How this course has less than a full 5 star rating is just another testament to the sheer un-smartness that plagues the vast majority of 'people' residing in Southern Hellifornia. First off, unlike 99% of other public golf courses here in this god forsaken state, one can actually complete 18 holes in under 2.5 hour generally. Most local courses require at least 5-6 hours wasting my time waiting around and regretting paying $70+ green fees on the weekends. True, it is a par 3 course. But from what I've seen on 'full-courses' here where over ambitious hackers think they are Tiger Jr. and truly believe they can drive the green on a par 4, what they really need to do is work on their short game instead. And to all the over-weight, non-disabled golfers paying for a golf cart and ruining the fairways with said cart, do everyone a favor and walk. It's a beautiful course with a lot of greenery, especially this year. read more

Took my GF out on Saturday night to teach her the game. You know how it is teaching somebody, slow go, and biting your tongue half the time. I love it here. Its cheap, its lighted, its relaxed, its usually pretty open. I go about every other week to play about 12 holes.

A small Par 3 public course. Pretty decent driving range & open late.

Gotta give this place some love because it's where my [pathetic] golf game began. It's also the place where one of my buddies slipped coming off the tee box and fractured his ankle. Or was it his leg? Either way, this place holds a lot of memories and the price is right! A great place to work on your short game. Nice course. Staff takes some warming-up to but once you are a regular it's sooth sailing. And the price is right, they even have specials.

I like the short course to work on my accuracy. It's like target practice with your 7-LW from the deck. The driving range mats are the worse I've ever seen, so cheap and hard. The practice facility is cool. I would have given five stars but the range totally blows. read more

Went night golfing (9 holes) yesterday with some girlfriends. We had so much fun. Crowd was super chill. Didn't feel pressured at all. Zack and Clay working the front desk were very attentive. They made us feel extremely comfortable for a bunch of newbies. Great customer service. I'd definitely come again. read more

Received holiday gift card to play at course, lady at clubhouse said they did not honor 9 holes playing on weekends. However they did not mention at the time of sale transactions. They was just out to make money and not honor their gift card. SAD SAD SAD! read more

This is a great par 3 18 hole course. Driving range is also nice with decent quality range balls. One big problem: machine breaks down, staff not available to pick up the ball etc issues. Now in last three time I had to wait twice with some of this issues and instead of refunding money the gold shop takes no ownership of this mistakes. Had to spent an hour on Saturday and left. Then again yesterday the range ball machine dispensed 20 balls for a large bucket. Try to talk to the golf shop lady and instead of some acknowledgment I received a rude comment how I was the third person to tell her that. She gave a extra ticket for medium bucket which also dispensed 20 some balls. Peoples time is lot more important than money and hence this place needs improvement before I risk that time again at this place. Also limit people from filling two large buckets at a time just because of their monthly membership allows. read more

Driving range ball picker broken several times each month; club members very disappointed for coming to practice and finding out the range is closed due to no balls. American Golf should replace the picker ASAP! read more

This review only for the range. Range is kept up well but doesn't matter cause the ball machine is down often and they are so slow at refilling the machine. Wait times up to 45min to get balls. Plus another 45min wait if the range is full. Def avoid peak times, staff can't handle and will get overwhelmed. read more

They don't answer the phone on any line. Took my money over the phone before getting my number, my bad, and I got hung up on after the payment went through. Now I don't even get an answer from the main line. Wtf?! This place is so outdated with technology and they don't return phone calls either. read more

Went to this course for the first time last Monday with two friends. Played the full 18 holes. We had a very pleasant experience. The course was in great shape. Pace of play was quick. (We were the slowest ones out there and let a few smaller groups play through.) Had a nice lunch after the first 9 holes. A BLT and onion rings...not amazing but decent and not too expensive. The staff was friendly. We didn't use the practice range but it looked to be in good shape. I'll definitely be back. read more

