Tried the Pasadena location this time for the 90 min session. Once again, Sayuri was amazing as it was super hard not to doze off. Additionally, I had no idea it came with a quick foot massage too (which was also great even though I was ticklish). Just wanted to add that I also normally don't get my hair blow dried because it usually feels uncomfortable when someone aims it near my scalp but Sayuri made sure to angle the dryer so that it wouldn't scald me. This review is for sweet Kana! Brought my grandmother in for a head massage as a birthday gift and she walked out absolutely loving it. Kana was the person I chose to do her massage and she was the absolute sweetest. So kind and welcoming. She treated both my grandmother and I so well I decided to come back a couple of weeks later to have my own head massage. Let me tell you, it felt AMAZING. Kana was so gentle with her hands, she massaged me, and even brushed my hair afterwards. When we finished, she gave both me and my grandmother some water and a treat. We also got a punch card that we can get stamped every time we go for a massage. Kana needs a raise for her spectacular customer service and kindness. read more

I fell asleep during the head massage. It was so relaxing! The scalp treatment included seeing your scalp with a camera (eek!), a shampoo and steam with a shower cap type cover and then a zapper device that kills bacteria I think. It's a bit expensive but a nice periodic treat. I paid in advance when I booked and brought cash for the tip. Tips can also be paid on Venmo. Street parking on Pasadena Ave was doable. read more

I have tried to reach out to the business multiple times as I didn't want to write this review. A few weeks ago I booked a head spa treatment for both me and my Mother in Law as a Mother's day gift. I did my research and chose Head Spa EN and was really excited. A few hours before our appointment my MIL let me know that she had a medical emergency and was in a ton of pain and barely able to move. I knew of Head Spa EN's strict cancelation policy- no cancellations in 12 hours, or you're charged the full price - and I definitely would not have canceled if it wasn't an emergency completely out of our control. They refused to refund us or offer any concession so I still drove out an hour and did my treatment. At the salon there was no one who could help with the charge for my MIL and I was told I would be emailed. I never received an email or call. I have tried reaching out multiple times. I completely understand the need for a cancellation policy but with an emergency I would hope for some concession as charging for the full treatment is just awful customer service. Instead of gaining two repeat customers you've lost them. :( read more

I watch lots of ASMR videos of head spa services in Korea and Japan, so I was excited to see one in Pasadena. I did the 60-minute headspa with Sayuri. Pros: - Sayuri is great; courteous, calm, and friendly - Head spa was so relaxing! I loved the very firm massage. It was also cool to see my scalp with a mini microscope. I was surprised to find my scalp was pretty healthy. - Location is convenient downtown - Parking is pretty easy - Scheduling was also easy--she fit me in within 1 day Cons: - The head spa is located inside a hair salon, so the ambience is not totally controlled. I could hear the somewhat boisterous interactions of other patrons during my service, which detracted a bit. - I left with wet hair. This is on me for not knowing that drying/styling is not included in all services, but I had seen another review that mentioned drying was included and made an assumption. So double-check if you're looking to leave with dry hair. - Price was expensive for where I come from, but perhaps it's competitive for other locations in southern California. Overall, I would recommend this service and would consider coming back if only for an occasional splurge. read more

I saw an IG post about head massages recently so I looked up if there was somewhere nearby that offered it. I found this place and am so happy I did. I had Riko, she was amazing! I was on the verge of falling asleep multiple times but didn't want to scare her with my snoring. What an awesome and relaxing treatment. Highly recommend Head Spa En. This was like a facial for my head! Amazing, relaxing, rejuvenating. I had Ken who was nothing short of AMAZING. Definitely ask for him. Was super sweet and gentle and went above and beyond. I love this place. I love the new space. I love Riko. I first discovered Head Spa En last year when they were at the location on Colorado. The owner was incredible and provided me with an experience which was very much needed for my mental health and stress levels at the time. I am grateful to her. Fast forward to 2023 and they are now in a great location with convenient parking, a larger space and zen experience. Riko was so sweet and attentive. She did a fantastic job. She's tiny but mighty and the pressure was on point. I was very sad when the session ended. My friend and I had appointments at the Pasadena location with Tomoko and we absolutely loved this experience. Definitely go with the 60 minutes (you really won't regret it) and we both fell asleep! I'm not one to usually fall asleep during these types of appointments but was so relaxed and loved the head and neck massage. My scalp and hair felt and looked so nice afterwards! Tomoko has magic hands. Parking was free and convenient and I was sent a photo and video so I knew what to look out for. That was very helpful! Went during the work week so parking was plentiful. The only thing is that you will need a token or assistance to exit so make sure you let them know before you leave. Didn't realize I had a bit of a dry scalp so I've adjusted my daily routine to see if I can resolve this issue. I've been telling everyone about it and would definitely recommend this experience. If I lived in LA, I would definitely go regularly but you bet I'll go whenever I visit or when Sayuri comes to Hawaii! read more
