Beer and appetizers: Biergarten Pretzel and Fries
    Lily S.

If you're looking for a brewery that's also a beer garden, this is perfect spot. They are located in a business area in Walnut Creek, so we didn't see much street parking. However, there is a parking garage, where you can get 1 hr validated parking. Otherwise, it $1.25/30-minutes. They have a spacious outdoor seating area with a cozy fire pit. There's a kiddie play area with chalk and toys, and there's also a 21+ only seating area. Not gonna lie, those toys have seen better days but the kiddos enjoyed playing there. We got there about 15 minutes before opening on a Saturday, and they were nice enough to let us sit in the beer garden. I'm not a beer drinker, but everyone in our party enjoyed the beers. They have a wide variety of beers, and they have wines and cocktails as well. The food menu is pretty limited: it's burgers, a couple sandwiches, and salads. The smash burger was a hit, but they weren't very big. I had the chicken sandwich, which was slathered in mayo, but was quite good. They have 2 appetizers: Pretzel and fries. The pretzels were soft and served with either mustard or cheese. They host watch parties during the World Cup, and we were there 3 hours before the game, and the place filled up quickly as the game approached. There are large TV screens in the patio. This is a nice option to hang out, enjoy a game, and let the kiddos play.

Willing to give it another try. Food: 4/5. Overall, the food is good, but nothing amazing. The burger was great! The beer was ok and got there halfway through our meal, which was disappointing. The seasoning for the fries was super bland to me. The pretzel was pretty good too. Service: 3/5. The person when we entered was super friendly. The rest of the service was just super slow and seemed disorganized. You order through QR code at your table. Our drinks got delivered about halfway through our meal, which was disappointing since we were mostly there for the beer. Atmosphere: 3.5/5. The actual brewery can be a fun spot, however I felt seating was uncomfortable and tables were small for our beverages and food. We liked the play area for the kids since we had our kids with us, but wish there were more toys that were updated and not broken. Parking is a bit of a hassle. The place was packed at 4pm on a weekday. Kid friendly: 4/5. It is a brewery... so I wasn't expecting it to be so kid friendly, but it really caters to parents wanting to go out with their kids. The kids area is perfect to keep kids somewhat contained and away from adults that do not want kids to interrupt them. Most of the toys are really rugged and somewhat broken, but appreciate that it is there. This was our first time, so now that we know what to expect I would love to give this place another shot!

Chill place to have a beer and watch a game outdoors on their large screen tvs. There is relatively little seating space inside so if the weather isn't great, then this is not the place to hang. Food here isn't bad - the beer pretzel is decent and their smashburgers are good enough. One gripe: the parking validation in the adjacent garage is for an hour only - if you go over that, it's going to be $3+. Weird that they only expect you to be here for less than an hour.

Pretty cool spot. The outdoor seating is great! There was live music that made the vibes here even better! Service is solid! Definitely recommend this. Family friendly w some nice light beers!

Went for the puzzle exchange on Sunday and stayed for lunch. Chicken sandwich and spinach salad were both tasty. Beer was cold and refreshing. Live band was very entertaining. The outdoor seating was beautiful. Plenty of shade. Service was prompt and friendly. Will go again next month!!

First time going with a larger group and the servers were exceptionally kind and friendly and helpful. The food was also delivered quickly and was delicious. The smash burger with the sauce on the side was very tasty and the drink was very smooth, light and refreshing. Also we were in 100 degree weather but with their umbrellas it was actually pleasant to be outside. Overall the service is what made our experience great and we will be going back

Fantastic open air bar with great food, best enjoyed with company! The service is QR code at the table, and the servers run out the items when they're prepared. No fuss, just straight business. Staff is super friendly, very knowledgeable about Soul Calibur The Smash burger is great. I'd devour 4 if I had the chance! The pretzel also is a winner, comes with mustard and cheese sauces. Michelada was very refreshing! They have a mini play area for littles, which kept mine busy while I enjoyed my time with my friends! Overall a very chill spot to come hang out and watch the games!

    My Irish stout and snacks.

Solid place for an after work drink and small bites. I joined colleagues this evening on their outdoor patio. Most of them were well into their second and third drinks, but I needed to stick to one as I was driving home. So I chose carefully, and settled on their Irish Stout, which was just the right amount of bitter, and creamy and smooth, though not as good as my favorite - Guinness. For snacks, I enjoyed tortilla chips with spicy red salsa, hummus and meatballs. Happy to return next time my work folks get together.

