Dined in on 12/13 around 6:30 PM: Came here for a work team dinner! I'll start off with the positives. There was certainly a nice variety of food and the menu is written in comic sans and is quite a funny read through. Definitely check it out prior to dining in. My favorite item was the butterflied grilled Branzino in the crushed tomatoes, that was quite tasty and moist. Heads up though, you have to be careful eating this as there were a ton of small bones. My least favorite was the beet carpaccio (plated beautifully!), but if you like beets, you will certainly enjoy this. The hamachi was okay - would stick with the grilled fish here. The service was good in terms of our waters being refilled constantly, but we had to constantly ask for serving spoons/utensils. For being a family styled dining experience, I would think each family styled dish would come with its own serving utensils, but often the serving utensils were only provided if we asked for them, or halfway through finishing the dish. Not sure if this was the case with all the other tables, but this was my main gripe. The dessert platter was kind of insane, best item was definitely the basque cheesecake, so I recommend getting this if you're in a dessert mood. read more

Wow what a night from the atmosphere to the food and the amazing service everything was amazing thank you thank you thank you

Food was great. Ambiance less appealing. I would describe this place as a farmers market in a collegiate nightclub with a hint of Olive Garden. Half the restaurant was celebrating a birthday so the staff was singing and clapping most of our meal. Patrons were dancing on the tables and bar. And staff were passing out shots which in turn encouraged more of the same. The kitchen is open and staff were drinking and dancing as well. And then there was a DJ. I couldn't figure out if this was how the restaurant was conceived or if it migrated into what it is today. It was just odd considering we dropped almost $500 on a meal for two and it was so loud we could barely carry on a conversation. So I guess the point is you're paying to watch a show? Stopped by the bar for a quick drink/dinner. Jon (the bartender) was great! Took care of me, offered his recommendation (Pom passion fruit mocktail with his preferred alcohol) and had plenty of food suggestions. Went with the peppercorn steal and asparagus. Nice place but a few things were not up to expectations. My wife decided not to get a $25 glass of basic red wine. Other things were just what that particular place did. Can't fault them for that. But multiple times during the meal a food server came out of the kitchen with steak carpaccio on a butcher block. He took a mallet and loudly pounded it for 5 minutes each time. Sounded like a construction site and was VERY difficult to hear. That can be done in the kitchen or with a rolling pin. We were glad when it was time to leave. read more

I would recommend this restaurant to any foodie who likes Israeli food! The food was amazing (5/5 stars) - especially the spicy lamb hummus, the level of service was mind-blowing (5/5 stars), and the ambiance (5/5 stars) was true to the restaurant's name: like grandma's living room at open (5:30pm) but slowly transitioning into an lively party by 8:30ish. We liked the beef tartare (4.5/5 stars) especially the freshness of the lemon zest, loved the hamachi tartare (5/5), loved the celery salad (5/5) with the crunch of the celery, bite of the chili, and freshness of the dill. I really enjoyed the toast with fig, cheese, and honey (5/5 stars) as well. I liked the zucchini spaghetti (4.5/5) with phenomenal al dente house spaghetti but for me personally, I liked but didn't love the zucchini sauce. I loved the spicy lamb hummus (5/5 stars) because of the nice strong tahini flavor and fyi the lamb was not that spicy. The small dessert platter (5/5 stars) came with 5 desserts, a large bunch of grapes, and raspberries. I was blown away with the pistachio cake (5/5 stars), the flavor was divine and the cake was moist and springy! I tried the dairy-based mafroukeh (5/5 stars) for my first time and thought it was also phenomenal. I liked the chocolate mouse (4.5/5 stars) and the cheesecake (4/5 stars) too. Overall, I think you can't go wrong with any of these dishes because our group loved everything we tried! I was so impressed by the quality of food, but I was especially impressed with the service! The staff are so attentive, detail-oriented, and friendly - I generally give every restaurant 5/5 for service unless I had a very negative experience, but I was so impressed here that I'll need to re-think that policy! read more

