WHOO HOO !!! THESE CATS KILL IT !!!! I first tried Hattie B's in Nashville and was floored at how good it was AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE 2nd TO NONE !!! The location in Dallas is ON TIME !!! 5 stars counter service I mean in a fast food joint that is a thankless job these folks have amazing attitudes which is rare these days. Its a great meal excellent service and just a hip cool place for the best Nashville hot chicken in Dallas !!! Dont waste your time and $$$ anywhere else. Hey folks I live in Arlington and drive to Dallas for that meal, yeah, its that good !!!! Getcha Pull !!!! My name is Nathan M and I approve this message !!!

Came here for the first time and everything was fabulous. The parking lot was packed - which you know is a good sign. The server was attentive and took time explaining the chicken and rubs to us. I opted for a tender with the pimento Mac and cheese. I chose the medium rib which was perfect. Lots of seating and even a bar area where you can sit. Can't wait to go back.

Heard of this spot from some coworkers so I decided to try them for lunch. Your typical chicken theme restaurant interior. The name is what caught my attention; "hot chicken". It's because they have varying degrees of hotness!! Upon this realization, I retired to play it safe and opted for mild. I ordered the quarter chicken meal with baked beans and honey mustard on the side. They have several sauce options including ranch and their own comeback sauce. Unless you're someone who loves your face being on fire I would recommend sticking with mild. It gives you the best balance of flavor and heat. But they do have hotter. Even the mild may cause a few sweat beads but I thought it was delicious. Reminds me of classic southern fried chicken. If you're ever in the Dallas area they're worth a try. Service was pleasant and friendly; atmosphere was relaxed.

Always drive past this place and wanted to give them a go. I got the whole wings. They were good. Up there in price but good. The service was good and the food was fresh and hot. I went on a late weekday so plenty seating and parking. I would maybe try again just to check out the sandwich instead.

This is one of the better Nashville hot chicken places in the area! A good amount of heat and the chicken is always nice and juicy. The restaurant is new clean and big easy to eat in or come and grab and go quickly. Staff make sure to get your food to you quickly and hot.

Me and my colleague had just left a conference and we were hungry. We refused to pay $1,000 and our first born for 4 chicken tenders and fries at the conference hotel. Our first location had no parking spaces so we ended up at this restaurant. You place your order at the counter (bathrooms are located right next to the counter which are clean). This is a HOT chicken place so selecting the level is crucial to enjoying each bite. My colleague ordered regular strips and fries, while I ordered a quarter dark at HOT level with fries. The food is brought to your table and you could see the strips are a good size. The moment arrived, and I took a bite of the leg. It was an explosion of flavor with the mixture of the dark meat and the hot seasoning. Each bite was great and you could taste the rub. The HOT had enough of a kick to say woooooo (Insert Rick Flair voice). Good portion, good customer service and flavorful food so ill be back in the future

What visit to Dallas is complete without stopping by Hattie B's? Stopped in on my way to the airport, yes it was that important. Planned to take it to go and opted for dine in. Food: Chicken tenders hot, collards, Mac and cheese, Arnold Palmer to drink. Yum, yum, yummy, yum!!!! Everything was piping hot and so dang good. The pimento Mac and cheese was fresh and creamy, the tenders were juicy and perfectly spiced, collards were well seasoned and tender. Other hot chicken spots should take note, this is how it's done!

We always have a good visit here at Hattie b. We do like the new location. It def makes it easier to park and dine in. At their old location, I'd normally order to go bc I didn't want to bother with parking. I do feel like their spice level has weakened here. I used to get the medium spice and it was enough. Now it did not hit at all. So I think I'll try hot next time. We love the potato salad the most. It is very good every time. I liked the Mac and cheese, my hubby was okay on it. Prob get fries next time instead or more potato salad. While we were here, they seemed busy. It does look like there's more foot traffic at this location which is great. I hope they stay here.

Oooof. I have never had a bad experience with Hattie B's until today. I ordered the three piece tender set and the chicken was so shockingly dry it was inedible. Absolutely disaster. At least the coleslaw was good. Super sad the quality here tanked so suddenly

Hattie B's can never disappoint me truly! I was so sad when I thought our Dallas location closed indefinitely in Deep Ellum, so when I found it relocated to oaklawn I was STOKED! Now let's start off with the vibes okay! Every time I eat here I'm treated with a smile and good energy! The service is top tier! After we sat and got our food, we were consistently checked on! Let's get into the food! I love spice so my spice level is always medium or hot! I love their tender combo but you can't go wrong with on the bone! My boyfriend decided to order their waffle on the side and omg! It was spectacular! The perfect chicken and waffle combo! They also serve an assortment of frozen drinks and beer on tap! But I always love to go for their sweet tea with a dash of lemon! So refreshing! We will definitely be back seeing they also have a drive through! Such a good experience overall!

I picked up Hattie B's to go and really enjoyed my meal overall. I tried the fried chicken sandwich as well as the kid's meal with a medium tender. The sides included mac and cheese as well as french fries. The sandwich was the star of the show for me and was fantastically fried and seasoned. It was crispy and everything you want out of a chicken sandwich. The tender was good and wasn't quite as spicy as I was expecting for medium. The fries were also solid, not the best I have had but respectable. The mac and cheese was fine to me but I would probably get something else next time. Overall, I was very pleased with my meal and would come back next time for the sandwich.

