Then we had the sweet pea tortellini and the lamb shank. The portions are "stated" family style meaning shared with the people in your party, this was perfect for us. But I feel the sweet pea tortellini is portioned for only one person, so order two. We had a 6:30 PM reservation but weren't seated until 7:02 PM, which honestly made us want to leave. What's the point of a reservation if you're waiting over half an hour? That part was frustrating and really set the tone for the night. Once we finally sat down, though, the food was great--we had lamb kebab, a bunch of appetizers, their pita, and desserts, and everything tasted really good. If anything, I think the chef is a bit heavy on the salt, but other than that, no complaints about the flavors. It was also very loud. We regretted going on a Friday night because it was almost impossible to have a conversation. My parents-in-law are in their 70s and 80s, and they were really uncomfortable with the noise. The music itself was good, but the overall volume made it exhausting. On the bright side, service was fast and our waiter was great--funny, knowledgeable, and super attentive. That helped, but it didn't fully make up for the bad start. Overall, food is five stars, but the experience wasn't. If you go, maybe aim for a quieter night--or just be ready for chaos. read more

I'm kind of torn on the experience here. We described it as a great dinner with an asterisk with the way it ended. I had a bit of a hard time finding it, so here's where it's at: if you come in at Palazzo and walk towards the casino, there's a bar on the left at the edge of the casino called Electra. Turn left and it's down there. Don't follow the signs to restaurant row because that's not where it is. We enjoyed our limonana cocktails and I also liked the Finger wine (cool bottle). All of the food was great: calamari, bruschetta, mushroom colony (and I don't even love mushrooms), hummus, beet pasta, and the sugar polished strawberry dessert. It's a cool, lively atmosphere and saw some dancing on the tables! Our bill was $370 for 2 people with an included gratuity. We saw we were charged $9 for a bottle of water that we didn't realize wasn't included. The server wasn't going to take it off, but eventually did. It just seemed crazy for them to make a big deal over $9. That's where the asterisk comes in on the experience. read more

They tell you from the moment you step inside that you're invited into their home to feast on Israeli inspired dishes created by Chef Eyal Shani. Our server went over each section of the extensive menu to talk about her favorites and describe some of the more eccentrically named dishes. I'm sure the cocktails are great but we were there for an early dinner ahead of a long night so my date and I decided to sip sparkling water. We started with a trio of vegetarian starters, all recommended by our server. The charred beetroot carpaccio was the standout and a perfect dish. Smokey, sweet, creamy and with a bite from the shaved horseradish on top, it hit all the flavor notes at once. The figs are also not to be missed, maybe even as a dessert option. Exceptional flavor and freshness. The eggplant lines were also good, but perhaps some crackers and a different serving vessel would elevate it. The dish felt slightly incomplete. For seafood we had the yellowtail sashimi which was fresh and simple. A little mound of beetroot wasabi accompanied. To complete our proteins we had the skirt steak in tomato ovaries and it was juicy and very flavorful. We had it prepared medium and it was exactly how we wanted. The finishing salt and spicy pepper salsa on top rounded out the flavors nicely. To finish we had the pistachio olive oil and raspberry cake which was no frills but moist and rather addicting. It paired well with the coffee we ordered. Overall this I was the highlight of our most recent trip and it's marked as a definite repeat in the future. read more

I was hesitant to come to HaSalon after reading a lot of the initial reviews. The ratings have improved over time and we were able to snag two bar spots for a little snack, so Jim G. and I figured, why not? Nathan was attentive and helpful, also making us some delicious cocktails. Jim G. had the It Never Rains ($22) and I had a very light cranberry Cosmo ($25). Yes, the prices are high here; it's Vegas and this is a swanky spot. For our light dinner we ordered the Terrifying Hammer ($45) and Ricotta Clouds ($29). Before these came out, we received some delicious pita with delicious creme fraiche and other delightful dips. This on-the-house treat was substantial enough to be its own appetizer, which definitely made us feel better about some of the prices. The Terrifying Hammer was a delicious Beef Carpaccio made table side with herbs, oils, etc. and, of course, the namesake, the Terrifying Hammer, which flattens out the carpaccio to paper thinness. I had a go with the hammer and it was a good time! The dish also was outstanding and very filling. The Ricotta Clouds were very tasty, though I may not order them again as there were exactly 7 for $29. Overall, I was impressed with the food, service, and ambience. HaSalon is mainly a high quality high end Israeli Style Restaurant in the Palazzo part of the Venetian on the Las Vegas Strip. This restaurant is by chef Eyal Shani who has restaurants all over the world and is a Masterchef. The atmosphere is rich and inviting. Service is very personal and efficient. They have two different services here. Either you want the early seating that starts at 6pm that is normal or you want the latter seating that is suppose to be wild and crazy. We tried the normal early seating. The good - all the food is either good, very good or AMAZING. The bad - Wines are mostly very high priced. The least expensive bottle is $140. Most of the food is priced fairly but two plates we had seemed way out there and I almost never say anything about prices but to be fair our dinner we shared was AMAZING and was very reasonable for what it was so it evened out a little. It is also hard to figure on how many plates you need to order. Some are extra light like air and others are filling. Whatever you order they start you off with complimentary delicious focaccia and really great embellished rich sour cream. My husband is a really big eater so we got many plates to try....I thought the amazing plates that we tried were the beets carpaccio with cream fraiche and horseradish snow. It was light as air but the flavors were amazing. The melanzana (eggplant with tomato foam and cheese) was also amazing but also was light as air and seemed pricy to us for what it was but to be honest it really was amazing. The dinner of stripped bass hraime (spicy tomato sauce) was my favorite dish with a lot going on. The fish was an extra large portion and was masterfully prepared. I don't know if they gave me extra but they for sure gave us enough for two people so this one dish was a great value and maybe a top dish to get on the Las Vegas Strip. We tried the 7 ricotta clouds......They are very good. I can't complain about their taste. But this is one of the dishes that the cost can make you grumpy because 7 (basically gnocchi) cost $43. dollars. The other dish that we both thought was amazing was the melanzana (eggplant almost like authentic parmesan ((not breaded)) ). This dish was amazing but is a very light dish with only a small amount of eggplant and cost $34. The only dish that didn't wow me was the spinach.....It wasn't bad but was very plain compared to everything else. I would highly recommend the sister restaurant that is casual and lower priced Miznon to every one out there. HaSalon may not be for everyone mainly because of some of the prices....But you can try some amazing dishes here! read more

Food and sides came 1hr apart, kababs were not good. Imagine ordering as example a filet with fries as side and they bring you the fries an hour before bringing the filet.
