This place is CUTE! I came here for a private event and left wanting to book my own lol. The food was absolutely delicious. From the beef empanadas to the grilled shrimp & rice, I would have eaten more if I didn't have an entree and dessert coming up afterwards. I ordered the halibut which was plantain crusted. OMG! The plantains gave an excellent amount of crunch without overpowering the flavor of the halibut, which was perfectly cooked. This dish came with rice and grilled corn. The corn was an excellent addition. So flavorful. The staff was so nice. Our waiter made sure we were well taken care of. Since this was a private event we were able to have the menu customized for the event. They even played a requested playlist to match the vibe of our event. That was pretty cool within itself. They have a very nice wine selection as well. I was able to sample their best red wine but opted for a glass of rose since it was noon. The artwork around the building accented the nature of the restaurant's Cuban culture. I'll definitely be coming back here and might even have my own private party here. I've been to Havana a couple of times and each time was excellent! There are several parking structures in the area and street parking. I prefer parking in a parking structure so I don't have to worry about time or having to go put more coins in the meter. The staff is always very sweet and attentive. They have outdoor and indoor sitting. During summer it was great sitting outside but we sat inside during winter. Drinks: I've been here with friends and every time we ordered a pitcher or two ;) . If you can all agree in one drink, getting a pitcher is actually more convenient and you get more drinks. Food: Everything here has been delicious! They change some of their menu dishes every season. During summer, we had: -Mussels: this dish blew my mind and I am not even a mussels kind of person to be honest. It was delicious and the sauce it was cooked in was amazing! -Scallops: buttery, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. They came with a truffle crema. -Yucca fries: must have. Just get them! You won't regret it. -Ropa Vieja Empanadas: my favorite! The meat is delicious and the empanadas are flaky, buttery and just right! -Beans and Rice side: both simple but great complement to the food! The beans are Cuban style beans. Lots of flavor! During winter we ordered some of the dishes we ordered last time including: yucca fries, scallops, ropa vieja empanada and beans and rice. We also tried this time the Grilled Shrimp which was excellent! Vegetarian Empanadas really good as well. Still preferred the Ropa Vieja ones but they were good to try, and dessert!!!! Our table ordered, Tres Leches (I'm going to go back and order that to go! So delicious! Flan and churros with chocolate. Both delicious! I love this place, great place to hang out with friends! Oh the food here is so good! I've been to Havana before but it must have been years ago. I finally made my way back and the food does not disappoint. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but they definitely get busy! They have tons of drink options but you've gotta try out their mojitos. I would personally see if you can ask for less ice but idk about that haha. Their empanadas here are so tasty. The pastry dough is crispy and flakey with the filling having so much flavor. The wings had a good crunch to it with the sticky and sweet sauce. Get the paella! You've gotta try it. We also had the grilled shrimp. We didn't realize it came with rice so getting that as well as the paella, we didn't really need it. But it was still really good. A nice alternate if you don't want all the seafood in the paella. Went on a Monday evening in December. Staff is was great and the ambiance was great too. Didn't get to take photos of our appetizers of the Ropa Vieja Empandas and the Yucca chips. But both were delicious and recommend trying. The Paella was ok. Coming from a family who cooks Paella, I have some bias with how I like my paella. The Puerco Cubano was good. This was my first time here and I look forwarding to bringing all my other friends here for bottomless brunch. They were quick on the refills and came by pretty often to check on us. Horrible experience on Father's Day this year. I ordered through DoorDash to pick up mind you more than two hours in advance for a pick up. When I arrive, I was told several times the order was not ready even though the app assured it would be 1.30 hours in advance, i kept being told "it was coming" 45 minutes past my arrival time for pick up I am finally walking out with my foodOUTRAGEOUS! I