The bartender was unbelievably rude and got me kicked out when I was served the wrong drink and questioned her and asked her nicely for the correct TWO cocktails and I was served ONE beer. I payed for two cocktails and was served a cheap beer. Whoever the brunette bartender is, is completely unwelcoming and rude. I manage a restaurant so I know what bad reviews can do but this was unacceptable in every way. I'm unimpressed in every way possible and actually disgusted with the way I was treated for asking for the correct order. It would be one thing if I insulted her for doing her job RIGHT, but she failed entirely to listen the first AND the second time I was trying to I get two drinks. I'm a good tipper but she received nothing due to her shitty ass attitude. I hope you look into your bartenders before getting them jobs because this was unbelievably Unprofessional and childish of her to act out the way she did. Love this place! Even the name is awesome :) which actually thats why i stopped there at the first place. Bartenders are always nice, drinks are not too expensive, which is hard to find in downtown area. If you dont want to go to crowded place, like ViewHouse, or LoDos you should come here atmosphere is really nice they have beer pongs, and bartenders that are actually smiling to you when they take an order. read more

We waited over 20 minutes before we sought out a server. We've asked multiple people and they just say "you're is server is coming" but no one. Finally this girl came that was sweet and I almost asked for a triple because it had been over 45 minutes since I got a drink. Asked for a well done burger and got it raw, chicken club was missing bacon. Brought us bacon that was congealed in old grease. All food was cold and disgusting. Your experience depends on what you're looking for. As well as what time of day and day of the week. The place is extremely packed with loud music at night and weekends are insane. During midday hours on weekdays it's nice and mellow which is what I personally prefer. The Colorado beer and spirits selection on the roof is excellent. I understand this is a bar but they do have a full menu and the service was terrible. It was about 4:30 and a Rockies night but not busy at all when we got there. I will never go back. Things I hated: Table was not wiped down when we arrived and the table was empty for a bit before we got there. When we asked, waiter came and gave me the towel. I wiped it down. The table by the bathroom, I smelled piss the entire time I was there. The bathrooms were not well cleaned. The waiter took a long time to take our order. We ordered an appetizer and it came out with our food. We ordered Beef tacos and it came out as chicken tacos. The fries with my food were cold. Definitely have some mixed reviews on Hayter's. Good: Their rooftop bar is awesome and we really enjoyed being there in the daytime. The bartender was always attentive, and we appreciated their wide selection of craft beer & that they don't require a $10 minimum during the day. Mediocre: the night time vibe. It was alright, but just not as fun as other places and the audience definitely changes a bit. Bad: their food. I don't even know where to begin here. We had a few people who ordered items and they were collectively pretty terrible. One of our group members, a strict vegetarian, ordered the mac n cheese entirely plan and it came with bacon and chicken in it. When she told the waiter this, he was extremely unapologetic and essentially blamed her for not being more specific (you can add bacon and chicken as upcharges, so why on earth would she need to specify?) We thought we might still take it because it looked decent and we didn't want to be a pain, but it was literally cold (not even warm) and the noodles needed at least a few more minutes of cook time (I'm all for al dente, but this was straight up undercooked.) When we told the waiter this, he responded with "well, I didn't make it." Okay....awesome customer service! The fries were brown for some reason, the chicken wings were bone dry, and add the crappy service on top of it and it was a pretty lackluster experience. So all in all, would highly recommend for beautiful weather roof top day drinking, but that's about it. read more

Hayter's and Co is the way to GO! For the LODO area, this place is where it's at. Great staff, great food, and of course great drinks!! My personal favorite burger is the Blake Street Bomber, but if you want munchies, get the chicken nachos, with jalapenos. Life changing! Although there are beer pong tables everywhere which may give off the impression that it's a college bar, the crowd of people in there is always a blast. The owners are mass cool, down to earth. And so are the bartenders. Go Jake & Janelle! =) Absolutely great place! Show em some LOVE! read more

