I've heard of Havana Cafe for years but never made my way there, until today! 12/18/22. My review is based on a Sunday early dinner service which began just as their brunch service ended. We were greeted by Niyah, very nice hostess who was very attentive while we were there and graciously offered us unlimited sangria even though brunch ended at 4pm and it was 3:55pm when we entered, I thought it was nice of her to extend that courtesy. I'll start with ambiance: space is nice, looks like it can get really tight when crowded but as we were coming at the end of brunch it ended up feeling cozy and warm. Music is loud, but we were still able to have conversation without having to scream at each other to hear. The bathrooms are clean and if you've read my other reviews you'll see that I will judge a whole restaurant based on their restrooms cleanliness... (so happy to report Havana Cafe was on point there.) Appetizer: We had the Pastelon Cubano it was sooooo tasty! It's best described as a type of "lasagne." Except there's no pasta, they use Maduros (sweet plantain) to layer with meat and mozzarella cheese. We chose the option with shredded beef instead of ground beef and it was really good! Would definitely order again. Entrées: Vaca Frita: this dish is supposed to be a shredded beef that's cooked to a crispy char and is loaded with onions and flavor, served with black rice and beans. The beans were tasty but nothing special about them. The beef wasn't crispy at all and lacked that necessary texture I was expecting. But it was really flavorful and filling so I'd say it was still a good meal overall. Lobster from the Cuban fusion menu was pretty good as well. The lobster was a bit over cooked for our taste but the flavors were spot on. It comes with a fried rice that has maduros in it and my partner liked it. It was a bit too overpowered with cilantro for my taste, but she really enjoyed it! The sangrias were pretty good. They didn't add as much fruit as I was expecting from a sangria. There were a few pieces of what was either green apple or green pear floating in the cup but nothing else. No pineapple, red apple or even a piece of orange. It was a passion fruit sangria and a tropical sangria but there were no tropical fruit or actual passion fruit in the drink. I think that would amp up the drink and up the flavor a bit. But overall they were good drinks. Service was good our waitress was nice but I really want to point out how amazing the host Niyah was. She was really nice from the moment we entered and checked on us while we waited for our drinks and food! It seems like their staff works well together and it all flowed smoothly from what we could gather. As for pricing it was fair in my opinion. The quality and taste of the food was worth the price they're asking! We'll definitely be back.

Cozy place with extremely authentic Cuban food. It is not in the best neighborhood, but the place itself is pretty nice. Yummy food, great drinks and prices. I visited around your typical weekday happy hour time, just before the after work rush. The space was large and there was plenty of room at the bar. The bartender was upbeat and attentive, offered great recommendations for food - and served us promptly.

You can't ever go wrong with the Picadera Parillada and Havana Sushi! This is such a legendary Bronx spot. The vibes and aesthetic inside transports you to Cuba. The food is well seasoned, the music is great and the drinks are delicious. The waiter was accommodating and added more Tajin to our drinks. Supporting local businesses is the way to go!

First time coming here for happy hour with my boyfriend and it was such a good vibe. There was a dj that was playing all types of music which is great as it caters to everyone. Our bartender was on point! His name was Neil and he suggested drinks such as the mango crush which was amazing, it was sweet with a little punch. I had two of those drinks and a mojito. Don't judge me lol. My boyfriend had a henny sidecar and another drink with Henny and champagne I recommend both for drink liquor type of people. As far as food, we had a platter which I thought wasn't a lot of food but lord we had enough to take home with an array of meat like grilled chicken, steak, and sausage with tostones and yuca fries on the side I cannot remember what it was called on the menu. It came quick as well.There are so many options from light food and heavy dinner food the choice is up to you. Oh wait, I forgot to mention how good it was there was an array of sauces on the side as well. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves at Havana and will definitely go back soon. There are plenty of stores nearby and trains as well. Ubers get there really quick as it is a pretty known spot. They also follow all CDC guidelines and the bathroom was clean as well. I recommend going to have a good time!

If your looking for a taste of Cuba then this is your spot. Havana Cafe is a friendly restaurant located in the Schuylerville section of the Bronx. If you weren't hungry when you arrived the aroma as soon as you enter will entice you. Nice restaurant/ bar atmosphere when the two don't compete. Music is set just right to put you in the mood to eat or dance. Down to business. I had the seafood mofongo & langosta Carribèna. Mofongo was tender & flavorful in a seafood sauce with generous portions of seafood. The langosta Carribèna (Carribean Lobster) had a coconut sauce that wasn't too sweet. The rice had sweet plantains intertwined within which was creative. I was in food heaven. Dessert consisted of a chocolate tres leches cake which was nicely done. Couldn't complain about the mojitos or the pina colada Havana Cafe is perfect for date or family night. I can't wait to go back & try some more. Definitely recommend.

