A hidden gem in Katy! We had a great first experience at brunch at Harvest. To start, this restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center on Mason Road, but the ambiance inside is warm and inviting. It felt like every inch of the room had been carefully decorated. My husband and I both ordered the harvest breakfast, which comes with 4 items and is served with buttered toast. I chose the waffle, bacon, fried chicken, and sliced avocado & tomato. Everything was delicious, with the waffle probably being my favorite part. For the fried chicken, we both chose the hot option, and we thought the spice level was pretty mild while it was very well seasoned. For our drinks, we both ordered the lavender latte and really enjoyed the flavor. My dad ordered the sourdough pancakes, and they were great as well. While I'm usually all about the taste, I would add that the presentation here was really well done, and the purple flowers tied it all together. Our only complaint was that our lattes took a long time - they were brought out after our food, after we asked a few times. While I usually like to sip coffee prior to eating, the employees here were very nice throughout our meal, and when we did get the lattes they were very good. From the photos below you can see that they take pride in their presentation and their menu is robust with many options. Get on the waitlist early because this place is rockin! Where do I start? We got right in after a 30 minute wait. The staff is super friendly but I found it weird that we had to go to the counter to order after being seated. The inside decor is really pretty almost girly but cute. They even had our name (handwritten on a sign) on the table-nice touch. They also had a sign on the table that ask we stay no more than an hour-never seen that before. The açaí was just that; it was good after the açaí mixer thought out a little bit. The French toast was absolutely fantastic and not overly sweet which is an art. The hot fried chicken salad needed more heat and a lot less of the cumin. After a while that's all you could taste. The best part of the brisket tacos was the salsa; they need to put that in a jar and sell it. The owner is extremely friendly and I look forward to going back for more. Wow. What a great place. My friends looked for a vegetarian friendly place, and it is not normally what they look for but they were glad, because this place could be named Heaven Kitchen & Bakery. My friend had the smoke salmon avocado toast, the other chicken and waffles, and myself the magic mushroom eggs Benedict. For mine, there was a great savoriness and spiciness to the grits and eggs Benedict. Then the accompanying salad had a nice acidity. Finally we split an order of peaches and cream French toast for dessert. Taken all that together with a nice decor of bright and cozy feel with a touch of southern comfort, it was a place worthy to yelp five stars for. Go try for a taste of a heavenly harvest. read more

Discovered this place while searching for a spot catering to both vegan and non-veg preferences, with kid-friendly options for my family. The food is exceptional! Tried the lunch chicken tacos, and they're the best I've ever had. Incredibly delicious, perfectly cooked chicken, making the taco burst with flavor. Enjoyed the side potatoes and greens too. My husband loved the vegan tacos, saying he didn't miss any meat--a rare find for good vegan options! Ordered a kid's meal with one egg, sausage link and a fruit cup but received two eggs and a fruit cup, missing the sausage. The server didn't clarify or mentioned anything about it at all. Despite being engrossed in our meal, we realized the mistake only after leaving--slightly disappointing not to receive what was paid for. All dishes were beautifully presented with a flower on top. While the location isn't great, the interior is cozy with a unique charm, even if a bit tight on space. Given the exceptional food, we'll become regulars quickly. Harvest Kitchen & Bakery always pops up whenever I search for good restaurants to go to. So, today hubby and I decided to have brunch here to celebrate our Anniversary...it was definitely a wise decision on our part. Overall, a wonderful place to go and worth the calories! We really enjoyed the time we spent there, a happy place to go to. The ambiance was very nice and made you forget the hustle and bustle outside. There was a waiting list, but you can sign up online so you don't have to necessarily wait in the TX heat. We didn't know about the wait list; but, we only had to wait 20 minutes with 13 ahead of us. Once our table was ready, we checked in with the receptionist. We then had to wait in line to order our food....which was very quick. It was very hard to decide what to order; everything looked good on the menu. We ended up ordering cappuccino and regular coffee, make your own harvest breakfast, hot chicken eggs Benedict (different spice level options), and the brisket tacos to share. Then we went to our table and waited for the food. A service fee of 15% is automatically included as tip. For our military veterans, they do give discount on two entrees. Chef Lori actually came and greeted us at our table and gave us a memento to help celebrate our Anniversary. This personal touch helped make our day better. It also made you feel the love and pride she has in her restaurant. Our food came....and we quickly realized, we definitely