The Hawaiian BBQ was outstanding! I lived in Hawaii for six years and trust me, it tasted the same as the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken in Oahu! Excellent! The service was quick and pleasant. The Ambiance was stunning! My daughter Christy and I actually visited it when she came to visit us. Beautiful pictures adorned the walls, making us feel like we were back in Paradise. My daughter was three when we moved to the Mainland, so she doesn't remember much of it, but she throughly enjoyed her Hawaiian Barbecued Chicken! I've been going to this restaurant ever since they opened on Gordon Highway. That location has closed but the restaurant on Washington Road has been thriving since. I love the owners and staff here. They remember me every single time no matter how long it has been since my last visit. Food is always delicious and they have expanded the menu options as well. I have dined inside at the Gordon highway location but not this one yet but it's always a nice calm casual atmosphere. I will definitely be back and try the bar next time as well. The PORK. OK, we will get back to that. Have I made it known on Yelp that I think Augusta is a bit of a local food desert in the realm of what's open Sunday-Tues? It drives me crazy. Luckily for me, Hawaiian Style BBQ was open on a Sunday night! We placed a takeout order, and it was ready quickly as promised. My husband and I split the Hungry Hawaiian. You get the BBQ chicken, Beef short ribs and the Kalua Pork. The beef and chicken were fine, but THE PORK. If you have never had Hawaiian style pork, you don't know what you are missing. I've made it at home, and knew it would be good, but it blew my mind. I was kind of disappointed in the sides, and I get that they are supposed the be authentic. I need to look up if macaroni salad and potato salad are authentic.... So my husband ate the sides, we had potato salad, rice and rolls. So for me, next time I'm going to get a pound of the five star pork. read more

I was so hopeful. I really wanted to try this restaurant and I saw lots of people going inside to eat. I spent over 40 bucks for myself and my husband. He ordered garlic chicken with cabbage and potato salad and rolls. I ordered pulled pork and cabbage and potato salad. We also got an order of beef lumpia. This food is inedible. It's so salty that it's almost like licking up salt from a salt shaker. Everything was too salty! Why do restaurants feel the need to do this to food? It's so unhealthy. If you want large portions of heavily salted food, this is your place but it sure isn't mine. Huge expense waste of 40 bucks just now. I can't eat it. Edit** I did call and speak to someone who answered the phone about the pulled pork and how salty it was. She was very nice and said that they had another customer who ordered the same thing call and say his was too salty, too so they tasted it and agreed that it wasn't good. She said they pulled the pork and wouldn't be selling it anymore tonight. I asked her what we could do bc I threw mine away and she said the manager would call me and we could probably work something out. I explained I didn't want money for all of my order bc my husband ate his garlic chicken (honestly he will eat anything when he's hungry) and that I only wanted to get my money back for the pork. I then went back to add this and saw the business owner commented to my comment so he is not taking responsibility for this. I don't believe I will hear from anyone. I read all the reviews and I then noticed the poor health dept score they received which was a 75 out of 100 from August of 2023. That's a poor score and it really concerned me. Be careful what you put into your body, folks. You only get one body so you need to take care of it. Also, money is hard to come by these days so if this keeps happening, I doubt they will be in business too much longer. I really liked the other location every time we've been so we decided to give the new closer one a shot. It's clean, small, decorated nicely. We had a really nice server and the restaurant wasn't too crazy on a Saturday night. We opted for the 3 spam musubis for appetizer. Those are pretty good here. And they're $3 each or 3 for $8. We just took the last one to go. One of us got the BBQ plate ($19.99) and the other a spicy garlic chicken plate ($14.99). We tried rice, Mac salad, cucumber kimchi and cabbage kimchi for our sides. Every side tasted great, was very flavorful and I really enjoyed them. All of the beef and bbq chicken had a great flavor and the sauces were not overpowering. Only the spicy garlic chicken was a little overly sweet for me and there wasn't much spice to making it spicy. You get a good bit of food for your money here if that's a concern. My clients order beef short ribs along with chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki a month in advance for a very special occasion and it was not a good experience. Normally we don't have any issues for a dinner which is why I recommended Hawaiian style BBQ but catering was a HUGE disappointed. From the rude customer service to the miscommunication with the pick up time everything was frustrating, hard and burnt. Sadly I will not recommend for catering as my clients and their 100 guest left unfulfilled. Nothing was taken to go and it was a huge loss.