wouldn't recommend this place to get a coffee or a drink at this point, if they knew they were going to be behind pick up orders then just do what other restaurants do and turn off DoorDash for a few hours when they know you're gonna be busy in the restaurant and this issue would have been totally avoidable! Came to Havana on a Sunday for a birthday brunch with a reservation for 7 ladies at 11 AM. Our group was seated outside (shade provided) where there was a live DJ, which we loooved. We kindly asked for the possibility of being sat inside and the staff happily accommodated us for inside barstool seating :) THANK YOU! Our server was Angel - welcoming, approachable, attentive. Our food and drinks were consistently served to the correct person! We appreciated Angel's service and response to crack jokes with us. The atmosphere was perfect for girls day and Angel was honestly just exceptional lol. Drinks and food from the brunch menu exceeded expectations. I was previously vegetarian 4 years, and recently started eating seafood again ... sooooo you know ya girl got the dungeness crab Benedict, which I don't regret one bit. Yummm. I was definitely eyeing the delicious spread on our table, especially the grilled shrimp and plantain french toast (which they raved about). I had a few of those yucca fries and think about dipping them in that green sauce at least twice a week. My girls also did bottomless alcoholic bevs while I had a delish virgin blackberry sage mojito (designated driver here). The bottomless drinks were priced at $22 per person and auto grat was 20%. I always have a great meal every time I come here. The scallops are INCREDIBLE, buttery, fresh and the potato purée is a perfect pairing. It does get very busy, so a reservation is always a good idea, or you could be waiting quite a while. It's ridiculously beyond good. Service is always excellent. This is honestly in the top 3 restaurants in Walnut Cteek, it blows my mind it's not always constantly packed. Located right off Main Street, we made reservations thru Yelp for dinner Sat night (our first time here) and were seated In the back room near the window. There were so many tapas and entrees to choose from and all looked delicious - we decided on the following: - Ropa Vieja Empanadas w/Chipotle Aioli (3 pcs) - very tasty with flaky crust and melt in your mouth beef brisket and the aioli sauce was amazing! - Croquettes Ham & Manchego (5 pcs) - very creamy/cheesy but can still taste the bites of ham. - Arroz con Pollo (grilled chicken thighs); Arancini (rice ball); Black Beans - chicken was charred just right and still very juicy and the rice balls were unexpected but very good. - Ropa Vieja Braised Brisket w/Onions, Tomatoes & Peppers; Sofrito Rice; Cuban Black Beans; Plantain Maduros - good portion of tender, stewed meat accompanied by rice/beans. - Flat Iron Steak Chimichurri; Boniato Mash; Cuban Corn Saute - the meat was marinated with some kind of sweet sauce which combined with the cuban sweet potato was a little overpowering on the sweetness level but overall it was still a good dish. The food was incredibly delicious! Everyone had an empty plate at the end and went back for seconds. That tells you how good the food is. I wanted to make sure that this was a special birthday lunch. I would recommend that you make a reservation for your visit too. Seating outside was perfect for this day. It had been a long time since dining out at all. This location is great for dining outdoors. Service was exceptional. Our server was the best! We did not hold back on what we ordered. It was a birthday celebration and we wanted to try mostly apps. The Twice Fried Plantains are one of my favorites. I love plantains, my man not so much his fave, but plantains are one of those starches that I cant resist if they are made well. These are definitely made well. I think our number one favorite were Day Boat Scallops with Boniato Mash, Truffle-Cumin Crema. I don't know what Boniato mash is exactly but when you put it with Scallops its incredible. It was genius. The Grilled Shrimp were excellent. We also couldn't resist the Roasted PEI Mussels. I love a mussel in coconut broth. Cuban food is diverse and flavor packed. Havana embodies a fusion Cuban style incorporating Cuban flavors into non traditional items. The mojo chicken wings are a great example of a perfectly executed fusion dish. Classic American style wings with a Cuban style sauce that was really delicious and crispy. The empanadas were also crispy with juicy shredded chicken. By ordering a few different appetizers we were able to try different things and all of them were tasty!