ordered too much. Everything we ate was delicious and tasted fresh. The grits and pancake were light and didn't make you feel guilty for eating carbs. The eggs over medium were cooked just right...fluffy and not greasy. Hubby loved the hot chicken eggs Benedict (he opted for the hot level spice) which came with a small salad. We had to take the brisket tacos home...ran out of tummy room. There is always a line here, but it typically moves quickly and the customer service is top-notch. You sign in at the stand in person or via a QR code and you are informed the entire time how many people are in front of you and the estimated wait. The weather was nice when we went, but you may want to consider the wait outside when you visit. Our wait was close to the 10-15 minutes we were quoted upon arrival. You order at the counter as you enter, and you can peruse the menu while waiting in line, so you are ready to order once at the counter. We ordered the Brisket Huevos Rancheros and the Classic Burger. Both meals were excellent and made fresh. Even the chips that come with the burger are house made and delicious. Huevos is one of my favorite breakfasts and it can go wrong so easily, but this was a hit. The eggs have a different consistency than I'm used to, almost like an egg soufflé, but it was very tasty. When it's busy, parking can be a challenge at this location, but we had no problems on the day we went. The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly, and the food is good. read more

I cannot praise this place enough! I visit Houston for work and a coworker brought me here for the first time and I fell in love. The food is phenomenal and the service is fantastic. This is my favorite place by so far for brunch! They are so busy and packed during weekends but they are fast and not too much of a wait. It's best you check online and add yourselves on wait list before you head here. We have been here twice now and both the times our experience was wonderful! We love their interiors it's beautiful. Once you check in with the host and get on line you start picking what you want to order and you first order and pay at the front before you sit. They also have service fee included already and if you want to leave extra tips you can leave at the table. We ordered waffle, eggs, sausages and salad. I ordered salad hoping it would be something small and my salad was gigantic and I took it home and finished it all. The salad was delicious with full of nuts, I wish the chicken was little more crispy tho it felt more grilled than crispy. The waffle is the best it's the best I have tasted so far. First time visitor and future regular guest. I chose this place for my fiancé's birthday brunch because she likes cute little places and the menu online along with the Chef's profile were quite appealing. The restaurant was beyond cozy and there aren't enough words to express how delicious the food was. The topper was being able to meet Chef Lori Pope. She stopped by doing a regular table visit and acknowledged my fiancé's birthday while offering her a "princess tiara" to keep. This thing was not cheap and she said, that it was her gift. At first, I could see the reluctance to wear it, but after putting it on, I knew she felt special. The gesture alone meant more than you know. While speaking about the food I asked about a certain ingredient out of curiosity because it gave the dish a unique level of spice while also adding exploding flavor. Chef Lori went to the back and returned with some of the spices and a sauce for us to take home with us. I am a restaurant guy and I was inspired to witness Chef so proud of her establishment and her food that she wanted to be present to speak with her guests and share her love of food. Mud/Wtr latte, my first time trying it; not my last. For dessert, I had to have another (I got one Friday) vegan carrot cake, it's absolutely delectable! I was too full to eat it at the restaurant, so I took it to go. It's typically a wait on Sunday, but I opted to dine al fresco so my wait was eliminated. It was just fine, I love that Texas heat. I was telling a buddy who was visiting from out of town about this place and how I good it was. When we were getting ready to head there, I opened up YELP to show him the pictures of the food and the menu. However, when I checked my Yelp, I saw this lovely message from the owner. I guess she can't take a small bit of customer criticism in regards to her services. Even though my reviews have always been positive, she has banned me from her establishment because of what I previously said in regards to orange juice. I won't say anything negative as a retort to what has happened, but just know that this is how the owner prides herself as "professional business owner". I am truly sad to say that I would and will never recommend Harvest to anyone I ever talk to based on the lack of respect and poor demeanor of the owner. They had me as soon as I walked in with some of the most pleasant background music that took me back in time to better times. I ordered the "pigs in a blanket" plate, while my wife ordered the "hot chicken breakfast tacos" my plate was on their online menu but not on their store menu. BOTH WERE DELICIOUS. Came here and they gave us a QR code so join the wait online, we ended up waiting for about 15 minutes on a Friday morning. I ordered the salmon avocado toast and a side waffle and loved my dish!
