We spent the day with my granddaughter up in Jerome and she was craving lunch. We had eaten there before (different name) and were excited about trying out the new menu. Went there for my birthday lunch today after multiple decent experiences in the past. I ordered their 1/2 pizza 1/2 salad for $15. The Caesar was not fresh and tasted like low-quality bagged salad from the grocery store. The pizza was the "Americano" , and I could not even see any pepperoni. There may have been 1 or 2 under the cheese. I also asked for extra lemon with my water, and I only got 1 slice. The pizza and salad combo is not as good as the other place I go to in Phoenix that has the exact same lunch deal, but delivers more with fresh salads and more toppings. I did not even finish my meal. Oh, and by the way, I am an avid pizza eater and have dined at dozens of the best pizza places across the country, and even the world. It was disappointing because I wanted to like this place, and have had good experiences from before, but I can't trust their quality anymore. read more

Took a day trip to Jerome and couldn't resist, after people recommended this place. Beautiful little restaurant and people so friendly!! We sat at the bar and I had a lemon cello spritz........excellent! We chatted with a super friendly woman bartender, can't remember her name, and also the owners son who was back in the kitchen, which was directly behind the bar. He told us how they import the flour and tomatoes from Italy and they're one of a few pizzerias certified authentic here in the US. We shared a capresse salad and pepperoni pizza. We haven't had pizza like that since we visited Italy. Of course I couldn't leave without taking cannolis to go.......and they too were so good! I wish we had a place like this where we live, Surprise AZ........but then again maybe not, I'd gain 10 lbs /month! Highly recommend and if we are ever anywhere near Jerome again we will definitely come back to try one of their handmade pastas. read more

Seriously the best pasta I have ever had. Everyone at our table was blown away at how flavorful and fresh everything was. Stopped in for lunch in our way to the Verde. The pizza and salad that our server recommended were delicious! And it all started with our superb waiter Nicholas. Very friendly and informative. He was able to describe the cocktails and food options in detail, especially emphasizing how everything was made fresh on site. It was and you could tell. The pasta had texture to it, the meatballs were not perfectly formed, and the sauce had fresh herbs in it. And the sauce was rich tasting. The pizza crust was definitely hand formed and the toppings were amazing. We all shared our food because it was so good. ("You gotta try this.") And even though we were stuffed, we ordered dessert just to taste some more of the home made styled goodness. Limoncello cake and cannolis (traditional and pistachio), both of which were carefully described by Nicholas. I was really excited to try this place. I was hopeful someone local was going to get it right with homemade pasta. I am Italian and my Mom and I used to make homemade pasta. It's a lot of work and tricky I would think to serve to larger crowds. Of course I ordered the pasta and was very disappointed. It was undercooked and gummy.