Service and vibes here are always great. The server did stop by as soon as he saw us sit said he would be with us shortly as they were busy. To me this goes a long way taking the time to check in and letting us know it's going to be a few is so nice in my opinion. I got a spritzed which was ok. The pretzel is delicious and the fries were crispy and good. I love how we can always get a fire pit when we visit. The staff here has been consistently great every time we have visited. One of our new go to places!

Nice venue with patio seating and stage for the band! Ordered with QR menu; Smashburger, seasoned fries and salad. The burger was good, just needs more sauce cuz da sawce is da boss! (Get the double if your hangry) The fries were a bit salty as they were over seasoned, a little goes a looong way with that powder. The salad was great! Good mix of beers with something for everyone. Overall a great spot to hang out for some beers n grub. We also had the tri-tip Sando which was good, but it got eaten before the photo shoot...

Went to a happy hour with work friends to Headlands Brewing. They have plenty of outdoor seating with partial shade from umbrellas. I think it would be a great place for larger events if the weather was cooperating. Waitstaff is very friendly. We mainly ordered online by scanning their menu QR code. I really liked that they offered smaller pours so I could make my own flight and try a few different beers. Can't comment too much on food since we didn't get much. Got an order of fries and they were fried really well - crispy exterior, fluffy interior. The soft pretzel was also very good.

    Morgan P.

Impressively good food! I got the pretzel and the deluxe smash burger with seasoned fries and 10/10 would order all 3 again! That was literally the best soft pretzel I've had. Beers were good and I enjoyed the mini options. Ambiance is a 10 and will def be back!

    Top patio. Perfect brewery setup

We had been wanting to come here for months, but avoided going becuase we thought it was located in Downtown Walnut Creek (Downtown is a disaster on weekends and parking is a joke). It's NOT located Downtown and there is a parking garage located directly behind the brewery (you have to download an app and enter your personal info, which I really dont like doing) BUT the brewery validates your first hour). Got to the brewery about 20 mins after they opened on a Saturday and to our surprise it was almost empty. This is the best outdoor brewery setup I have seen in the Eastbay. Phenomenal 2 level patio with gigantic fire pits and as dog friendly as you will ever see. Huge screen tv showing football and numerous smaller tvs everywhere. Beer was good (beer menu pretty small), they have sparking wine / champagne and other alcohol drinks. Got the chicken sandwich, fries, and carnitas tacos. Food was surprisingly not overpriced, which is awesome. Loved this place and definitely will come back. Sidenote, while it was empty when we showed up around 1150-noon, they were probably 80% capacity at around 130, so this place gets packed quick.

Blue neon arches, a huge underwater mural, plush chairs and low tables along the back wall. Worth the detour. Chris was working the bar on his second day and greeted us like a regular. I skipped my usual Manhattan and went with the Smoke Break, bourbon with bitters, smoke and black cherry. He nailed it. That is the one I would order again. Kudos to Chris for making the smoke linger and make the drink taste fantastic. I had this one in Oregon and it was cool but Chris did a better job with his method that really did serious justice to the name. My wife wanted the Cucumber Cooler, but they were out of cucumber. She pivoted to Sauvignon Blanc, and they were out of that too. The wine list runs four whites and four reds, so there is not much room to maneuver if the cocktails are not your thing. Chris read the situation, offered up a Paper Airplane since she wanted something refreshing, and put it on the house. Classic good bartending. It was louder than expected for how few people were in the room. On a Saturday with a DJ, music and dancing, I would guess the volume gets close to a rave. Go Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to hear the person across from you, and you will probably catch them fully stocked. My guess is weekends clean them out. Cocktails run 16 to 18 dollars. There is also a 300 dollar tequila and cognac number called La Maria served in a glass rimmed with gold dust, if you have something to celebrate. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 5. They are on the ground floor of the Waymark apartments at 121 Pringle Ave with a small patio out front and heaters. Great spot to hang out and talk with friends, and a good pre dinner or post dinner stop rather than a destination for the whole night. When those doors shut you are transported somewhere neat. I would go again.

One look at the shelves tells you they have the base for any drink you want. We split the Margherita flatbread, pesto, fresh mozzarella, and blistered cherry tomatoes, and it hit the spot as a drinking snack. The menu goes deeper than expected for a bar, with sliders, naan tacos, and charcuterie if you show up hungry. Service was good considering the staff-to-crowd ratio. Sevan stayed attentive the whole time and clearly knows his stuff. The vibe is chill and conversation-friendly, not too loud for the size of the room, with a bank of TVs toward the back if you want to catch a game. Logistics are easy. The bar sits a short walk from Pleasant Hill BART and parking in the area was no trouble. I've been a few times before and this visit confirmed why I keep coming back.