Update: Still my favorite spot in my hood. But they changed their brunch deal from a $9 charge for two hours of unlimited drinks to $20. They do have a $40 brunch option now that includes unlimited drinks and a 3 course meal but if you want to pick your own meal, that's not in the brunch special, and have a boozy brunch you're paying $20. I still really enjoy this place but a reason why I love it is because of the affordability. The prices are increasing all around and I hope it continues to be as affordable and high quality as it is now Lunch specials every week day for $6- can't be beat. Drinks are always good. My favs are the rum punch and mango mojito. And the service is always great. Great for happy hour,lunch, or dinner with friends if you're into Latin cuisine

This review is based on Sunday brunch. We arrived as a group at 1130am for our reservation and was promptly seated. It was still pretty empty and stayed that way until a bit before we left at almost 230pm when they got packed. We all got the unlimited drinks for $9. The busboy (possibly extra server)...he was the real MVP. He kept our glasses full . 4 of us and we got the paella, the shrimp mofongo, and Madre y hija with regular ropa vieja. The paella was delicious and was the Madre y hija. That ropa vieja was super flavorful and tender. The mofongo was just okay. It was quite a bit dry (even with the ajo sauce) and they literally put 3 shrimp on it. To me that was pretty stingy. And I know a good mofongo as i order it ever chance I get on menus. Or main server was also a let down. She was very present until we ordered. Then we didn't see her again till we asked for the check.

I had dinner with friends on a week night......place was packed and we did have a small wait....nothing major......the waitstaff was attentive and friendly but I was not a huge fan of my food...now my friends enjoyed their meals but mines was a complete flop.....I had the coconut batter lobster tails......the quality of the lobster was poor and it was over cooked.....however where the lacked in food for me.....the drinks made up for it.....the drinks are on point......I had the Peach Lemonade and a Passionfruit mojito and I do not know which was better.......they both were refreshing super fruity yet strong.....strong in the sense that it creeps up on you....honestly I went here because I heard about them having a good happy hour.......I will most definitely give them another try with the food.....but they have me hooked on happy hour..... Beautiful spot, clean, organized and spacious! The outdoor patio was beautiful as well but unfortunately due the crazy heat, we stuck to staying indoors lol. Menu has a variety of foods to choose from. Many options even has a vegan section. The drink menu was a great selection with many options as well. Presentation & taste were both satisfying. For the price, you most definitely get your money worth. I had the Cubano salad with salmon and extra avocado & olive oil. Such a huge bowl of greens that left me beyond full. Other dishes were consumed by my company, check out the photos. There's street parking, usually not hard to find parking around the restaurant location. Overall, we are definitely coming back to this establishment! When we do, we will definitely try desserts since the coconut brownies had my curiosity, I can't wait!

I went there for Brunch. Lily was my server, she was excellent. The food was delicious. I had the fried green plantain appetizer. The brunch burger was good, however the bun was way too big. The sangria was delicious & comes in several flavors. They sell a dusse colado, its delicious. Overall the food & drinks were excellent. I will definitely go again. read more

Went today (5/30), sat down with two co-workers. We waited over twenty minutes . Waited so long , our friend let. Finally a waitress came over to take our order. She said they were busy; was annoyed that we brought to her attention how long we waited. We asked for the lunch special menu. She didn't know , shouted to someone else to tell her. "Yeah buddy, this place did it for me. From the food to the drinks to the service...I LOVED IT!" Literally said this last week about this establishment. This week am I in love? Ehhh not so much. First and foremost I would like to say that Rose is a sweetheart and she truly works hard to make sure patrons are having the best experience. The waitresses at this establishment in general are usually nice but Rose really does go above and beyond. We got way better service on a busy Saturday afternoon than we did on a slow Sunday evening at Havanah. The food was very salty, the beans served with my dish were more liquid than beans, and the yellow rice was not good at all. The main dishes were just okay. I will say that they compensated for things they ran out of very well. They forgot one of the sides that came with some of our dishes but they quickly rectified this issue. At some point, our table seemed a bit 'forgotten' which was odd since the place was not too packed. I was not impressed with my most recent experience. I am not sure what changed within a week but I was not feeling it. Since I am aware of what this establishment is capable of, I would not mind giving them another chance but I will most likely be taking a break from them for next few months. read more