Another overpriced venue, using its name for fame. The best thing on the menu is the drinks. Everything is overpriced and flavor is lacking for middle eastern style food! The service charge of gratuity forced into your bill is the cherry on top to never return. I've never had Israeli food but big fan of this place! Server sat down beside us , went over the menu and we said just bring us the most popular items and so glad we did ! Casual, friendly, cool vibe here . Wasn't cheap but fair pricing on food and wine . Two of us had a really lovely meal at the kitchen counter. I feel like maybe there's a lot of reviewers dissatisfied with their food because the dishes are very much not meat/protein focused. It's not a steak and potatoes joint. SIT AT THE KITCHEN TOP. It's an experience and the team was so wonderful to watch. The ingredients are lovingly handled. It's like watching someone cook in their home for their favorite guests. The complimentary bread (I believe it's malawach because it tastes like all the malawach I've encountered) is so so good. Charred beet carpaccio is a yes. I love the presentation and plating. We had a really lovely time and the staff were fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful and perfectly unpretentious to me. Why four stars? I'm leaving a star off because I have one gripe. I found the wine list honestly pretty boring and so overly priced. I would've stayed and eaten 10 dishes (which are not inexpensive) but there was little incentive to lounge around and pair with anything on the wine list. Some adventurous additions and a reason to explore pairings would've been nice there. The only blah moment of the evening. I will absolutely be back. read more

2nd stop on our Venetian food crawl. They are open at 4:30 PM, so it helps fill in the time between 2 to 5 PM when most of the other restaurants are not open. We only tried the beet carpaccio and it was life changing. I would come back to try other things on the menu. However the seats were so uncomfortable, my back still hurts after sitting there for only 30 minutes. I'll bring my own cushion next time. read more

Ghe manager tells me the meaning of Hasalon is living room and that why they bring the food as it gets prepared and the reason my food came in 25 minutes after everyone else is because the kitchen was busy. Btw, we mentioned that we have two people with severe allergies to nuts and they brought the bday platter with nuts spread all over the fruits and cakes. We ended up in the room with EpiPen and ruin our night. I will never go back, the service was so bad and the staff specially the manager and the assistant were even worst. Came here for the second time and let me tell you, this had to be the best dining experience we've had. I don't understand how anyone says this place is lacking in flavor. To me, that just means you don't understand the quality or you don't appreciate simplicity. Every single ingredient, down to the produce, olive oil, etc. is of the highest ingredient. Simply, wow. We came to the party for my husband's birthday and couldn't have had a better experience. The dishes were all impeccable-- we particularly liked the mushroom pasta, the leeks and the focaccia with labne. Every staff member we interacted with was a gem. They brought the party vibe, sense of humor and provided a joyful, warm experience. Before we knew it we were dancing on the table! Management was incredibly rude. There are MUCH better places to go in Vegas. Save your money and your time, do not go to Hasalon.

The first thing to understand about this restaurant is that your meal will be expensive. And that's ok - the food is delicious albeit the portions in general are a tad small. But the quality and freshness of the food is top notch and that's what makes the difference. The best way to enjoy the experience here is in a tapas style with several different dishes. Pro tip - the bread they provide for the table is unlike any free bread you've had before. This is house made tomato and onion focaccia and it's fantastic. If they ask you if you want more the answer should always be yes. The star of the meal was the whole branzino. The best way I can describe this entree is "fish butter" as in the fish is so moist and unctuous it melts in your mouth. It's served with a cacciatore-style stew which was the perfect accompaniment. The service was impeccable. Food was portioned out to the table perfectly and our water glasses were never empty. Our server was awesome and took care to explain the menu items in detail. The sommelier delivered our wine with flair and great description. Overall we had a great time. We sat down at 7pm so it was the "early" seating. It gets pretty loud starting around 8:30 so plan accordingly. Our dinner for four was $700 including 20% tip (which they automatically add to the bill European-style).
