We're from way out of town and didn't know what to expect. Very nice atmosphere, terrific service, and great food. We tried what we assumed to be local dishes; grits, catfish, cajun chicken, crawfish cream, mississippi mud cake, etc...not a single dish we did not enjoy. The waitress, Kayla or Kaitlyn I believe, was super friendly and nice. We shared stories and compared hometowns. The manager Josh was also very friendly and kind. Found an eyelash on bread in my salad. The waiter did apologize and bring a new piece of bread. Wife and myself got the ribeye. Both were cooked very good. But for 32.50 the cut of meat was cheap. Both were very fatty and gristly. read more

Stephanie aka/ puddin was amazing waitress and that is what made the night worth it ! Now are fried mushrooms and salads and desserts were great But I would not recommend ordering a steak at all. First off our plates all came out cold but my wife's ribeye was well done and ordered it medium but I understand everyone is short staffed and things are tuff so we didn't complain. First time there today. To me, a restaurant is a restaurant. I've honestly never been more impressed with a local restaurant. The food was AMAZING! The waiter recommended the shrimp and grits and they did not disappoint! My husband got a steak rare and it truly was rare and the seasoning was perfect! My picky children loved their food as well. Our server was Christian. He is young, so no clue what to expect- but he was beyond fantastic at his job. The atmosphere is beautiful and rustic feeling with wood accents everywhere. Do not buy their gift cards. They did not honor a gift card that I bought for my parents from their website. The wait staff and manager also treated my parents very rudely when they pressed them on why the would not accept the card. They had eaten there for many years but will never go back. Basically this place stole $100 from me and insulted my parents. Yelp where are the negative stars? These "people" should be in jail. read more

Prime Rib was very tough and knife wasn't near sharp enough to cut it. Out if both wines our friends wanted.

Try the marinated prime rib with the jalapeño cheese grits. This is a stupendous combo, and these guys got it right tonight.

This used to be one of my fave spots in Columbus. It has went drastically downhill, especially in the service department. Inattentive waiters, extremely slow kitchen, and when the food finally gets there the order is either incomplete or incorrect. Won't be going back again. Our waiter was extremely inattentive. Barely ever refilled drinks. Did not know what any of the specials were. Had to ask about our salads after a 30 minute wait and then he spun us a BS story to cover the fact he forgot to put them in. Food came out about 40 minutes later. In the time we placed our order to when our food hit the table (and when it did our order was incomplete), an entire other section of the restaurant had been seated, eaten, and left. We had a party of six that came in on Father's Day with my 92 year old grandfather and we will not be back. This place has changed. Not for the better. read more

This is our second time to eat at Harvey's. This first time was when we had family in town and they were very accomodating of our larger group. We shone like stars for picking such a great place to eat. We were excited to have an opportunity to come back. Today we ordered one each of the specials. I would have posted pictures of the broccoli bites but we ate them all. Don't let the word broccoli fool you. They only add a little for color and so you can say you ate some vegetable. ...it's really fried cheddar balls with bits of bacon and a little broccoli for affect. The braised beef reminded me of Sunday dinners at Granny's. Complete with mashed potatoes and gravy. The only thing wrong with my trout was my husband's fork wouldn't leave it alone. DELICIOUS! Unfortunately no room for dessert. But we do have leftovers. We'll be back. read more

So amazing. Had a few drinks and an appetizer before ordering 2 filet meals. Everything came out timely and fresh

Had a graduation dinner for 9. Ordered a bottle of wine. Waitress brought a single glass. When asked about the bottle, her answer was "we only had enough for one glass". Ordered another bottle that didn't make it to our table until after the meal was served. Ordered an appetizer, it came with the dinner... and was luke-warm (mushrooms). Sent it back. Several of our guests ordered the prime rib medium rare. Every piece of meat was grey, over-cooked and "not hot". Horrible presentation for their "house speciality". I had the sirloin. Definitely not a "prime" cut as advertised. It was barely warm. Overall, a very bad experience. Would not recommend. read more

My husband and I are traveling America's Great Loop. Our stop today was Columbus Mississippi. We had a long day on the water and decided to borrow the loaner car from the Marina and head into Main Street. We chose Harvey's to have dinner. We were greeted by a young lady who opened the door for us, we sat at a nice booth and were greeted by two of the nicest young people who were to be our servers. We ordered The broccoli Bites, which were AMAMZING! The potato Soup- Devine! The Ribeye steak-perfection and the Shrimp and Grits- husband says were the Best Ever.
