I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant since my niece enrolled at AU in 2018, and it used to be our favorite place to visit when we were in the city. Since the move to the new building, the overall experience has declined significantly. The service has become inconsistent, the food quality has dropped, and staff interactions have grown noticeably rude.During my visit today, I spent over $100, received cold food and was told there would be an additional $2 charge for extra sauce. The prices are already high, and the customer service--particularly from one staff member--was unprofessional and dismissive. Unfortunately, the combination of poor service, declining food quality, and unfriendly staff has made this restaurant a far less enjoyable place than it once was. read more

Amazing food! We stopped here for lunch during a road trip after finding it on Yelp. We were impressed by the quality and portion size. The bowls are rice heavy so would recommend double portion so you have enough leftover meat! Bbq short rib, garlic chicken and Hawaiian bbq chicken were all tasty. The katsu chicken sandwich was giant and the kimchi cucumbers were very good! The server had good recommendations and we got our food quickly. The place is very nicely decorated making it feel Hawaiian with pineapples everywhere. They even serve canned Hawaiian juices! We wish this place was closer to home. Came again and I was happily surprised that they expanded their menu to include Filipino food as well as the chicharrones they give you at the beginning of the meal. The restaurant is small and quaint located near Kroger on Washington Toad. The wait staff was knowledgeable and patient. They answered all of my questions and offered advice when asked. We ordered meals that included entrees that were on average$20. They came with three sides. The serves a variety of Filipino food as well as Hawaiian barbecue style food. The variety was great, but the prices were a little high and when the food came out, it was delivered on a disposable plastic three compartment plate. Charging higher prices such as $20 really should come with a real plate. Not saying it has to be upscale but a little better than a disposable plastic plate. The flavors were good, but the temperature of the food was not overly hot. And some of the sides were very simplistic, like rolls or potato salad. Cook everything fresh, I don't know what happened between Gordon highway and the Washington road location but get it together. I am so glad I have found a traditional Hawaiian poke spot in Augusta! I have long wanted to try their food, and I have to say it does not disappoint. I got the poke bowl, and I was very pleased with both the flavors and quality of fish. I will say this is Hawaiian poke, so the flavors are different from most other poke places around here- but that just means it's a new and interesting way to try the dish! I also got dumplings, which were crispy and delicious. All in all a wonderful place with very friendly service, and they had plenty of seating, so my friend and I were able to enjoy catching up. Wow! Really Good! We tried the new location of Hawaiian Style BBQ and were impressed with our lunch. We were too late for breakfast which is served 6-10. They did let us look at the menu and it looked delicious. Our wonderful server Alyssa told us the old Gordon Highway is closed and the family is concentrating on a food truck and this place. This is a step up from the old location, in a old Pizza Hut, and they expanded the menu also have a full bar. It's not as large but decorated tasteful with lots of cute Hawaiian decor. Our lunch was plentiful and ever so tasty! The "mini" was big and more than enough. The macaroni salad as creamy as ever and the cucumber kimchi had a good bite and was crunchy fresh. Honestly, what could be better than Hawaiian style barbecue? I'll wait. But there is another answer. How about two locations at which to get those succulent short ribs or Katsu or Poke bowl. This new location is what I call a "sleepy spot." Cause folks are gonna sleep on it if they don't know where it is! Tucked away between the UPS and Kroger, you could drive up and down Washington fifty times and possibly not notice it. I stopped in a few days after their grand opening just to see if it was as palate pleasing as the original. And I am glad to say it is. They have a host located out front so the front door isn't swinging open all the time (and letting the Georgia heat in!). And once you enter it becomes a whole experience. All I needed was some sand between my toes to be fully immersed in Hawaii. The decor, music, and of course the menu will take you there immediately. It never failed when I come to this local place that reminds me of Hawaii! As a local boy, I appreciate the time they take to make each item. Chicken Katsu is a for sure go to at this spot. And who doesn't like rice?! on top of the Katsu sauce, I was given a spicy Mayo sauce for dipping and it was outstanding with the Katsu chicken. The service is outstanding. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. I ordered the spam Musabi and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the kalua Pork plate with macaroni salad and Kim chi cabbage and they are all great. The kalua Pork is full of flavor. I also ordered the BBQ plate, with Hawaiian BBQ chicken, beef short ribs and beef teriyaki. The teriyaki sauce is thick, not like most teriyaki sauces and packed full of flavor. I come here once every six months or so and usually eat the same thing. There's only one time I've come and didn't have a great experience and it was just because it was a saturday and very busy. Food always comes out quickly and the trick with their kimchi is to let it sit and it'll be spicer. read more

The outside is not impressive, and actually, we almost drove past the place, but the inside is lively and colorful and the music had me swaying from side to side my whole time there. Lol The food was great, and served in big portions. The Hungry Hawaiian dish was enough for 2 and was a great introduction to what this place offers.
