Glad I read the reviews before we visited! Parking is usually an issue for me. Parking at Pleasant Hill BART Station is free after 3:00pm. This worked out great for our Friday evening visit. The one block walk is a little dark and there isn't much else along the path, so be cautious if choosing to park here alone. The atmosphere was lively as soon as we entered. Not too loud. A host seated us at a shared picnic table which worked out great. Ordering off the QR code on the table also always nice. We were each able to order separately on our own tabs. Menu has a lot of variety for a brewery. My friend ordered a cocktail and I had a cider which we both enjoyed. There are also a number of food options. My friends really enjoyed their smash burgers. I was afraid of the parking situation, but it turns out there's a parking garage close by. After 3:00, you can also park for free at Bart, just one block away. I checked with the friendly bartender, and she explained that you can get validation for 90 minutes from the nearby parking garage. You order at the front counter, which shows a wide selection of beers of all varieties. Today, I elected a Czech style pilsner for $8. Not too heavy, and just right for a cool winter afternoon. If you want, you can order at your table. Lots of friendly servers to assist. The children have a play area on the lower level, and there is an adults only area on a slightly elevated area. They went above and beyond to make my husband's birthday party a success. Will there handled all of the details and planning leading up to the event, and then for the Day Of, Adam and his team did a wonderful job accommodating basically every single request I had. They were super attentive, professional and helped pull off a really fun night for all our guests. They even allowed us to bring in outside entertainment (a bellydancer) for the birthday boy and it was a huge hit. We had the Taco Bar, and everyone said the food was great. Also helped with the cake and photos, and the servers somehow remembered the names of the guests to hand deliver each of their drinks throughout the night. This is a really cool new spot. Perfect for hanging out with friends or family, and it is also pup and kid friendly!! It is all out door seating, but they do have a covered patio and some TVs to watch games, etc. They offer a variety of different beers and also some cocktails and non alcoholic options! They also offer tons of different types of food, and there's something for anyone. This is a first come first serve seating situation, we came on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. We hung out and waited for some people to leave for about 30 minutes before we got a table. The parking situation is also a little tricky. I've been to Headlands many times since this location has opened. I have always had a great experience until tonight. I was with a group of friends and I am currently 8 months pregnant. Headlands has a large menu of non alcoholic beverages, so I ordered a frozen hot chocolate for a little sweet treat. I took a big sip when I received my drink and it tasted bitter, I let my husband try it and he agreed that it was bitter. The waiter ended up telling us he somehow accidentally gave us an espresso martini instead! I was distraught. I have not had a sip of alcohol in almost a year at this point. I am very visibly pregnant, how could this have happened? They claim to be super family friendly here, but what if a child ordered that frozen hot chocolate and got an espresso martini instead? Fast forward, they opened their Walnut Creek location - which is even closer to us! We were so excited. They lived up to our expectations and more. I like their QR code system and the food comes out with a quickness. I had some beer and their classic smash burger with bacon and I have to say this, and I know I'll catch flack for it. But I think the smash burger might be better without the bacon! Great burger regardless. Very cool spot. Only drawback is there are no indoor seats, which seems odd to me being that it gets cold during the winter time. In terms of food, I'm all for the pretzel with beer cheese or the smash burger. In terms of vibes, this is the perfect post work or weekend hangout. The brewery was very busy on a Saturday, but I was still able to find a seat. I went for the Cheeseburger and Ted had a dog burger. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to have a beer this time because I was driving so I went for the soda. But I have had their beer here before and as a picky beer drinker I would say it's great. Their food menu includes salads, burgers, sandwiches and even a few kid menu items. My kids aren't usually fans of going to beer gardens but the food options here were enough to keep them quiet for a good hour LOL. We loved the ambiance and vibes. They had basketball games playing on both tv screens and had some background music playing in the back. I can see this place being a prime spot in the summer. He did this for both of us. Again, it felt like they'd rather us do the work. Second round of beer, dropped off the beer. Just a 'what did you order?' It was a bit chilly but the heaters did a great job of warming us up. The tables are large and can probably accommodate 10 people. There were 6 of us so there was plenty of room. You scan QR code to view the menu and you can also order on your phone. We chose to order from our waitress who was super nice and helpful with the menu. I had a lager which was light and easy to drink. My wife had the hefeweizen which was also good although the sweet notes were a bit strong for my taste. The smash burgers and fries were perfect. Better than I expected to hang out here with the kids! We passed by before and I thought it looked small and I'd feel trapped with the fence, but this was not the case at all upon visiting!