This was a delivery order. I ordered empanadas--they have a deal where you can order three in any combination. I also ordered quesadilla dechampinones, and the pepper steak combo (I ordered grilled vegetables and red beans with smoked bacon). The empanadas were crispy on the outside and hot and flavorful on the inside. I ordered chicken, beef, and cheese and spinach (3 for 6 dollars). The steak was well seasoned and fairly tender. The veggies were average, and could have used a little more seasoning, but it was a big variety--zucchini, onion, squash, greens, and broccoli. The red beans and bacon was like a soup--tasted great and was thick and creamy. My favorite part of the order I think. The veggie quesadilla was also good--it was cheesy, but not soaked in cheese like some quesadillas. Full of beans and mushrooms. It had soy pepper jack, which I didn't even realize until now. Restaurant has an extensive menu that I would continue to explore. read more

I ordered pork chops with yuca and got rice and black beans instead. The pork chops were not pork chops. They looked like it, but it tasted like ham. Not very good. My husband had oxtail and got 4 pieces for $18. Not worth the price. Won't order here again. read more

I dropped in here mid day for lunch around 1pm. It was very chill, the food was good with a variety of lunch specials. I opted for the mango ribs which were sooooo good. There was also a rep there offering free Moscow Mules, my first time having it and I actually liked it. My waitress *I cant remember her name to save my life* was amazing... Walked in for happy hour and immediately was greeted with an attitude. It was 12 of us (I called ahead of time and asked for such a big party did I need reservations. Whoever was front of the house said no) turns out they didn't want to seat us they were huffing and puffing because they had to move tables and arrange 12 place settings. Then they sat us and for 20 minutes no one waited on us. No one came to ask if we needed water or to tell us who the server was. It was a horrible experience of happy hour. Everything for my table took 20 min or more (and for the record they weren't bringing massive amounts of drinks out it was 2 here 2 there) it's a table or 12 people who are willing to spend money and we were treated like we asked for our meal to be pro bono. So on that note they've lost my business. This was unacceptable and just rude. Oh they waited on everyone else super fast though read more

I came here with some friends after a work event. The restaurant definitely has a fun vibe and is a great way to start the weekend. The lighting and DJ make for an enjoyable atmosphere to have dinner and drinks. We ordered a pitcher of passion fruit mojitos which were perfectly made. I ordered the Ropa Vieja after a friend recommended I try it. So delicious!! The meal was huge. I love trying new dishes and can't believe I've been missing this. The meat was so tender and flavorful. Overall, a great night. read more

I wanted to celebrate my birthday with my husband and a friend. I know this place gets mobbed on the weekend so I decided to make a reservation online. I get a text message at 11am reminding me of my 12 pm reservation. Cool. We take a cab over there to make sure we're on time and are told they open at 1. I said are you serious? I have a reservation at 12. The girl was like yeah I know, we were trying to call you. I'm like who was? I don't have any voicemail. I do have a reminder text though. Wasted time and money. Happy bday to me, I guess. I would never come here or recommend again. Especially with so many other similar spots in the city and the bronx. Totally unprofessional. read more

