I would think this place would be busier, but on a Friday night, it was dead. Counter service style. I ordered the two meat and two side combo with the spicy garlic chicken and the teriyaki beef with macaroni salad and Hawaiian roll served with rice. The spicy garlic chicken tasted like an elevated sesame chicken at a Chinese restaurant. I wish there was a bit more garlic to it, but overall it was good with a nice crispy outside. The teriyaki beef was also good, esp with the teriyaki sauce. The bbq sauce they have there which seems homemade is soooooooo good! The macaroni salad could have used some salt and pepper. For $11, I had plenty of leftovers to enjoy. I'll be back for more to try some other things! Side note: they can be randomly closed sometimes--luckily we came when we did because they were expected to close the following week which I probably wouldn't have known about until trying to get in. read more

They were slathered with an unruly amount of jarred garlic and just didn't have the same flavor profile as those in Hawaii. The Mac salad was ono (good) and closer tasting to that from Hawai'i. Pork rinds were too tough and the pork belly appetizer was dry and overcooked. Service was great though and the ambiance was nice. Will have to go back and give some of the other dishes a try and update my review if other items taste more like L&L bbq or other places in Hawai'i. read more

The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is the macaroni salad. Service and food was good. You are greeted with an "aloha" when walking in. I got the BBQ Combo. The serving of meats was generous, and the meats were well seasoned so that sauce was not a necessity. Dining in, you are provided with Teriyaki, Spicy Teriyaki, and Spicy Mayo sauces. All of which were tasty. I would certainly consider eating here again on my next business trip. Back to the macaroni salad. It looked and tasted more like something out of a Tacky Midwest Recipe book. A gallon of Mayo mixed with a cup of macaroni noodles and a tablespoon or two of matchstick carrots (Yes, I exaggerate). IMO, they should consider changing the recipe, or scrapping it entirely. read more

We talked to the waitress about that and it actually was an accident, not because the flavor should be salty. Service is really good but kinda off a bit because when we asked about the cabbage, the waitress was so nice to ask if we would like something in replacement of the cabbage and we chose another side dish. It turned out that we're charged extra for the side dish, not to replace the salty cabbage. Anyways, if not for the salty cabbage, we would definitely recommend this place. read more

I ordered a cocktail but was a little disappointed when it came in a plastic cup. it was very sweet and I couldn't taste any alcohol even though I'm pretty sure it was there. We ordered an appetizer which never came. Our main course came on paper plates and a plastic fork. Our salad came in a pre-prepared container like you would get at McDonald's or Chick-fil-A and the dressing was in a packet. I guess this was a little disappointing considering it's not the pandemic anymore and would it have been so terrible to just serve a food on a regular plate, and have silverware.
