DO NOT USE HAWX. I signed a 12-month service agreement with Hawx, expecting it to end after the term expired. Nowhere in the onboarding process was I clearly informed that the contract would automatically roll into a month-to-month renewal. This critical clause was buried in fine print, and Hawx never sent a reminder or notice that service would continue or that I'd be billed again. Fast forward to after the contract ends -- I get slapped with a $43 surprise charge, and when I called to dispute it, I was told it was "in the contract." That's not transparency -- that's predatory fine print banking on customers forgetting to cancel. There was no courtesy notice, no renewal alert, and zero accountability for misleading communication. To make matters worse, when I initially pushed back, I was told they "don't send accounts to collections" -- only to later find out from other customers online that they absolutely do. For a company that deals with people's homes, this level of dishonesty and nickel-and-diming is unacceptable. I've never missed a payment in my life, and I'm now wasting my time over $43 because Hawx built a trapdoor into their contract. LEFT MY HOUSE INFESTED! And charged me $111 for it without fixing. Signed up with them because we moved into a new house and we're having ants. They said they would send someone out but I had to cancel the appointment due to an emergency. When I did they told me I would be contacted to reschedule. No one called. I called multiple times and left messages. No one called. It's been weeks, no contact. Meanwhile the ants went from a few to infesting every floor. There are flying ants now. They are establishing a colony in our house and our pest control service is no where to be found! I managed to cancel the contract with them. They charged me over $100 for their failure to service my contract what so ever. If you are their customer you litterally have to pay for their mistakes, gross negligence, and misconduct. They didn't even have the decency to to wave the fee as an apology for delivering absolutely zero service and leaving my house infested. Had they done so I probably would have just let it go and skipped writing a review but the absolute disrespect after they completely failed me was too much. I went down and bought the products I needed and was able to get rid of the infestation myself. I highly advise avoiding this company. read more

He took the time to explain the treatment process, answered all my questions thoroughly, and made sure I felt comfortable with everything before getting started. What really stood out was his attention to detail. He carefully inspected all the problem areas, treated both the interior and exterior thoroughly, and even pointed out a few spots I hadn't noticed that could attract pests in the future. This company engaged in a classic bait-and-switch tactic. After moving into a new neighborhood, a salesperson visited our street, offering an "amazing" deal with no terms and the ability to cancel anytime. My neighbors and I all signed up, with a quick phone registration and no actual documents provided. The first service visit went smoothly, and the initial charge was as agreed. However, about a month later, I noticed another charge on my credit card that was four times higher than agreed, without any explanation. When I contacted the company, they informed me that the initial charge was just a setup fee, and the higher amount was for the quarterly service. This meant my annual cost would be five times more than what was initially promised. When I decided to cancel, the company became difficult, imposing cancellation fees and making threats. I have had pest service and rodent/mice service for many years. I still have evidence of rats in my garage and attic. The infestation in the attic is so critical, old insulation has to be removed, the attic disinfected and sanitized, and new insulation blown in. This is after all entrance points are sealed up (Exclusion.) Their quote for all services was $11,295.80! But, bc I'm such a good customer, they would throw in some traps for "free". I have spoken to numerous "managers", requesting financial compensation for, at least, the $1,540 their rodent service has cost me for the 43 months they were "protecting" my home. Their best and final offer, after speaking with Wendy, Sohany and Karen in Salt Lake City, is: one free pest control service and a $10 reduction on future services. Wish I could give this company negative stars, I wouldn't want to bump up their ratings with a one star. I have been using Pest Frog as my pest control for many years. The service has always been amazing and i've never failed to be impressed. This week a salesmen from Hawx Pest Control came to my door not to speak about their own services but simply to talk poorly about the company I was already using. They lied to me about the services my provider "wasn't providing" when i've watched them do it. I am not one to leave reviews, but a company feeling the need to put others down to make themself rise is NEVER someone that should be hired and or trusted. Very disappointed in the way they are willing to tear down the name of the hardworking businesses around them. It's bad business to belittle others in any circumstance. read more

The techs at Hawx Pest Control are very dedicated and thorough. Frederick checked my termite stations and serviced the ones that needed attention. He was very informative in regards to our treatments and how termites colonize. There have been a few times I have had no call/no shows. Very frustrating when you reschedule your whole day and wait. Otherwise, the techs usually give me a courtesy call so I can get my dogs inside and unlock my gate. Most are super friendly and thoughtful. My only advise is to be very patient when calling the Call Center. The past three times I called I couldn't understand them because their accents were so foreign and thick, I had to have them repeat themselves, and the AI automated service asked me my information 3 times before I got through. read more

The service is Always good, it's just that the office that gives them the work order never gives them the correct information as they hat to do. And I make sure that they understand what needs to be done my main complaint is that I'm always at Drs appointments and I am not home on certain days so I call days in advance to make sure they we are on the same page. I gave already had conversations with the customer service, to the supervisor and 2 days ago finally to the General Manager. It really makes me upset when I make sure that I am thorough with them and somehow they seem to relay the correct information to the service technician. Ira came out and treated our home today. This is the first visit but based on the write-up and visit, everything looked good. We will be able to tell in the first quarter how this is all working. Ira did come up to the door and let us know he was going to start treatment, so we did appreciate letting us know. At the end, we would just like to know if there were recommendations he saw. Absolutely great service!! They came by and talked to my son. He knows the pest issues we have so he called me. I was convinced once I saw how much I was actually paying for my old service. This service cut it in half and provided the same service plus more. I look forward to seeing these guys handle my yard, house inside and out. The amount of time put into each visit is amazing. Brian did a great job! Looks like he did a thorough job. I have 2 small dogs. I had put them outside in the backyard. I quickly got them back in so Brian could take care of the backyard. Beware! I have never been more dissatisfied with a company than Hawx. They use scare tactics for sales and then manipulate and lie to keep billing you. I had to place 5 calls to the customer service line to finally get my account cancelled but was continually billed. All my refund requests were denied even though I was not provided the service. read more

Absolutely horrendous company. In two separate years they were in breach of contract, did not have quality service, did not treat the problem, and had ridiculous customer service. We have had difficulty with bed bugs for 2 months. Repeated treatments by both JohnHenry and Benjamin. They have been very diligent which is deeply appreciated.
