First time here and will be back. Definitely nice to see a Cuban resturant in the area. Had the Masas de Puerco with plantains and rice and beans. Would have liked some Mojo on top or more but still good. Had to also get some guava and cheese pastries for later. Got some good recommendations from our server. Nice relaxed atmosphere and plan to be back to try more. Only regret was not getting a coffee. Maybe next time. read more

Havana Bistro was a very good hidden gem! We got Cuban sandwiches and mofongos with pork. All were very authentic and delicious! We also tried quite a few of their desserts: the coffee cream, guava flaky pastry, and their little cakes. The desserts were very very good, but the guava flaky pastry was definitely my favorite! Let me start with the service! The ladies behind the counter were very helpful in deciding an authentic coffee, which was spectacular!! I had the cortado with almond milk.. spectacular! For food I had a Cuban sandwich.. not a mustard fan so had Mayo. This sandwich was delish.. I had to eat almost eat alll of it after being stuffed! The other dishes looked amazing and have heard they are spectacular as well! The restaurant has a great chill vibe with Cuban music... love the energy. I can't wait to try more dishes from this establishment! You can tell the owners and staff are hard working and eager to please to make it in this tough restaurant industry and anyone who says different is an uneducated, entitled moron... js will be back many times!! read more

Last night, my husband suggested we try the new Cuban restaurant nearby. I confess, I've never enjoyed a Cuban dinner before, but one of my all-time favorite breakfast spots is Cuban! We were the only customers at 6 PM on a Thursday evening, but business picked up. They have a comfortable and colorful array of seating available. We took a 4-top with orange and green seated chairs. I explained to our server that we were not well versed on Cuban foods. She suggested a combo appetizer platter, a surf-n-turf plate and a pork dinner. We opted for the appetizer combo and the pork (which came with beans and rice) as well as a simple spaghetti for our son. The appetizer plate arrived quickly after we ordered and we dove in. Everything tasted amazing! The tamales were so flavorful, more so than the Mexican ones we've tried. We especially liked the (forgive me, I don't know the names of the items) deep fried ball of mashed potato. The pork arrived next with the customary Cuban sides of black beans, rice, and fried plantains. We could have used a salsa, but the beans were so flavorful, we just mixed them in with everything else! The pork (I believe it's the roast pork option) was juicy. The portions were so generous my husband and I just shared the appetizer combo and the roast pork and still had food to take home. Our son loved the spaghetti! This was a great spot for my family to grab a quick but tasty meal. We will be back! read more

While I ordered Togo the service I received was great the staff was ready and willing to answer any questions I had about the menu. I ordered the roast pork with congris and French fries while my brother ordered chorizo and cheese croquettes along with Cuban ham and cheese empanadas, and Colombian beef empanadas. My brother said each of his dishes was delicious but I have to give high praise to the roast pork. The pork was juicy and perfectly seasoned and the congris was perfectly savory for this dish along with the fried chicharron on top I couldn't think of a thing that would make this dish more prefect! If you're in the area you should do yourself a favor and the dishes here a try. read more

I love trying different food and I have been craving empanadas and I saw this place right by my house by H-E-B and decided to try it out. Everything was sooo delicious! I recommend the chicken empanada is was super flavorful and a little toasty which I loved. I only which I had some sort of sauce to dip the empanada in. Cuban was bomb, I split is with my Wella and she loved it! The pork was so soft def recommend. The customer service was also amazing, the sweetest beautiful lady helped me out at the front and let me know what everything was! This is also a great place to study or get some work done it's relaxing and quiet (for the time being, till we get some more people to try this place out). Most definitely will be back!!! read more

Have had lunch here twice in last couple of weeks. Party of two both times. Had Cubana sandwich ab steak sandwich. Both very good. Good fries and salad . Orders tend to come out not at the same time. Only real negative is the 2 percent service charge for using a credit card. Almost no restaurants do this today and it feels like gouging. read more

This restaurant has a new owner. I have been going there since it opened a few years ago. It's always been slow but today was horrible. I had to wait 2.5 hours for my order to eat in, just sandwiches. I had placed another one to go. I still had to wait 30 more minutes after I had finished eating to get my yo go order. The waitress was very busy and it was only her doing everything. I was almost done eating and still had not gotten napkins or my drinks. I had to get up to go get it. I spent $120 plus tip for not so good food and awful service. Not going back. read more

The service here was beyond horrible, the food was bland, they didn't have half of their menu, they don't serve water unless you buy overpriced bottled water, they don't serve beer, there was literally nothing good about eating here.