I wanna give them more stars but I stay stuck at just the two. Lunch specials and happy hour are great prices and have quite a bit options for every one to enjoy. However, being I work all day, I never get to enjoy these options. I usually order to go since I live close by. As I wait for my food, I'll have drinks at the bar which are always good (my go to is the coconut mojito) nice,delicious, refreshing and strong. The bartenders there are extremely kind and very friendly. Always have a great attitude and that's why I come back mainly. However, the food is always something left to be desired. The pastelon Cubano at a $16 charge is a bit crazy because upon opening, it's looks beautiful and tasty but it's literally just massive cheese on top, always very salty and chunky pieces of meat. And the plaintains aren't even layered, just thrown in and so little amount as if they don't even barely exist. It looks as if everything was just mashed into one container. It just isn't worth it The appetizer of the chicarron di pollo - $12 for 6 small pieces is absolutely absurd. It doesn't even come with rice and/or beans which is nuts. It has no flavoring and is always over cooked and very hard to chew. The combination they choose to put in this dish consists of raw onions, peppers, jalapeño along with two huge slices of orange. Which is wild because it doesn't even go together. And it just makes all my chicken taste like oranges. Gross. Side order of rice is $3. Side order of beans is also additional $3. Crazy. What's even more insane is at the $3 charge for the tiniest container of "beans" that's 93% liquid. Absurd. The Cuban sandwich $14 or around there - one would think being a Cuban spot would make great cubano's ?? Absolutely not. It's actually quite disgusting and falls very short of an authentic cubano. The burgers at 15$ are a great price that comes with French fries. The burger is humongous. But again, it's never juicy and is always extremely dry making it very hard to consume and enjoy with pleasure. Calamari -$14 - is nice flavoring , but for the price it's very very small with about 10pieces of the smallest rings only. I like the tentacles best and this place doesn't provide that unfortunately. Food is extremely mediocre, expensive and always leaves something to be desired. $60 later spent tonight on a pastelon, 6tiny chucnks of chicken, rice/beans and two Stella's --- eh, more than half my food went straight in the trash. Thanks Havana. 'Cause I love throwing my hard earned cash straight into the trash ;) Long story short, convenient if in area, worth it during happy hour and lunch special. And only come back for the great and friendly bartenders. read more

Absolutely not. First I get to the venue, under the impression that unlimited sangria is $8-$9. It wasn't. I was presented with a menu where it was $40 bottomless three course brunch. The problem is ... who needs a three course meal for brunch? The menu was super selective. No steak and eggs, or breakfast at all besides the omelet. Very confusing. I asked for the other menu the waitress LILY mentioned it wasn't available. Cool. The sangria was decent. Fast forward. Three other couples came into the venue asking for the same sangria menu because they were all taken back by this "new" menu that was presented. No one was able to get the menu so they left. A Spanish couple comes in and I guess they're "regulars" and she gives them the menu because they threatened to walk out. So when I see them receive this I'm like absolutely not I'm going to say something. She mentions they're regulars and the manager said it was okay to give them that menu .... interesting. We're all customers you should treat everyone the same. She goes on and says she will give us 15% off the bill. Which she does. But also gives herself a $16.00 tip. You took off $12 to give yourself $16.00? It was two people. Since when does places charge 20% for two individuals for brunch. You're confused. Wasn't even about the money. It's about how you run a business. You don't go from $9 unlimited to $40. And the tip for 2 people in a party was ridiculous. I'll spread the word about this one. Until management handles this. read more

I go here fairly often. This chain has the best-tasting mojitos in NYC. And at $5 per drink during happy hour(3-7pm), they seriously can't be beat! The food is great as well. Every time I go here with friends, we have a good time and the hour flies by. The brunch specials are pretty decent as well. Hearty plates and unlimited mimosas for $8. Also, they have Groupon specials. Is there anything else to say? haha read more

Had to walk out after waiting 19mins to be exact and only because a table had just arrived and got their waiter before us knowing who our waiter was. We arrived as a family and it seem this place was NOT FAMILY oriented and meant for singles. Sad that they underestimate how much a family revenue can bring to them. Just came here after oral surgery n let me tell you! This place was amazing. The waitress-Jennifer was super sweet, kind, funny n just everything! I was going to get the chicken soup but she recommended the shrimp n let me tell u!!! It's the best soup I have EVER EVER EVER had. It's a must. I will be back again and again and again!!! COME TRY PEOPLE My daughter had the Havana's special sandwich n she says it's bomb! Couldn't even wait for me to take pic. Must come people. read more

I love this place! I go all the time with my family as they accommodate many dietary needs. My mum must have #gluten-free and I #vegetarian or #vegan. Their food is delicious and I especially love their #coffee, which I joke with one of the waitress that's SHE has to make my cup lol sooo good! Brunch is fun as they have option of #unlimited drinks and at times they have a DJ which place a nice variety of music, which you cant help but to dance. read more

