I like the breakfast. Large tasty omelets, fluffy pancakes with a made from scratch taste. And, for me, they have NHL Network on a tv here. Other places we've been pretend to go talk to their managers and hope we forget when we ask for a tv on the same football game as 20 other tvs are tuned to get switched to a hockey game. UPDATE: 4 Days later 12/8/2020 As of today, there have been no changes or "drop off" of the $71 additional charge. Neither the restaurant manager, Mario or the General Manager Christy has reached out to check on the status of the charge despite having my contact information. As you can read from the General Managers review response, they cannot explain why THEIR system made this charge. I guess since it is not "their" money, frustration or bank account, it is not important. Shame on you Haymaker, shame on your business ethics, integrity and customer service. Customers, please consider my review. If you are in this area, there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from that would love your business. read more

Not a great experience. Had to ask for more bacon in the BLTA, one slice for that sandwich was not enough. Ice cold sweet potato fries. Not just cold on top and warm below, cold all the way through. The rest of the food was enjoyed. Big mix up was at the end. The wrong bill was brought, then the wrong credit card was charged. Accidents happen, but we did not feel any concern for the situation. After these two incidents the manager never came over to talk to us. Which was the least that could have been done since we have to wait 2-3 days to get credited back the $40 that was incorrectly charged. Haymaker Breakfast Sandwich! 2 fluffy eggs, thick bacon, and ooy gooy cheddar cheese with a touch of Mayo! Have to say, one of the best bfast sandwiches I've tried! The mimosa flight wasn't my favorite, as it was more like juice with a splash of champagne (I prefer the other way around).. however, great service and definitely recommend! My husband and I are regulars at Haymaker in Goodyear. I usually get the omelets, which are really good - particularly with their salsa! Although, I do miss the chili and cheese omelet which has not been on the menu for a while. This time I decided to try the huevos rancheros. All I can say is "Wow". These are the absolute best I have had and I have eaten them at many, many restaurants. Just the right amount of spice, a generous portion and everything was prepared to perfection. This is now my favorite and am looking forward to returning to have it again very soon. My husband always gets the barbeque chicken salad - no adventure here - and he really enjoys it. He has dietary restrictions and they are happy accommodate all of his special requests. Great staff and great food - you cannot go wrong here! read more

I usually love haymaker but this was a nightmare experience I ordered the chicken steak which was cooked perfectly but I guess they didn't rinse the plate or my utensils and somehow had a good amount of bleach ( enough to cause my mouth and throat to burn and tingle and I only stopped mid bite lol when the smell of the food was over powered by bleach) ... when it was brought to the attention of the manager she only offered to cover our drinks ( a soda ) after further complaint and asking her to step closer to smell the plate she refunded one plate. We were traveling and staying in the area for the week. Stopped in for dinner. Seating area is set up nice with booths or bar top as options. Also some tables in the main area. Manager was talking to a lady at the bar all through our dinner. He literally never moved away from her. Waitress wasn't that attentive and made minimal effort. Went this morning for breakfast and had the best yes the best eggs Benedict I have ever had. Cooked perfect, looked perfect, was perfect. Service was excellent for our table of 12. I'm editing my review due to the managers extremely quick response. I'd say within an hour we received an apology and action had been taken to correct our issue. We will be going back to give them a try and will update with an even higher review that sounds like it should be warranted. Horrible service. Called ahead and was told there was no wait currently, still had the girl in the phone put us on the wait list since we had a table of 8. She said she would, they don't do reservations. The menu at this restaurant features all types of burgers, sandwiches, entrees, and even serves breakfast all day. I tried the Buckwheat pancakes, which I love, but they aren't always the easiest to find. While the flavor was good, they were a little dry. I also tried the scrambled eggs and potatoes. These were good. The atmosphere is casual and is similar to an Applebee's or a Chili's. read more

