This location specifically ( the intersection of 10th street and Howell Mill) had its Grand Opening today (August 1st, 2022) and they brought the crowd out too. Just my luck everything was free today and I took advantage. Lol I came with a friend who was the one who told me about the Grand opening. This was my first time ever having Hattie B's and what I noticed that the staff was extremely friendly and made me feel like family. There was space for parking, space inside and outside to eat for large groups, good vibes for a friendly date or a solo outing. I ordered the chicken tenders w/ mild sauce (would've been $10 +tax). The tenders also come with 2 sides and mine were mac'n cheese and french fries. While we waited for the food to be prepared we both ordered a drink from their bar. I didn't expect their to be a bar but I did not complain. From the looks of what he poured it was a mixture of pink lemonade and some type of tequila. I'm not sure if they'll have these regularly but if so, you're in for a treat. After receiving our food and settling in to eat I must say that this food is pretty good. The chicken tenders are nice in size, very flavorful and seasoned and crunchy too. 3 tenders come in the combo and trust me, that's more than enough and when you add the sauce they are on point. The fries didn't disappoint either. Crunchy, seasoned and crinkle cut. Need I say more? However, the mac'n cheese was not giving like I thought it would but that's ok. It's not baked and it wasn't seasoned enough either but it's still got ate. The meal was definitely 8/10 though so I'll take it and I'll be back a few times for that chicken menu. read more

Had Hattie's before I lived in ATL and it was awesome. I see the quality hasn't gone down at all. I got a chicken sandwich, Mac and cheese, a wing, baked beans, a sprite, and peach cobbler. All of it? Incredible except that peach cobbler. I'm a sucka for peach cobbler, I tried it last time I went and it was terrible. Sad to say, the peaches are mushy, the flavor is muted and upsetting. Kinda tastes like someone puked in a delicious cobbler, mixed, and served it. The chicken was great, the sides were even better. Just try the banana pudding if you want dessert? I can't recommend as I don't like bananas but everything else is PHENOMENAL! read more

Recently ordered food for a tailgate. We have eaten here before and loved it. My guests were not familiar. We ordered wings and strips with different spices. Everybody loved it, including my grand kids. Our friends even took the leftovers, heated them and said they were just as good. We love this location on 10th because we spend a lot of time at GA Tech. Had the 3 piece tenders on mild with bacon cheese grits, collard greens, fried pickles, and peach cobbler. The grits and fried pickles didn't disappoint. The cobbler was a bit too sweet though. After looking at the reviews I wanted to give this place a shot. Let's just say I went 2 days in a row. The chicken sandwich is definitely good. I opted for the medium heat which actually made the back of my head hot. lol.... All in all, it's a must try. I may actually go a little crazy and try the hot. Went here with my pops last week on vacation after looking around the coke museum and aquarium. I have to say the service was polite and employees were nice. I had really high hopes for Hattie B's as a lover of Nashville Hot Chicken, but unfortunately my chicken was not spicy at all in my opinion. Maybe we hit them on an off day. When we walked in, the energy levels seemed low and the woman who served us did not seem to know much about the menu. I ended up ordering the "hot" level, assuming that the two levels above that would be astronomically hot as Nashville chicken usually is, so I was disappointed when my chicken came and did not feel much spicier than Frank's Red Hot. The batter itself was good, as were some of the sides. I'm hoping a return visit will prove more promising! read more

My wife and I always wanted to try Hattie B's and we finally got the chance to try it out. The ambiance was amazing and refreshing at the same time lol the service was great, the staff was nice and they make you feel welcome. I ordered a two-piece chicken with bacon cheddar cheese grits and mac and cheese. The chicken tasted super awesome and the bacon cheddar cheese grits were the best I've tasted so far, the Mac and cheese were not as good as everything else I ordered but there's room for improvement. Overall I would eat here again and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience awesome food and have a great time. read more

Since relocating to Atlanta for work in August 2022 I have been to two of the Hattie B's locations and I love their chicken tenders!! They are flavored and seasoned so well. I get funny looks when I order since I just love a hood and seasoned chicken tender. I don't need ANY sauce for these. The grits are amazing as well. I those as my go to side with either baked beans or collard greens. My kids love the HoT chicken sandwich and fries. If you want good fried chicken, come on over to Hattie B's and get you a tender!! Was excited to once again enjoy one of Nashville's best Hot chicken fare at this mid-west Atlanta location. Had the 3 piece wings (mild = no heat), southern style beans that bested the chicken, as well as their creamy and cool coleslaw. Hubby had 3 piece tenders, which did not have a crisp crust, but tasty as was his root beer float. Although they have a sign with liquor offerings such as their Watermelon margarita, the said the city hasn't given them their liquor license for those (but they do have beer and wine). Loud music pumps up the vibe, but at times we couldn't hear each other. While only a few Parkin spaces on property, they offer additional convenient parking right across the street. Was it as good as Nashville's (we used to live near their test kitchen there) - honestly, no. Music City's original has crisper chicken, more flavor. But it was overall a tasty treat! read more

Came in monday 10/7/24 about 2:30 pm got a fried chicken sandwich to go, which says on the menu one fried chicken breast, fried to perfection...Instead the sandwich had two dried af chicken tenders on the sandwich. So the cooks didn't make me what I ordered and used two pre fried tenders...that is such horrible service and pride of product from the chef... I've gone to this place many times since I've lived in Atlanta and will never be back because of their inconsistencies and this experience is really unacceptable. read more

HEY NOW !! OK, so just happened upon this place and decided to try. Once I was inside, and noticed it was fried chicken, I was a little concerned. There's just too many fried chicken joints with old nasty grease. So I decided to get some chicken pieces with no sauce on them to truly judge the level of this very pretty Fried chicken restaurant. When we open the Box with our chicken parts, the 1st thing we noticed was that this was picture perfect fried. Chicken. I know that may sound funny, but I'm not kidding. It was beautiful. A complete textbook pic. Perfectly golden Brown, and beautiful even coating over over the pieces. We started with the potato salad and it was fantastic, nice and cold, Perfectly cooked potatoes and just on point. The next was the baked beans. Delicious. Then we had a bite of the chicken. OMG. Unbelievable. Perfectly crisp and juicy. You could tell it was fried in nice clean grease. Within 2 bites we knew this would be our only chicken joint for fried chicken. So in a nutshell I can't recommend this more. If you are craving Southern fried chicken this is your joint. Absolute reference level fried chicken. read more

Curb appeal is amazing beautiful diner but the food is subpar. It lack luster to say the least. If you like dry chicken and half cooked beans and under cooked Mac and cheese then this is the place for you. But hey they tried. But I'm gonna give a lil advice for free because I'm a cook. Instead of having all the black people just being the face of the company and up front and the white recipes coming out the kitchen, let's do a flip. Learn and use the black recipes instead of those horrible salt and pepper recipes. It would be a game changer. I won't be back unless I hear about the changes.