Never had tried the white whine sangria until at this spot, and it was so much better than any other sangria I had in the past! The food was very delicious, sorted of nothing short, flavor was just perfect. The quesadilla de championes is a must have with their moro. My husband had the pollo al mojo, which he also enjoyed and my in laws had gotten the pallomilla, which they also enjoyed themselves. Monday night dates! Havana cafe on Castle Hill was the spot. After much reviews, I thought why not. We had the bacalaitos and camarones al ajilos. The shrimp wasn't deveined probably. I just can't stomach that. The bacalaitos were on the coldish side and I felt were too gummy. Again food was warmish not hot. My steak sandwich was ok. All the food felt like it has the same seasoning. The bread wasn't properly toasted, so it was difficult to hold sandwich without it falling apart. The pork tenderloin were disappointing. It was chewy and the sauce was really tomato based. I will not order it again. The house drinks were the best part of meal. I don't see all the hype about Havana cafe. I doubt I will ever come again. Went on a Friday night. Danny once again my server . Love him;) I had a shrimp mofo. The chicken on the appetizer section that was great. We ordered a pitcher of sangria with Hennessey $35. Also ordered a coconut mojito they were great. My partner got the ropa vija with white rice & black beans. Had a bite & it was very good. I am so happy that they made another Havana Cafe closer to my home. If you never tried this place and have Groupon look for there special. Its a must to buy 1 appetizer 2 entree and 2 glasses of Sangria for $39 dollars can't beat that. Service is always on point and if you do not like something they will take it off your bill True customer service. Ive almost had everything on the menu but these are my favorites. This is the 3rd time I have visited this establishment & as an avid baseball fan "3strikes you're out" . With each visit it has declined. Today was completely disappointing. 1st a true Cuban Restaurant puts warm toasted bread on the table(not here). When it came to placing our order we requested if we could have 2 of the 3 white rice & blk beans replaced with arroz Moro . The server said no problem, but that the maduros would not come with the order, we agreed. 2 orders of Camarones enchilados ,which were just ok & el pollo al ajo were 2 sorry looking chicken breasts. Worst part of the dinner was the "Arroz Moro" ,which was by NO MEANS Moro.(picture incl of served vs true cuban moro) it was a yellow rice with vegetables & about 4 Red beans. Also at no point did the server return & inquire how our meal was. Finally, upon our exit there is no lighting in the covered exit(picture incl). My drinks were very good but the food took forever during lunch time mind you with only a few ppl in the restaurant. Then the waitress tells us the food on the lunch menu is all fresh and that's why it takes so long. Then it finally arrives and my food is crazy cold. Because I waited so long I decided to eat it as is bc all they were gonna do was probably throw it in the microwave. I empathized with a woman who I noticed sat by herself, slightly annoyed to wait to place an order her great looking fish-she had to signal a server to come take her order--by this time there are still several empty tables. Overall, because the food was great, I will come back again.

I'm in The Bronx and I'm going to stop at Borgatti's Ravioli for our Sunday dinner. Walking into the store, it's very small. There are high glass partitions, no touching just pointing. I see the various pastas and ravioli but I want the big suckas. Small ravioli? C'Mon! I made the best red sauce that I will drown these raviolis in a sea of tomatoes. The small raviolis just can't swim in my pot! The older gentleman behind the counter asks if he can help me. I ask him to open the box and actually show me the larger ravioli. Oh baby, they are large and in charge. Why I walked out with one box still boggles my mind because I should have bought 3. I'm not in the area too often and the extra boxes would have carried me through the winter. I hand over my cash and the gentleman says God Bless to me. I'm not getting blessings on Long Island! When I came home, my wife made the perfect Sunday dinner. Those raviolis came straight from the 70s. Simply perfect. God Bless us, everyone.

