Beware of Hawx. They did not make it clear how the system works. You sign up and whether you use them or not, YOU PAY. I paid $357 to get rid of them. They came by only once. At the beginning, I said I use one one visit and I would call if I need their service again. I feel so stupid!!! I gave them a credit card for that visit, I thought. Ha! PROCEED WITH CAUTION. My wife and I signed with Hawx in March 2024. After one initial and one follow-up treatment, no one contacted us in June to schedule the next service. When I began calling in July, the problems escalated. Between August 1 and August 18, 2025, Hawx missed four scheduled appointments without notice (08/01, 08/05, 08/15, 08/18). Each time we rearranged our work schedules--often at personal cost--yet no technician arrived. Instead, Hawx later sent automated texts rescheduling us for unscheduled days with 12-hour time windows, without our approval. To secure one of their rare 4-hour windows, we had to call repeatedly. I spent over two hours on the phone with Texas branch account managers Alex and Maria, who provided conflicting explanations of the contract and refused to escalate my concerns beyond their level. Both insisted I could not cancel without a $199 fee, though the contract itself states that if Hawx fails to provide services, that fee does not apply. In my view, this clause was triggered by the repeated missed services. Only after lengthy discussion did Maria ultimately agree to waive the fee. I wish I could give zero stars! DO NOT USE HAWX PEST CONTROL!! I have had the most frustrating experience with Hawx Pest Control. I signed up with them to do a quarterly service with rodent add-on. They charged me monthly and since then I have not had one service technician come out since the initial visit. I would get random scheduled appointments and when I call them to say that we won't be home (with rodent prevention add/on someone has to be home to give access) and that only certain days would work. Finally got a scheduled day on Saturday and nobody bothered to show up. Never got a communication, no text no phone call, no nothing. So have been paying $70/month for five months with no service! And now they will charge me $199 cancellation fee. When I questioned it "it's done by a system and nobody in the company has the ability to waive that fee." So I get no refund for services no rendered, and charge me for a termination fee. A total of $549 for no service??? DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! read more

A Complete Disaster with Hawx Pest Control If I could give Hawx Pest Control negative stars, I would. Hiring them was a colossal mistake. Despite their claims of expertise, my pest problems worse than ever. Since starting their service, I've dealt with large piles of ants, I've also suddenly got mice, and instead of being eliminated the number of roaches seem to have increased. When I tried to cancel my service because of these issues, their response was infuriating claiming I hadn't complained enough and should give them another chance. Excuse me, but isn't it their job to ensure their treatments are effective every single time? Why should I have to chase them down to do the job I'm already paying them for? I spent more than 20 minutes repeatedly asking the account manager to cancel, only to have the them ignore my requests and try to convince me to let them "fix" it. They refused to take "no" for an answer, dragging the conversation on and on. Only after I threatened to cancel payments, removing my payment card myself on their site, and asking if I needed to involve a lawyer did they finally agree to cancel my account--but not without more arguing first. This company is unprofessional, ineffective, and infuriating to deal with. They don't care about results or customer satisfaction--just keeping you locked into their service. FRAUD!!! SCAMMERS!!! Sales person is not truthful or upfront, they will get you to do a initial service and after speaking with the billing department. Once the initial service has been conducted, that is your agreement per the contract and you will be locked in for 12 months. According to the billing department , there is no supervisor above them after speaking to two different agents. My name was digitally signed on a contract that I did not see or consent to signing. I was charged an initial fee and the $200 cancellation fee. I tried to resolve this with the billing department and they will do everything they can not do refund your money and will resort back to the "agreement " that I never signed. Signed up for this service late on a Monday July 29th with first service was following day (7/30), with second indoor service on the Friday (8/1). I took my 3 dogs to kennel to avoid issues and full range for indoor spraying. By 3:30pm on the Friday the 1st for the second service, no one came by to spray, no call, so no show. Tried reaching out, office was closed, no reply to text sent to tech, sent message to cancel this service if this is how they run their business, still no reply till the following Monday with an text reschedule update. No apologies, no call on no-show from Hawx. My cancel message should have been in the 3 days cancellation time frame but they still charged me $199.00 to cancel even though they failed to do their part of the service. Do not want to be stuck with a company that does not have the courtesy to call and reschedule if they cannot make it. I still had to pay the kennel to watch my dogs. (I found a small blurb in their contract stating you can cancel for any reason within 3 days, but must send a letter or telegram to UT. I am in TX so it was impossible to get a letter to them in time, and who telegrams?). Poor customer service from their office staff and main reason I ended service. Argued over the $199.00 