Everything was laid out beautifully, and the staff specifically coordinated and directed everyone very expertly and intentionally to help us feel like we were part of the process and also honoring the deceased according to tradition. No AV hiccups and the ceremony was decorated very tastefully. When it came to transitioning to the burial site the staff was very discrete and efficient. They really are able to balance the efficiency aspect as well as the professional and attention to detail and the venue is very nice. Highly recommend.

We sat in a meeting with John Wong, arrangement counselor, and he reviewed with us and our agent what was had purchased at that time. They answered all our questions. Lucky for us that the changes we made, we did not have to pay extra for. We appreciated that both the agent and John spoke in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese so my family and I were able to understand what was asked of them and what needed to be prepared. Saturdays are extra $$ if funeral would be held that day but weekdays are no additional charge. They let us know where we could ask the guests to deliver the flowers and where to meet. They provided us with a map on where to meet for the viewing and where we go to have him buried. We had to come back several times because there were several clothing articles we needed to drop off to be put in the casket. During the day of the funeral, we were surprised to see our agent there and our agent and the helpful staff guided us through the funeral process for our grandfather. They provided the fruits and the bowls we needed for prayers, and the standing flower sprays that were ordered with the guests and family were arranged in the room for us. The staff were patient with us while we were all grieving. They gave us several small burning bins so we can burn money for our grandfather. I see other funerals there and the signs are posted on which room is for which loved one. I highly recommend Rose Hills if you want to bury your loved one here. The only thing I don't like is that even though you have a map, it's easy to get lost up on those hills: they need better and more signs to direct us to the different areas and where the exits are.

This is a hard review to make as my feelings are mixed on my experience with Mountain View. It is a…read morebeautiful old cemetery and Manny helped throughout the process with planning my father's gathering & burial arrangements. I'd give him 100stars, cannot say enough wonderful things about this man- He's very professional, kind, and kept me up to date as much as possible and solved problems along the way. Manny went above and beyond to help make the process easier for everyone I was very grateful for his help, I think he works harder at his job than anyone else. Aside from that I was not impressed with a lot of things. The day of the Memorial was chaotic, the guests had no direction and were told to wait so they all congregated up at the front building. Then the viewing that was supposed to be just a couple people turned into everyone coming in to view my father. This could have been catastrophic if I wasn't so laid back but he looked sharp so I figure it was meant to be that way, many were glad they got to see him. It worked out well it was just a bit overwhelming as that was way different than what was originally planned. Whoever was directing outside would not allow the person I hired to set up the photos & flowers go inside the cemetery beforehand so when I discovered that nothing had been done at the site yet I had to run from the viewing to go throw everything together all by myself at the location in the literal minutes before the ceremony. Due to that set back I didn't get anything up properly. Lastly a few days before the funeral the groundskeepers assured me that they would have my grandfathers grave cleaned up (my dad was buried in the same plot at later date) but it was not done. It's also been noticed they remove flowers very quickly after placed which is a bit off putting. They were very much on top of making sure payment was complete but after that it took a substantial amount of time and several check ins before burial happened for my dad. To be honest I didn't mind that wait but from day one I was very clear I wanted to be there for his burial. The day finally came and I found out the afternoon before that they would be burying him the next day, a bit frustrating the lack of notice but it was beyond time for it to happen so I just worked it out. I kept in communication up until just a couple hours before to make sure it was clear I would be there for the burial and agreed to come at a set time. I showed up an hour before that set time and my father was already buried!! This was extremely upsetting and the men finishing up did not seem to care in the slightest about my distress. It seems like they were just glad to have "finished up early". This has been extremely distressing for me and my family/friends are upset hearing it as well. I'm still struggling with what happened. I spoke with Manny afterwards and he was very apologetic as this was not how it was supposed to go, he was not notified they were going to finish early so there was really nothing that could have gone differently on his end. There is some major communication issues going on. I'm definitely rethinking the plans I was considering for myself and the rest of my family in a plot here as it seems like the management is lacking, it doesn't really seem like anyone else cares there. It's kept together just well enough to get paid.

The mortuary not so much we ended up going with a different mortuary. The cemetery itself has been a decent experience. They have a lot of rules about decorating and flowers. It's a little heartless if not followed. Overall the grounds are kept decent and clean. There are a few wild animals that come by often like ducks and coyotes. It's a quiet place to come to.

Unfortunately, this recent experience has shown me that they have not. These people treat the belongings of our loved ones as if they were trash. Why not leave a note? Why not show a little compassion? Why be so insensitive when families are already grieving? It is heartbreaking that while we are mourning, they make an already painful situation even worse. It is deeply disappointing to witness such a lack of empathy and consideration in a place that should offer dignity, respect, and peace. Loma Vista could be the perfect place for our loved ones to rest, but experiences like this undermine that sense of trust and care. Additionally, there has been a noticeable decline in routine maintenance. Although pickup days are scheduled, there have been multiple occasions when items were not collected as indicated, leaving families to address the situation themselves. If you are considering this location, I encourage you to evaluate your options carefully. During difficult times, families deserve compassion, communication, and respect--not added stress, frustration, and disappointment.

They consistently deliver beautiful, high quality arrangements, that are thoughtful than mass produced. Their turn around time is impressively fast and their prices are more than fair when considering the level of care and freshness you get. There is one spot with free 20 minutes parking right in front of the shop. As for parking on the rest of the street, I am not sure. Please read the street signs carefully. The lady who helped us was very friendly and welcoming. There were 3 set prices... $130, $160, $200. The difference between all 3 prices are the amount of flowers that will be on the spray. We chose the one @ $160 which is a great price. It will come with pink, lavender, and white flowers along with the string banner. You may choose the colors you want and they'll choose the flowers that correspond to the chosen colors. You may also have something written on the string banner as long as it fits. We paid cash for it. One of my other aunt also ordered from here same day. The lady waived the delivery fee since both of us ordered from here as a courtesy to us. Thank you so much miss! We appreciate it. I will keep them in mind for any future flower arrangement purchases.