We called a head since it was 6 of us to see if we could do a walk in or if we needed a reservation , and both options are available which is a plus. Dress attire is your choice we dressed regular nothing fancy just day to day hang out style. We were greeted kindly by the staff sat down handed a set of dominoes to play with while we waited for our food and drank some water. The place is decorated nicely and you can see the vision in mind definitely. We placed our orders and I'm not gonna lie I came in thinking the food was gonna be eh but I was blown away by the flavors. For drinks we ordered a spicy sunset, pretty young thing and cokes. The spicy sunset is a nice strong drink and is rimmed nicely with just the right amount is tajin as you drink it; it has a nice smoky after taste to it definitely was delicious. The pretty young thing was a nice citrusy drink with a little salty aftertaste, which balanced out the flavor nicely. The cokes were not water down they were good as well. For food we ordered the Cuban sandwich with parmesan fries, butter chicken wings, butter chicken macaroni and cheese, steak nachos grande, butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and mom's butter chicken platter. This was a wonderful Spanish and Indian style combination of flavors. Definitely my first time having this type of food and wow what a mind blowing experience. Not one person in the table complained or had anything negative to say about their food. We all tried each other's food and each bite we exchanged to try was delicious and better than the last . The Cuban was delicious but the parmesan fries stole the show from that meal it was paired so lovely who would've thought those flavors would've mixed nicely. The buttery chicken wings oh my God dripping with goodness each bite was legit finger licking good lol. The butter chicken macaroni very very delicious. Had a nice cheese pull and a good balance could not stop eating it. The steak nachos were delicious I wish It had a little more meat, but it was not bad. The butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries also delicious and the fries were cooked so nicely that it was crispy and soft at the same time per bite. The mom's butter chicken platter was delicious they gave the right amount of sauce, the pita bread was delicious and soft, the salad that it was paired with was good too the rice was decently portioned. Everything was definitely tasty. Not one complaint of any of the meals. We did not wait long for the food. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I want to come back to try more things in the menu that's how good the food was and our group agreed to also come back with us. This spot is definitely a place to try. They have a beautiful quote right near the bar that really spoke to us, especially during these times it said "you are exactly where you need to be." It makes you stop for a second and really take it in and just live in the moment ... especially living in New York, where you have to be always go go go fast fast fast. The appetizer I had was great though. The tostones were just the right amount of crops and the sauce on top of the sausage and potato bites was the right about of kick. Service was fast as it was not much people in the establishment when we went.

My experience with this vibrant eatery had its moments of delight, as well as a few bumps along the way. Let's start with the Quarter Chicken Combo, a tantalizing offering that comes with two sides and a beverage of your choice. The star of the sides was undoubtedly the Arroz moro. This delightful combination of rice and beans brought a burst of deliciousness to the plate, leaving me wanting more. The flavorful blend was a true highlight that deserves a standing ovation. Moving on to the plantains, Yica with Onions, and potato salad, these sides were a mixed bag of satisfaction. On certain occasions, the potato salad proved to be a tasty addition, showcasing its potential. However, the attention to detail and consistency seemed to fluctuate depending on the day and the chef in the kitchen. While special orders were occasionally fulfilled, it became apparent that it was a hit-or-miss situation. Let's talk about the empanadas. The Chicken empanadas and the spinach and cheese empanadas were a mixed bag of surprises. Sometimes they hit the mark, delivering a flavorful bite, while other times they missed, leaving me craving for that perfect balance of flavors. Unfortunately, the guava and cheese empanada didn't quite win me over, as it seemed to lack the desired balance I was hoping for. On the bright side, the arroz con pollo cubano stole the show. Packed with flavor and enough to satiate the appetites of 2 to 3 people, it quickly became my all-time favorite dish from Havana Cafe. I opted for Uber Eats every time, and while convenience was on my side, the Quarter Chicken Combo's value seemed to have diminished with time. What used to be a steal at $10 now offers less value at $15. It's a shame that the deal through Uber couldn't maintain its initial appeal. To wash down the meal, I tried the passion fruit juice, a delightful blend of sweet and tart that provided a refreshing accompaniment to the flavors on the plate. Don't forget to add a dash of hot sauce for an extra kick if you're a fan of heat. In conclusion, Havana Cafe offers a flavorful adventure with its ups and downs. I really do not like giving bad reviews, this place does not inform you of gratuity. Service is substandard and the food takes a really long time to come out. The Mangú was so dry it went down like sand. But the manager didn't remove it from the bill, she removed the cheapest item instead. A plate of pernil costs $20!!!!! SMDH Your best bet is to go a few doors down to Brisas Del Caribe and get excellent food and service for a fraction of the cost! I can assure the 18% gratuity was on ONE small hidden sign and not on the menu or explained by the hostess as it should've been. As well as Melissa P mentioned that different dishes were offered and that isn't true at all. Our waiter took so long to get to us in a 20 X 14 restaurant my 14yr old child had to pick on the plate until my food came in where I was able to share my dry and bland $20 pernil with him. We had just came out of church and were all starving. Anyways lesson learned and I advise anyone entertaining this place to learn from my mistakes. had a reservation, was seated immediately. atmosphere was awesome. lots of people but not over crowed. salsa was playing at a nice volume, not loud. Waiter was very good. got there for happy hour so the waiter loaded us with drinks. had the pastelon for appetizer. yum yum was awesome. had mango ribs with coconut rice. The coconut rice was so good, that I place an order to go as well. it was a bit small but comfy. I Cant wait to return. had a great time. read more