Substantial, juicy, Crunchy, fresh chicken breast, topped with coleslaw and two pickles... excellent

We Have A Winner! When I saw the announcement Hattie Bs was closing in Deep Ellum, I was disappointed. I had finally found a great Hot Nashville Chicken joint. Then, just as quickly,I was elated to find out it wasn't a closing at all but, a relocation. Luckily, I remembered as I was cutting across town that, the new location in an old original International House of Pancakes building, was close. Perfect. The new menu is a little confusing and could use some help. However, the staff is super friendly and smoothly facilitates the ordering process I went for the classic mild sandwich. A chicken breast fried to perfection on a soft white toasted bun topped with well executed cole slaw. Almost perfect. Speaking of perfection, the crinkle cut fries( I hate to sound cliche) are the best I've ever had. Extra crispy, lightly seasoned outside, creamy soft inside. I could order just these and be happy. This location is more convenient than the parking nightmare of the old site. I've definitely found me another go to for Fried Chicken satisfaction in Dallas. Go!

I stopped by Hattie B's for dinner because I was craving some spicy chicken, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly, which made a great first impression. I ordered the Tender Basket with fries and chose the "hot" spice level from their variety of options. After being handed a cup to grab a drink of my choice, I sat at the bar and waited. Just 10 minutes later, my food was ready--and it was so fresh! The chicken tenders had the perfect level of heat, exactly as advertised, and the fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. Everything hit the spot, and I'll definitely be coming back for more!

We came here on a whim. A last-minute brunch decision. Nothing planned. No expectations. And what…read morefollowed was a core memory in three courses and a complimentary Bloody Mary shot accompanied by the cutest green olive. The moment we walked in, it felt like home, but not in the "kick off your shoes" way. No, this was the "you're safe here, baby" kind of home. The vibe? Cozy. Elevated. Like Restoration Hardware met someone emotionally stable. Elliott was our server and an absolute delight. Joseph was the manager, casually spreading joy like Oprah with a tray of Bloody Mary shots. Amber... now let me pause here, because this woman deserves a paragraph of her own. Amber isn't just a GM. She's the kind of soul you meet once and never forget. When I asked for her to come to our table just to pay her a compliment, we both practically teared up. She received it with open arms, no ego, no deflection, just pure, gracious presence. I was mid-sentence and suddenly I had that Creed song stuck in my head. You know the one. "With arms wide open..." That's the kind of energy she brought to the entire restaurant. Amber made every person in that room feel like they mattered. Not because it's her job, but because it's who she is. She's fresh off earning her master's in hospitality, and if that degree came with a crown, she's wearing it. The Porch doesn't just run smoothly. It runs on Amber energy. But let's talk about the moment I saw God. Cornbread Eggs Benedict: Not crab. Not salmon. Corn. Bread. And not just any cornbread. The softest, fluffiest, most cuttable cloud of golden glory I've ever had the pleasure of annihilating with a fork. A fork, not a steak knife. Do you understand how rare that is? Normally I'm out here sawing through an English muffin like I'm in a lumberjack competition. This? Melted like butter. Tasted like a hug. 12/10. Incredible. And then, as if the eggs benny enlightenment wasn't enough, Joseph reappears with a tray of free Bloody Mary shots for the entire restaurant. With olives. For everyone. The joy? Immediate. The energy? Electric. The crowd? Unified. I watched a grandmother at the next table raise her glass like the queen she is. I nearly cried. This wasn't service. This was a masterclass in human connection. Restaurants can be transactional. Robotic. This was the opposite. This was care, intention, soul. My high school principal once said: "The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little bit of extra." The Porch brought extra, bagged it, garnished it, and served it on a tray. Final thought: If you're not brunching here, I'm concerned. If you are? I'll raise my Bloody Mary shot to you. And Amber, if you ever run for mayor, you've already got my vote. I'll run your campaign and show up in a custom t-shirt.

At first, I was a little hesitant because the menu is fairly small, but after my meal, I can see why. Every dish we ordered was absolutely a 10/10. I had the chicken with greens and shrimp fried rice, along with the fried green tomatoes and cornbread. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I honestly don't have a single negative thing to say about either the food or the service. This was an amazing dining experience, and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I do want to start with the positives. Our waiter was fantastic. He was very attentive, explained the menu thoroughly, and provided excellent service. The food also came out incredibly fast and piping hot, which is becoming rare these days. We started with the cornbread, and it was easily a 10/10. It was worth every bit of the $12. We ordered the fried chicken, greens, shrimp fried rice, biscuits, and hot water cornbread. The fried chicken was crispy and tender, but it lacked seasoning. I'd give it a 7/10. They served it with a house hot sauce, but surprisingly it had no heat and almost no flavor. I even asked the person I was dining with if they tasted anything because it was like pouring sauce on the chicken without changing the flavor at all. The greens were just okay on their own, but once we added the vinegar they became amazing. That made me wonder why the vinegar isn't incorporated into the greens from the start. The hot water cornbread had virtually no flavor. The shrimp fried rice was cooked really well, but it had an unexpected Caribbean-style seasoning that threw me off. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I was expecting, and it made it hard to fully enjoy. The biscuits were probably the biggest disappointment. They were dry and hard. One thing I also noticed is that, for a family style restaurant where you're encouraged to order several dishes to share, the tables feel too small. Once all the food arrived, there wasn't much room left, and even packing up our leftovers was awkward because of the lack of space. One standout that deserves recognition was the iced tea. It had what tasted like a subtle hint of mint and was incredibly refreshing. Easy 10/10. From the cuts of chicken we received, it appears they break down and fry whole chickens, which is perfectly fine. However, at $56 for a fried chicken that lacked seasoning, I found the price hard to justify. Maybe the cooking method or oil contributes to the cost, but I expected much more flavor for that price. Overall, I'd rate my experience a 7.5/10. Would I come back? Yes. I'd be willing to give Roots another chance and try something different from the menu. But when I hear Southern food, I expect bold seasoning and comforting flavors, and that's the one area where this meal really fell short.

Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K
