The owner was taking our order and later was walking around asking her guest if everything came out to satisfaction. The food was good. I had an omelette and two brisket tacos for my spouse. The biscuit tasted like cornbread and wasn't fluffy/ doughy so those weren't a favorite. I also wasn't a big fan of her prices. We spent over $65 bucks for two people for two breakfast meals with an orange drink and a lemonade. She also forces 15% service fee on her guest even though you have to walk up to order. So you don't get full service but are expected to pay for full service. The location is also not that great, must be the most sketchy shopping center in Katy. read more

I went here with my mom while visiting Katy and I have to say - it is amazing! My mother eats a keto diet and they had a menu to accommodate. They have another specialty menu too! The lane to order is quite claustrophobic and could slow down ordering as you are clogging up the line. The menu has a good number of choices but they arent boldly marked by allergen so you need to read through all choices to see what is really available. I ordered a la carte as I had not eaten here previously and wanted to be careful with my order. I ordered the cheese grits (@$5) and a pumpkin pancake ($3.50). The grits were barely warm so the cheese did not melt. They were quite thick but still tasty. The pancake was almost funny. It was minuscule both in diameter and thickness. It seemed to be quite good but in three bites it was totally gone so I didnt get a real sense of it. It was more of a child sized crepe-- not like any pancake Im used to. My husband had the mushroom and goat cheese salad. He enjoyed the spicy dressing. Harvest potatoes, kettle chips & dip or fruit cup (Available Keto)" Keto bread is difficult to make tasty but this bun was actually very good (because this is a bakery!) the ingredients were fresh and the burger was stacked with flavor! The meat was excellent with a peppery flavor so good and fulfilling! No chips (keto) but a little fresh salad that was perfect. Harvest Bakery is AMAZING! Extra delish savory sauces and crunchy marinades on the chicken. And I love the cozy feeling of the restaurant, and the wonderful outdoor seating. But the best thing might be the chef and owner Lori! She makes sure everybody is welcome, and you hear her interacting with her staff in the kind of manner you'd want to see. Everybody seems to like their job there, and I don't see any problems with the service that definitely reflects on the management. You walk in and they remember what you like, down to the specialty drinks. The food is next level. My favorite has to be the hot breakfast chicken tacos with medium spice. The crispy outer layer of the chicken is amazing, and then add to it the chipotle aïoli on top and it's hard to pick other things to try there. A newer addition, Mango Tango Tostadas ranks a really close second, and the eggs Benedict is able to compete with any other breakfast joint in town I think. Definitely get the poached egg as recommended , even though the hard-boiled was good.... The cheesy grits are savory and nom nom. I've brought friends and family, and even if there's a completely understandable wait at the peak hours, it's not long and you know the owner, who is personally on the floor helping all the time, is working hard to get you seating ASAP. My neighbor and I came to try it out! Overall, I was really happy with the experience and the food. However, one big thing was switched on my food. I was supposed to have Pork Belly on my Keto Huevos Rancheros, but instead I got Portobello Mushrooms. I'm not a fan of mushrooms at all. The flavor was actually not bad, which is surprising for me and mushrooms, but the texture was awful. This was a togo order, so I didn't check it until I got home. There was no going back to fix it. I picked off the mushrooms and ate the rest of it- which was delicious. So it was saved by the rest of it being on point. They also have a good keto cheesecake, which is my favorite cake! The downside is that they didn't have the carb counts on their keto desserts. The Manager did come out and talk through what was in it though, which was awesome of her. This will be a 4 star for now, but I will be back to hopefully make it a 5! :) read more

Let me tell you they were probably the best chicken and waffles I've ever had!! The customer service was great, the girl at the front helped us with some questions I had. While seated they brought us a sample of eggnog that the chef had made and AGAIN, was amazing. I also got an oat milk almond latte. I'm surprised they had oat milk since not every coffee place carries it but this was just another perk for this place! They didn't have the Burger that I wanted on the menu, but it was not a problem I had a sweet conversation with the chef and she informed me that she had all the ingredients to make me a burger just like I like it, special made for the champ. My day started out pretty rough but after the meal and the sweet hospitality that I was greeted with, and a wonderful meal serve to perfection. That was all I needed to change the outcome of my day. Their menu is overwhelming, lots of options, if you're like me and want pictures they have them near the register up front. They're also a bit pricey. I ordered the chicken and waffles with my eggs over easy, food was okay, my chicken was slightly bland. There wasn't any wow factor, it was just simple small waffle, 2 tenders, and 2 eggs. The waffle was more like a mini waffle. Aside from the food, I didn't like that they put a sign on the table reading "during busy times, please limit your time at our tables" but then they state that they want to "give you a fresh, delicious, and loving experience". To me not only is this contradicting, but asking your customers to limit their eating/socializing time is kinda rude. I have never seen this type of request anywhere. People go to brunch and/or eat out not just for the food, but usually to socialize with family and friends. Not to scarf down food because your establishment is busy. read more