Theres a few par3 courses in the area. Hartwell is one of my favorites. I really enjoy goimg there with my family. I think the longest hole is about 140 yards so even friends and family that are somewhat out of shape can enjoy 9 holes. Also because its par3 there is less pressure from "hardcore" golfers. How many screw-ups can you have????? Tried to book a tee time online and could not get a confirmation that the tee time was booked, to make a very long and boring process much more palatable let me fast forward past the other 3 times I tried to repeat the process (Is definition of insanity in there somewhere???) I finally had an epiphany and called the pro shop to see if my reservation was in there. I asked the employee if he could check for me and got a response that he knew nothing about the system and to call the manager the following morning, he stated he can only see/book tee times 5 days in advance. He obviously did not have the same epihany potential as me because the day I called was 5 days before the tee time!!! Tried one last valant effort to book online, hey afterall... if the first four times didn't work, the fifth time surely will... Right??? Okay, much to my chagrin it failed on time number 5 also, but this time I did see a "help desk" number and because I called after hours I got a lovely recorded message that assured me that if I left a message they would gladly return my call. Thank goodness I wasn't holding my breath because they would have buried me before I got the call... Yep. golfed Sunday and still waiting for the call back from the help desk, Kind of reminds me of IT at work, but that's a different story... Finally get tee times when calling the following morning (4 days before the date) and was told to be sure to be there 15 minutes early because it would be busy and they need to stay on time. Putting the fear of losing my tee time I got there 30 minutes early, checked in and was greeted with a "we are running a few minutes behind schedule". When did "a few minutes" translate into just under an hour???? There were 3 large groups in front of us, the groups should have been limited to 5 per party but someone saw the wisdom of allowing 10 people in the groups because only 5 would hit off the tee to the green and the other 5 would putt. So... 5 + 5 = 5, right??? We got especially nervous when the group kept coming out of the proshop with 20 oz Miller beer and filling up their bags. Following this group was painful! The marshall rolled out to them a couple of times, but I pretty much figure he was there to say hello, refill beer or something pointless. While we were frustrated waiting to finally tee off there is some fantastic news to throw in there. The party ahead of us had a great time whooping it up, wonder why that increased with every hole/every beer?? They took time to get some great pictures of each other on the putting green and even had time to slip in a couple of group shots. The most interesting group picture they took was around the 7th hole where they proudly displayed the tee flag in the manner akin to a trophy shot taken on an African safari, except WE WERE WAITING AT THE TEE TO GO! I fully understand that 3 par golfers are not the best golfers in the world, I know that because I fit that category, but the total lack of ettiquette and mindlessness of the proshop is kind of numbing. Bottom line, over 4 hours from promised tee time to actually finishing the 9th hole is as brutal as driving from Vegas to LA on a Sunday...... read more

one word. NIGHT GOLF: 10pm Par 3. Hard to find, I am glad I have easy access to this place.

My family came here to golf but were told we cannot play there because our daughter is under 5 years old. We've never been to a golf course that had an age limit on who can and can't golf or spectate. Since we were there we tried to make the best of it and just use the driving range so that it would not have been a wasted trip but they refused to let us use the driving range as well due to our daughter being under the age of 5. There are no signs posted notifying that the golf course that children under 5 are not welcome and on the course's website it states that "all ages" are welcome! Very unprofessional for a golf course to not be clear on their rules and state one thing on their website but turn people away and enforce a rule that is not stated anywhere on their website or posted anywhere on the golf course itself. We are extremely disappointed and won't be coming back even when our daughter is "old enough". read more

why do they hire people that don't want to work? I was there 7/27 Friday afternoon. When my player's club key for range balls did not work, I went to the clubhouse and told the guy that it didn't work. His response is.. "are you sure? because YOU PEOPLE tell me it does not work and when I check you already have the balls"... looks like it pains him to get off his cellphone and get up his stool to check on the ball machine.. 20 minutes later he finally comes out because I had to come back and tell him that a line has started.. The machine has acted up all night and getting my second bucket was a pain and bad attitude towards me.. I don't understand the word "YOU PEOPLE" to start with and I don't understand why the hostility towards me.. This is the first time I encountered this person and hope he gets better at what he is suppose to be doing. I only go there once in a while and don't mind paying the player's club fee, but I hope this person learn some customer service. Thanks. read more

Teed off on a Sunday @ 2:00 and finished 18 holes in around 3-1/2 hours. Fun course, well kept, plus most players seem to fix their divots. Only down side today was that all the tees were moved up, distances were hard to judge. Going over the green on most of the holes leaves you with a tough chip from somewhat heavy rough. read more

Decided to take the wife out golfing for the first time here, we got nothing but rude remarks multiple times from some old guy that worked there named Gill, and then proceeded to tell us to never return again. We felt rushed even though the distance between us and the next family with two younger children were 2 holes behind. Don't bother reasoning with the employees in the club house, it seems like they have heard this all to many times. Needless to say we will not be returning and I hope my wife's next time golfing will be a more enjoyable experience. read more
