Hidden gem in Bulverde! I had a lunch meeting here and what a cool place. There is plenty of parking and you can sit inside or outside. I chose outside because of the great weather. It is right next door to the cutest post office. The inside is super clean and the decor is amazing. The employee at the register was so helpful and friendly. I ordered the Hatch Club meal with tomato basil soup and it came with a drink and a cookie. All of it was so good and tasted fresh. I was so impressed with this place. My co-worker also got the Hatch Club but got the chips instead of the tomato basil soup. She loved her meal as well. I did want to add that we both had the hibiscus tea and it was actually really good. I will definitely come here again since it has such great service and awesome food. Absolutely love this little place! It's so comfy to be there and everyone is very friendly. The food is delicious and perfect. We've been for breakfast and lunch. The waffle is my favorite breakfast but I have heard amazing things about the croissant sandwich. The bacon is thick and crispy and the waffle is slightly sweet but perfect. The ABLT was really good. We came for breakfast but it was over so we were forced to order lunch. Honestly, I'm glad we did because man, it was delicious! There is some indoor and outdoor seating. Everything on the menu is DELISH! My two favorites are the Hatch Club SALAD and the Chicken salad croissant! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu! We came to the restaurant and waited 45 minutes for our order to arrive, and then they brought the wrong order. They forgot to give us any silverware, then we found a huge wrapper in the middle of a salad and they forgot the dressing for another salad. We drove past this place a dozen times and never realized what a hidden gem this place is. My husband ordered the breakfast croissant sandwiches ( he highly recommends) and I ordered the hatch club. It was the best club I have ever had, everything was fresh and the sauce on it had the perfect spicy flavor. I am addicted now! what an adorable place! We stopped by in route and grabbed some pastries and coffee. We ordered two different types of lattes, and both were pretty average. we also ordered a few pastry items that were tasty, but would have loved to have had them warmed up as they were in a cold display case. We were told that just to heat the items would take about 30 to 45 minutes. We appreciated their transparency on being short-staffed and will keep them in mind for a future visit when we have more time. read more

Third time getting sandwiches from Hatch. The Italian sandwich is wonderful. So is the Hatch Club sandwich. I like that they have Arnold Palmers to drink. You get a choice of chips, fruit and something else to go with your sandwich. We have eaten at the restaurant and also picked up orders to go. We wandered up on Hatch 5 Market during our staycation, and it was the perfect place for a nice, relaxing breakfast! Social distancing and masks were still in place, and they have at least 5 or 6 tables for outdoor seating. We ate on the "front porch", and enjoyed the setting and their homey decor. The coffee and food was great. I had vegetable quiche and an almond milk latte, and my husband had stuffed avocados, potato soup and an Arnold Palmer. The fruit cup was mostly watermelon cut too close to the rind, but all in all it was good. The staff is very friendly, as were the other customers. I'd love to go back when we're in the area. read more

I worked with Missy to build a wedding day brunch for the bridal party at Hidden Falls and it was perfect! Several of the girls had food allergies, so Missy made sure to have gluten-free and dairy-free options on the table. All of the food was delivered promptly at our designated time. It was a beautiful table display - I regret that I forgot to take photos! We had an assortment of breakfast items and lunch items. I love this place, great menu, presentation, atmosphere and usually great service. Today, I decided to order an additional meal, the Chilaquiles, for the table. The lady taking my order told me they were Verde Chilaquiles and I asked that my eggs be cooked over medium. When they brought the food out, the Chilaquiles were served with a red sauce and it was cold. I explained to the young lady that, I was told they were Verde Chilaquiles and that it was cold. She responded with "we have never had Verde Chilaquiles" and took the plate. I thought she was just going to take it back and off the bill. She brought me back another order, which was hot but still with red sauce and my egg was well done. I explained to her my eggs were over cooked and she looked at me like I was the problem and simply said, "I'll let the kitchen know". I was floored, I could not believe the attitude, I have never had a bad meal or service there, Soooo disappointing. However, I will be back. We took our two grandkids here for lunch today. We ordered at the counter - two kids meal sandwiches and one turkey sandwich for me and my husband to share. The kid sandwiches and fruit can out and we waited and waited for the turkey sandwich which ultimately never arrived. My husband went to the counter to inquire about it and the employee said he told her to remove it from the order which he had not. She offered to put in another order but by then the kids had finished their meals. The online menu says the kids meal comes with a cookie so they went to the counter and asked for their cookies. The employee said it would be an extra charge for them and they no longer include a cookie with a kids meal. We left and won't be back. I get my hair done in Bulverde and alway hear about Hatch 5 from the ladies in the salon; I finally got it together and was able to have lunch before my hair appointment! Let me tell you, best decision! I ordered a Caprese Sandwich with chips and added a (huge) slice of German chocolate cake. The bread is freshly baked (best bread I've had outside of Europe), the tomatoes were ripe, and the mozzarella was melted to perfection! All around the elements of the sandwich came together perfectly, to create a meal you could eat time and time again without getting bored. Now the cake slice was huge, I thought my husband and I could each easily get two servings. Wrong!! It was so good, we couldn't stop eating it: fluffy and the perfect amount of sweetness!