cancel fee. So I am out $199.00 plus the $60.00 for the day kenneling. Suggest avoiding this company that does not follow up when they cancel or no-show on you. I was also informed it was my last month of contractual obligations. I agreed to one last service (which got cancelled day of) and then did happen one week later. I have no clue which location is sending out these horrible sales people, so I'm copying my review for their other Harris County location. As has been posted in other reviews, their sales team are young kids with no sales skills. One said, and I quote, that other pesticide companies "don't do shit" (his words) when I dared to point out there are other pesticide companies. Except Terminex is rated higher than yours. I was nice enough to their sales child that it was not the best time for us to talk to him as we had just gotten some bad news earlier in the day and he still wouldn't STFU. Make no doubt, they are being trained to not take no for an answer and badger you incessantly regardless of management (Jeff T's) responses you may see on Yelp. I had to shut the door in his face. They know that in our society we are trained to be polite and try to take advantage of it. Or maybe they went to the Steven Crowder school for sales where they just talk crap the entire time. Not leaving another person's private property is rude and I will be rude in return. Not respecting others telling you they are not in a great mood and badgering is rude and I will be rude to your sales in return. I encourage everyone to not be too polite and just shut your door if they keep talking. It is your private property they are on and they are not entitled to your time or property. Oh, and they love to point out how expensive they are and they are top 3 pesticide companies. Well if you aren't the best then why do I want to pay for such an expensive and rude company? He deliberately omitted the fact that cancelling the services would require a $250 fee per "contract". The service that is sometimes provided is completely subpar. There is still bugs. HAWX is getting a 1 star only because i have to give it one to write a review! They came to our door and were extremely persistant on us signing with them, they actually came twice that day. We asked a hundred questions and they answered what we wanted to hear. If you are an honest company you wouldn't have to lie to get customers. They were supposed to come quarterly, but they came when they felt like it. It sometimes took them anywhere from 4-5 months before they would come to the house. They don't email, text nor do they call, when they do, they just show up. One thing is for sure they don't forget to take that money out of your bank account every month!!! The Techs, (if that's what you want to call them) are extremely rude! For example...They had not come in about 4 months and they should have been here a month prior , as I stated before they would come to the house when they felt like it. A HAWX "tech" drove around the cul-de-sac and parked in front of our house, My partner started walking towards the truck to ask him if he was spraying our house that day since it had been 4 months since they had been here, The driver turned around and very rudely told my partner "that he was not here to spray our house, he was spraying our neighbors house", then he kept on shouting at her to the point where we felt threatened. We have been trying to cancel since that day in September, they told us if we canceled then we would have to pay $250.00 but if we waited to cancel in January we wouldn't have to pay. We called in January cancelled and we thought were done with them. come February all of a sudden a "tech" came to our house and we told him we had cancelled, and the next day we were being charged for the service they did not provide. We called to see why they charged us since we had cancelled and they said " they did not have a record of that. But if we wanted to cancel we would have to pay $250.00". I would not recommend this company not even to my worst enemy!!! The door to door sales people are trained to scam you, they will tell you what you want to hear. I would have placed ZERO stars if it let me! I am another victim of Hawk services they unknowingly deducted their so called recurring fee after the end of my contract. Even if they knew I was not interested in continuing my contract with them after my last service. They even told me I could not cancel my contract just yet until after my last service and told them understood but also mentioned that after that I no longer want services. And just remember there called are being recorded right. Ok so I called to inquire about the deduction spilled out my concerns and they still refuse to refund my money. The billing agent even hung up on me didn't even try to pass me over to a manager even when I asked to speak to one so I can dispute the issue, she told me she didn't appreciate me talking over her! HA! I didn't have to if she was listening to my issue so I guess she didn't like explanation she still went ahead and hung up on me ! What great customer service, NOT! So I called back ask to speak to a manager they seemed hesitant to state that it was a manager on the phone and directly asked me what they can do for me so I explained my issue and you wouldn't believe even going thru here she said she could not refund and her reasons saying that on their Record they have sent me an email regarding the recurring so I checked I did not receive any email from them she said it must have gone to spam check none and when i pulled all emails from them because I don't delete my emails and just that one particular one was not received, her explanation was I would have to look into why I didn't get it but it was Useless to do so because she was still REFUSING to do a REFUND!
