A popular chain with like 4 restaurants in South Beach alone. Their menu does seem to be like a list of Cuban highlights. Don't go if you're time pressed; the kitchen can be a little slow. Fried Red Snapper: They made an odd choice to bend and fry the fish. Makes it hard to pick off the meat, without bones, cleanly compared to a flat fish fry. Also, there wasn't much in terms of diced aromatics or sauces, so felt kinda plain. And it took a lot longer than the promised 20 minutes (more like 45 minutes). Fried Yuca: Crispy on the outside and fluffy instead. A nice herbal green dipping sauce. Tostones: Crispy all around. Liked the garlicky oily sauce for dipping. Mojito: Got the pitcher for the table. Not too sweet. Very minty. Quite enjoyable.

Vibe was okay but long wait for food, ~30 minutes

I checked the reviews before I visited this place. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, maybe we were just unlucky. The wait time was so long. It's not super busy though. Our food took about 25-30 minutes to arrive, also, there was a sign on every table advertising live saxophone music at Thursday 7:30 pm, but no music ever happened. We ordered truffle yuca fries, extremely small portion, $13 with six tiny yuca sticks (check the picture I posted), worst of all they were overly greasy. Vaca frita was another letdown. The shredded beef was very dry and lacking flavor, topped with sour onions that I really didn't enjoy at all. It came with moro rice and plantains. The rice with black beans, was undercooked. The plantains were the only thing I actually ate. 20% tip was mandatory charged. Taking into account, the food, service, the wait and overall experience, this was a bad experience.

Not only was the food really good here, the manager and several help us connect with an uber driver to track down a lost phone. They were both so kind and helpful. We sat outside, so the ambiance was perfect. Highly recommend the mojito with the sugar cane garnish & I really enjoyed the shrimp ajillo. Will return

This was ALWAYS a MUST when we are in South Beach, (though I will say I usually prefer the Ocean Drive location and I wish I would've gone there instead) Nice ambiance, but the service was horrible, the waiter had too many tables and couldn't keep up, we waited forever just for refills after asking twice, the food wasn't as good as usual, it was cold, and the cocktails were just okay... If we ever go back it won't be to the particular location. Service is everything.

This was the best romantic ambiance so far here in South Beach! Everyone was sitting outside listening to the music etc. we were sitting inside and loved it. It was perfect. Had some vino and some yummy food and awesome service!

This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants and I try to dine here every time I'm in South Beach. I made a reservation on a Friday night and was seated as soon as I arrived. They have a small inside dining area and many additional tables, (covered,) outside on Lincoln Road. I was with 2 friends and we opted for an outside table so we could people watch during our dinner. Our server was Alberto and he came over promptly to take our drink orders. I ordered a coconut mojito, which was refreshing and delicious. My 2 friends ordered a Cabernet. Drinks came out quickly and we were also given a container of plantain chips to nibble on. (One of the things I love about Havana 1957.). For our meal 2 of us ordered the vaca frita de pollo. It was cooked to perfection and full of Cuban spices. There was also black beans and white rice on the side. The price was $22 and it was a very large portion. I was able to take 1/2 of my dinner home for lunch the next day. My other friend had the regular vaca frita. Hers also came with rice and beans and she said it was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was pleasant and vibrant. We really enjoyed it when almost all the employees came out at 9:00pm to sing and do a little dance right on Lincoln Road in front of the front entrance. It added to the mood and many passersby stopped to watch as well. I have been to all the different Havana 1957 restaurants in Miami and Pembroke Pines, and the Lincoln Road location is my favorite. We had excellent service from Alberto and the food and drinks were delish!

Came here for lunch today. We sat out front. Fairly decent service overall, although it was a bit spotty at times. We started with the chicken croquettes, but they brought us cheese by accident. "Thought I heard cheese", the waiter said as he apologized. No worries, as the chicken replacements came out soon enough. My wife had the shredded beef bowl, and I had the griddled fish. Both dishes were fantastic. Fish was cooked perfectly, and the plantains were yummy. Drinks sat empty a few times, and 10 oz bottles of soda for $4.50 weren't great either, but the meal was delicious.

I absolutely loved my experience here! The chicken and lechón were so delicious -- full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The piña colada during happy hour was amazing, super refreshing, and the perfect touch to the meal. The atmosphere was vibrant, the music made it feel like a true Cuban escape, and the service was great too. Definitely a must-visit spot in Miami if you love authentic Cuban food and good vibes!

What an amazing experience! Our waitress was Jocy and she was so attentive and kind! She was prompt and so helpful with menu choice selection. Definitely coming back and recommending others to come as well!

This restaurant is a tradition each time i'm in miami beach. I always get the sampler but next time i'll try the fish, either fried snapper or grilled seafood. Always need to have the mojito. It's the best! Outside seating and the music is very enjoyable.

Food was SO good. I got the Cuban sandwich and I'm not a huge Cuban person, but this one was DELICIOUS. My mom got the Pollo Havana 1957 and thought it was really good as well. Service was decent. Ambiance was odd because it's in the middle of the pedestrian/mall/sidewalk area, but it was a good spot for a quick lunch and convenient for shopping.

I have always had a good meal here. I feel like this is one of the best Cuban places in Miami Beach. The only issue is the price because it is on Lincoln Road the prices are pretty high. Service is good and the ambiance is nice. Would Definitely come here again for a good Mojito and some solid Cuban food.

We ordered the Cuban sandwich and the Cuban burger, and honestly both were dangerously good. The Cuban sandwich was exactly what you hope for -- crispy bread, perfectly pressed, packed with flavor, and the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid-bite and just nod at the person across from you like "yep... this was the right decision." The Cuban burger was also fantastic -- juicy, flavorful, and big enough that you start questioning whether you should have skipped breakfast. The area around the restaurant was great too. Nice vibe, good energy, and perfect for walking around before or after eating... which you will probably need to do after finishing that burger. The servers were good -- friendly, attentive, and thankfully didn't judge us for attacking the food like we hadn't eaten in three business days. Overall the place has a fun atmosphere, great Cuban comfort food, and the kind of menu that makes you want to come back just to try the things you didn't order the first time. The roasted pork was tender, juicy, and packed with savory garlic-forward flavor. It was comforting, flavorful, and paired really well with the traditional sides. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made the dining experience smooth even during a busy time. The vibe is lively and colorful, with a nostalgic Cuban café atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel festive and welcoming. It's a great spot for groups, casual dinners, or anyone looking to enjoy classic Cuban comfort food. Overall, a really solid Cuban meal with bold flavors and generous portions. I'd come back to try more of their traditional dishes and cocktails.