I've been to Hayter's 3 times; 2 of them were on St. Paddy's Day (crazy crowded) and the night before (not so much). 2 out of 3 times, something unusual or quirky has happened there. 1st visit, a drunken CU-Boulder girl (yes, I'm not stereotyping; she supplied a name and # and I looked her up the next day; and yes, she was *pret-ty drunk*) found me adorable and started wrapping herself around me and making out with me. Uhhhhhhh...ok....sure, why not. :) Until her scowling icy friends dragged her off 15 minutes later. [It's ok honey-- we have YouTube footage of it all, you can't deny it happened. :D ] (It probably didn't help that someone wrapped a scarf around my head like a turban beforehand...). 2nd time, a cool mid-30s lady invited my drinking friend and I over to a table where her boyfriend and another couple were at, and we proceeded to eat quite a bit of their food, drink some of their booze (with their blessing), and play crazy giant Jenga with them (2 or 3 tables of this) - crazy because of the suggestions written on the blocks. Again...oooooooook.... sure, why not. :) 3rd time was St Paddy's Day, and the wildest thing that happened wasn't much -- our female companion that night was proudly boasting how she'd laid the top brick on a very unstable giant Jenga tower...I turned 60 degrees, saw it tilting in back of me, and had time to turn back, flinch, and throw my hand up to block the falling tower bricks. Didn't hit me...she, on the other hand, completely not seeing it falling, got the full World Trade Center effect all on top of her head. Yipes. O_O Bad karma. They have a very fruity concoction here called Hayterade which tastes like pink lemonade but has booze in it. Tasty enough. The bartender, when he recalled me from what happened on visit #1 (see, there really was some purpose in me blathering about all that!) started nagging me and saying "Where's the review, where's the review?"...and I told him it was coming -- aaaaaand here it is now, 1 month later. See how well nagging works? Not very, on me. The waitress working with him on my 2nd visit saw the YouTube footage my friend showed her, and thought it was hilarious how obviously wasted the CU girl was. [And it was. But I'm not putting a link here. :) ] Service is very good here if it's not St. Paddy's Day; if it is, you'll have to squirm your way between braying college age kids in loud green t-shirts and young ladies squeezed into their tightest dresses with vacant looks on their faces (hey, I'm just callin' it like it was) to patiently wait at the bar 10 mins for your bartender's attention. (And you get to introduce various people not in-the-know to the Yelp Mobile app -- and the free Hayterade check-in offer!) If it's NOT a drinking holiday, you'll be served promptly and courteously. The food here tastes better than standard bar fare food; the bar itself is a better place to watch sporting events than the abysmal Sports Column next door. Aaaaaaaaand, as mentioned before, they have giant Jenga -- a few with blocks hollowed into troughs, the better to pour libations down into your date's drunken mouth; the rest with zany, unearthly, and sometimes impossible suggestions written on them in pen or marker. I wonder if they ever get sanded down so people can write new suggestions on there... Either way, a fun place...and a place where unexpected stuff can happen, to be sure....I don't hate Hayter's. :) read more

I came here a few weekends ago for a friend's birthday party. It was pretty fun and fairly well priced. They have tons of games like beer pong and giant jenga. The beer pong area gets pretty crowded and you have a good chance of loosing the balls, so don't swat them away too hard! I had multiple Forms of ID but wouldnt accept it because my license was a vertical ID. This bar! So I came here when my cousin was in town. We were bar hopping downtown and ended our night at Hayter's. I'm pretty sure I was the oldest person there, not that I have problem with it, just thought it was funny. It reminded me a lot of the bars I went to when I first turned 21. They have beer pong, see ball, some other games, and a dance floor. I thought their signature drink "Hayterade" was delicious and went down way too easy. I moved to Denver about six months ago, and have been to Hayters three times. Each time it has been an exceptional experience with great food and a fun atmosphere. My wife and I have tried three (very) different kinds of food there from the normal menu: the schilling mac n cheese, the fish tacos, and the hangover burger. All three have been nothing short of amazing. On the appetizer menu, the "big ass" nachos and the sweet potato tots are simply phenomenal, and while the chips and salsa and onion rings are nothing too exceptional, they are good enough. And, as good as the food is, the atmosphere is even better. When I watch the OSU Buckeyes, I'm either at home, at another displaced Buckeye's house, or I'm at Hayters. read more
