IV had lunch here twice. Service was great both times. Food is very good. Once I had the turkey Rubin and the other time their Cuban. My wife had the bean burger. I'd go back for any of these. My colleague had the meatloaf. It looked amazing but he said that he thought it might have been amazing a week ago but tasted awful then. Although the place is gigantic it doesn't seem that way. Harvest Moon is great! I would definitely recommend it! I was going to give them five stars, but I think I may have caught them on an off day! A couple to months ago I had a much better experience here, but it was still amazing! It's a great environment and they got us right in! The server accidentally charged me too much for my meal and I was glad I noticed it! She was super nice about it and changed it for me! The food the second time was great, but the first time it was better! I think you just have to know what to get! It is more on the pricier side for char you are getting, but it's pretty good! We were in Rome, GA for a business trip with my coworkers. This place was suggested by one of the frequent travelers to Rome, GA. This cafe is located right on downtown and the parking is meter based. This place is kid friendly and family friendly along with business casual ambience. The staff were amazing and the decor was just out of this world. Their mouth watering friend green tomatoes and sweet potato chips are to die for!!! They have few vegetarian options. I .not sure of they vegan options. I am also not sure if they do outdoor seating or to go orders. The taste of the delicious food is worth the price. I will definitely go to this place again when I am near Rome, GA next time. Definitely recommend this place. read more

This was a pleasant surprise. Great, great service and the food was really good. On lunch, I ordered the lobster roll, toasted, fried green tomatoes, the chicken egg rolls, and they had steak and a really good looking sandwich. All of the food was delicious. I will be in Rome more often, can't wait to try out more. The clientele and was off putting, no variety whatsoever, and more seniors than not, but it's Rome, GA. I have to remember that when critiquing these places but nonetheless the service was great and this place is a true testament to not judge a book by its cover or patrons. The food is a hit or miss. Either cold or over cooked. One time I had burnt egg rolls, they replaced it and didn't charge me for it and it was actually delicious and really good and customer service by the waitress and manager was excellent. I went back to try the egg rolls again, and other dishes as well, they were busy, and the food took for ever to arrive and when it did, it was cold. Customer service was horrible, our waitress ignored us, the waiter from the other table though, did great, all his tables were happy and he even helped her out too and he ended us serving us since she ignored us. My friend loves their beers, they have so many awesome options she said. Anyhow, the experience is a hit or miss. read more

We made a reservation , and when we arrived the hostess must have been having a bad day. She was overwhelmed bc there was a concert in town, so I understand. My issue was that the reservation meant nothing. She was very short with me & told me that even though we had reservation, it only meant we would be added to the list. She then said would you like to sit upstairs, (if you get asked this say NO) We went upstairs and we were the only table up there, it was a an empty space, looked like for storage. This was our fifth time there. The service was excellent. The food was just ok. I had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was good but it was mainly a funky type of lettuce that made up the salad. My husband had the turkey Cuban. He said it was just blah. My son enjoyed his burger. The bathrooms were gross. The women's bathroom smelled like urine and was very dirty. My husband said the men's bathroom had urinals very close together and light fixtures not attached the wall. So a fire hazard. I used to live in Rome and this was one of my go to spots and I never had an issue, and I am talking about before I could even drink, so you can't blame the good food on drinks, but man, I truly and honestly want to know when did this place go downhill? When we first walked in barely anyone was there, but the manager looked around as if it was the end of the world trying to find us a place. Our server was all over the place, no really, all over the place, inside, outside, I couldn't keep track. There was a couple that came in after us and I saw them sit down, her say she would be right back, like she had to a couple of people that were already there, ourselves included, them wait about 10 minutes for her to come back, and then just stand up and leave, which was understandable, and the worst part about it is that she did not even notice that they had left; did I mention that it was not busy. The real reason I'm giving this place a two is because of the food. At minimum I would give a place a three if the food was good, because I mean that is the real reason to go to a restaurant right? Well for some world famous riverwalk cheese grits, may I ask where is the cheese? Furthermore why are my grits soup? My girlfriend got the salmon patties, it tasted, looked, and cut like they used box mix, but the part that really got to me and forced me to say something to the waiter to just return our food is that I asked for one thing, that my burger be cooked well done. When I say it was the complete and total opposite of well done, I took a bite, looked down at my burger and immediately spit it out, that's how raw it was. My companion had the salmon patties with 3 sides. So much food. The fried green tomatoes were good. I enjoyed the shrimp & grits. Did not have room for dessert but the Pecan pie looked delicious. Arrived there to be told that they don't take reservations...hmmmm So they set us upstairs in the bar and after 1 1/2 hours and others were being served food, we asked the bartender what was up! He disappeared and reappeared 10 minutes later stating they lost our 'ticket'. Another 15 minutes and others received their food, we went downstairs and to pay our bar tab. Overall, the food here was decent. Got to try a lot of the menu and a few things stood out. The sweet potato chips were abysmal. They were more greasy than my bike's chains. Take that as you will. Sweet tea was also overly sweet. However the coleslaw and Mac and cheese were the highlights of my meal. Everything else was pretty decent nothing special. The restaurant has a nice variety of seafood, steaks, Berry Angus beef hamburgers. There sides are so good, I'd patronize this restaurant just for the sides alone. We took a detour to eat here while on a road trip. Let me say, my extended family has eaten here many times and loved it, but it was my first time. I ordered the smothered chicken, cheese grits and collards. The chicken was pretty good, but the grits and collards were not good at all. The collards had an unusual flavor but I figured maybe it was just a seasoning I didn't like until I looked over and noticed the lady at the table next to me didn't eat hers either. Still I figured it was just me. Then I tried the cheese grits (they were cold) and simply couldn't figure out what was going on. If I had to describe the flavor, I would say evaporated milk mixed with the scent of candle wax burning. It was a very distinctive taste. All four of us ordered what was a fabulous fried chicken "meat & 3" ($12 as of 2/20/22). For my 3 sides, I got mashed sweet potato, cheese grits & slaw. All good.
