediation so it would likely treat whatever was causing the smell in the rug. They were able to book me same day, and Jerry came out, treated the rug in the driveway so it wouldn't get the vinyl flooring wet, and did a great/fast job (spent about 45 min treating an 8x10 rug). There was some faint lingering smell, but after a couple of days with the windows open, there's no smell left at all. Would highly recommend them, would use them again, all around great experience--they made me really confident in their knowledge and did a great job on my rug for a very affordable price that was less than a lot of other places. read more

Now I get what all the fuss is about!! Not only are they nice, prompt, and do an excellent job, but they are affordable, too! I needed to have 5-6 area rugs cleaned. I was fearful that I would have to pay an arm and a leg to get someone out to do something other than clean a home with wall-to-wall carpet. I had quotes that were twice the price of Hart's. Arrived on time. Called to tell me he was on the way. Price was less than what was quoted as I included a hallway and hallways don't figure into the price. All chemicals and products are included in the price so there is no attempt to up-sale. Did a fine job. Removed all stains pointed out. I tried to get the tech to clean some upholstery while he was at my home but because I did not mention this at appointment time no time was allotted for this type of cleaning and it would have caused the tech to be late for his next appointment. The tech did however tell me how much he would have charged if he had the time to clean the upholstery and it was far less than other companies quoted. Overall this company appears very fair and very competitively priced when compared to other carpet cleaning companies. I will surely use this company again. Thanks! read more

Just had them come and steam clean the entire house along with 3 area rugs and 2 couches and spray the couches down with Scothguard. These guys did a great job, moved all the furniture and moved everything back and made sure that they placed foam/plastic under the legs of all furniture. Very professional and friendly. We hired him to steam clean & stretch the carpets in a home we'd just bought. While the carpet stains didn't quite come out, it looks much better in general & we really appreciated his honesty when it came to pricing/charging us. Before moving into our house, we wanted the carpets thoroughly cleaned. The previous owners had two big dogs and the house definitely smelled as such. I called several companies around Austin and Hart's by far had the most fair and reasonable pricing. Communication was seamless and setting up an appointment was quick and easy. They call/text you before arrival and after they're done. The technician was friendly and on time. We told him about our concerns about the carpet odor and he said he would take care of it. When we got back to our house the next day, the smell had improved but it wasn't completely eradicated. That's the only reason why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. From the logistics part of it, they're 5/5 from setting up the appointment to emailing us a receipt after everything is done. The only concern is that the carpet still has a lingering odor and I was hoping for it to be gone. read more

Did a great job for a reasonable price. They pre spray stains and use corner bumpers. They text confirmation and text when they are on the way. They don't move heavy furniture like dressers and beds but we didn't need that anyway. They cleaned our couch and wool area rug, too, which turned out beautifully. Great customer service but not the best cleaning I've seen. First they do not vacuum the carpet. They picked up larger visible items before starting but assured me the cleaner would get the rest. I don't believe it did as good as a quick pre-vacuum would've done. Also they drench the carpet. I have had my carpets cleaned numerous times and never was it as soaked as this. Usually carpet cleaning companies will try to soak up as much moisture as possible. We let everything dry overnight and several areas were still damp in the morning. Also, they sprayed a deodorizer after they cleaned which was supposed to do away with the pet urine smell in one of the rooms. The urine was only from one pet accident. It did not help much at all and drenching the carpet seemed to make it worse even. Overall not impressed. However the technicians were very nice but were delayed 45 minutes. They were apologetic but it was a pretty big delay. Will look elsewhere next time. read more

It feels like a family owned/operated business - Dave always answers the phone and is so kind and contentiousness. They do great work at a fair price, but have also gone above and beyond for me. We have dogs and ... sometimes disgusting things happen to our carpet. They are so understanding and have even worked me in for same-day "dog vs carpet" emergencies.