I love to come here! I just wish that they had some consistency. Sometimes you are greeted right away, other times you wait forever for someone to acknowledge you. The food is typically great, and I like that I can have an alcoholic beverage, regardless of the time of day, if I choose. Owner...please work on consistency! I would love to give 5 stars! I'm not sure what is good here but we tried the BLAT , Buffalo chicken sandwich and the pork sliders. Not impressed , food was really dry or extremely salty. The table we were sat at was never cleaned before us either. You look at the displays on wall by the booths - all full of hand prints. This restaurant needs some Major cleaning . Would rather not come here again.. It's been a while since we went to haymakers and let's just say I'll pass next time.. we walked in and they have a sign out of soda. We thought okay no biggy we will order cocktails. Sat there like 20 mins till someone came around to ask what we wanted to drink. The service was sooooo slow. She returned with just waters and the drinks took the amount of time that our food took.. the restaurant was not crowded and has maybe 4 tables with people.. the food was nothing special and just not worth the price. I'm not impressed and would rather go to a restaurant that serves people better. One to two bites in she is already leaving the check.. like thanks for scooting me out the door when the food was delivered. Did't even over another cocktail or anything else. I loved sitting on the patio out back for brunch. It was nice outside and there was no wait to sit outside. I was sad that they didn't have a cocktail menu as I like suggestions for drinks for brunch beyond bloody marys and mimosas. The ribs were excellent. Very tender and moist. The avocado toast only contained a tiny spread of avocado on it and didn't really have any other toppings on it. I don't think it even had the EVOO on it like the menu described. I loaded it up with salt and pepper and the egg that came on the side but there is so much room to do stuff with avocado toast so.... The side of fruit only contained green melon and grapes. It would have been great to have some other fruits in there, especially some berries. The service was good. I would probably go back again but probably not for brunch. read more

The WORST restaurant experience we've had. Ruined our Father's Day weekend. I would give ZERO stars if I could. Kaylee the server and Jessica the bartender gave awful rude customer service. Jessica told my MEXICAN husband she wouldn't serve him drinks because Kaylee told her he didn't eat anything. My husband wasn't drunk or even tipsy we were being polite ! we paid our bill and even left a tip. I don't understand why that would be their business whether he ate or not. When we tried to explain we spent 100 dollars in total including tip and shared a meal they didn't want to hear it. Don't go there if you're not white. Because the treatment isn't equal My husband was the only Mexican man in the restaurant and the people next to us drank the same and they said nothing to them. The food is definitely not worth the Slow racist customer service and high prices. We were looking for a place to eat Sunday morning and our first choice was actually Cracker Barrel but with a 40 minute wait, we decided to try out Haymaker instead. Glad we did because it was not busy at all. We were greeted and seated promptly and had our drink orders taken right away. After a few minutes of looking at the menu, we decided on the Griddle Breakfast with pancakes and the Country Fried Steak. Our waitress was friendly and not overbearing. She seemed knowledgeable about the menu and even recommended getting one of their omelettes the next time we came in. The food arrived and the portions were huge! It tasted great. Not sure why this spot always changes (from McGrath's to Caballeros) but hopefully Haymaker sticks around cause we'll probably come back again to try their lunch/dinner options! read more

After having the worst experience of my dining life at Romano's Macaroni Grill my family and I walked next door to The Haymaker Restaurant. We explained that we were in a litte of a rush to get my 4yr old grandson some food right away. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful as she took his order and got his food out right away. He received his food in a very timely manner and was very happy to be eating. The food was great. The waitress was very attentative and friendly. My family enjoyed themselves and we recommend this restaurant. DO NOT GO TO ROMANO'S MACARONI GRILL next door. You will be very disappointed. You have been warned. read more

My husband and I had stopped by at this restaurant for breakfast 2 years ago or so. We didn't feel very comfortable or welcome but brushed it off, but decided to stay away until today. So we check in at 10:15, wait 20 minutes to be seated, which is average wait. Waiter brings our coffee and takes our order. 3 refills later still no food.. it is one hour later, no food. We talk to the guy who served our coffee and he apologizes and says he's trying to get our order out.0 We finally decide to leave and go to the front to complain and pay. We came in for breakfast with our toddler and two dogs. The staff was incredibly accommodating and seated us outside at our request, turning the heater on and bringing our dogs water without being asked.
