This is probably my goto dessert place going forward. Order: Cup sized Strawberry Shaved Ice and Cheese Taiyaki The Strawberry Shaved Ice was perfectly assembled. Ice was super thin and exciting. The ice cream was dispersed evenly. It also wasn't overwhelming sweet, which I really appreciated. It was also very pretty to look at. They fresh fry the Taiyaki and it was a great compliment to the shaved ice. Will have to try one of the sweet versions next time. Establishment is aptly named. Food was great! Service was great! I can't complain. My sister and I came here and got to try many different things. We got a hot taro milk tea with boba which was delicious. That was the first time we had tried the tea hot and it did not disappoint. I recommend it to anyone who is not s big fan of cold beverages. We also got a regular oreo shaved ice to share which was also good. However it did lack some flavor in some bites causing it to taste like plain ice. We also got 2 taiyakis, one nutella and one cream one. Both were great and but I preferred the cream one more. The store has a nice chill vibe. Good place to study. There is also a wall with hand-drawn wings. The owner talked about how she wanted to let artists express their creativity using that wall which I thought was pretty cool. Overall this place was not bad. I came in for a visit after seeing their Facebook ad. They have a promotion where if you order off their website for pickup, they offer buy 1 get one free. The only downside is their website only allows you to order as early as 30mins ahead and every 15min increment after that. We were already on the way so we just ordered a California sunset and lychee green tea for quickest option of 30mins pickup. The pricing for their drinks were average around $4-$5 a drink for a small. We arrived in less than 15 and surprisingly they had already made our drinks and put it aside. As good as that may sound, we didn't really appreciate that. They make the drinks as soon as you order and disregard the time it is supposed to be for. Our drinks had very little ice as it had mostly melted and our boba was starting to get hard. If we had actually came later at our scheduled time, it would have been fully diluted. The lychee green tea tastes like any other average lychee syrup mixed tea as you would get anywhere else. The California sunset is slightly better in my opinion. It wasn't as bright and pretty in the picture but it at least it just tasted like a normal passion fruit tea. It had an alright balance of sweet and sourness. Maybe I didn't try a variety of enough products, but I thought this boba shop was about average. With this many boba shops in the area, I might come back another time to see if I can find something really special from this place. read more

I dropped by this place on Wednesday with my boyfriend and sister as part of the Yelp Elite Event. It was our first time here and I absolutely loved it! It was easy to find, right by Willow Bend mall surrounded by lots of other restaurants. We got the house coffee milk tea, cali sunset, strawberry shaved ice, vanilla ice cream and two Taiyaki. There are four square tables and a tall bar with outlets for anyone who wants to get some work done or needs to maybe charge their phone. There are sticky notes on the counter type with the WiFi information. There is a super great wing wall for cute pictures. There are also two registers and a bathroom. It's a smaller shop than most but the tables are arranged very well inside and there is a small patio outside too. Now for food- my favorite was the House coffee milk tea! It had a very chocolate and ricey flavor to me. Smooth coffee taste. Not too sweet. Not bitter. Hands down coming back for this! The Strawberry shaved ice was my boyfriends favorite! It was my first time ever having shaved ice and it tasted like yogurt. It melted in my mouth, it was very refreshing, it came with fresh strawberries, and sweet jelly bubbles. It wasn't overly sweet, just right. The Cali sunset had passion fruit tea & something else we didn't catch. It was very refreshing, not too sweet, soft boba, although the boba doesn't have much flavor. It's very neutral. That didn't bother us because the tea was delicious and had enough flavor on its own. My sister ordered Vanilla ice cream. She felt that it had a banana after taste and I agreed. The ice cream was okay, nothing exciting. The Taiyaki was also my favorite! I got both with Nutella filling. They were crispy, dark brown, chewy in the middle, but not mushy. It was the perfect mix. I can't speak to any of the other fillings but definitely try out the Nutella filled! If your a fan of cocohodo you should definitely try this place if you are in south Plano but don't want to make the drive to Carrollton. Bonus- the owner is the sweetest lady! Everything was pretty mediocre, the shaved ice didn't look anything like the picture to the point that I wondered if we had been given the wrong flavor. The taiyaki was good, but averagely so. We ordered the mermaid lemonade for my youngest sibling, thinking it would just be a sweeter lemonade with maybe some artificial flavoring or colored syrup - but the drink we got... none of us were able to drink it. It was extremely sour and acidic (and not in a yummy lemonadey way) to the point of leaving a sore spot on my tongue after just two sips. It tasted almost like it had cleaning product in it, it was that strong. I usually love sour things, even extremely sour - but the taste of this was entirely unappetizing and it hurt to drink. If it's shaved ice you're looking for, there are definitely better places in the area with higher quality shaved ice. This was bingsu style shaved ice - but utterly drenched with what tasted like just plain hersheys syrup and topped with whipped cream, crushed oreos, and random pieces of cereal. I've been on a boba kick lately and this popped up on my suggestions that is was near me. So I stopped in and the owner was explaining her menu to the couple in front of me. I ordered a Lavender Milk Tea and a Taiyaki filled with Nutella. The flavor of the Milk Tea was great. The only issue I had was I didn't order boba in this and the small straws were not for poking the film on top. I had to get the larger straw to pop the film. My suggestion would be to order the smaller version of the big straw for those who don't order boba. Now on to the Taiyaki. She stated she makes the batter every morning and I had to try it. It is made to order so do not be rude and complain about the time it takes. If you not willing to wait for perfection then don't order it. So I ate this cute Nutella filled fish and it was delicious. There was only one employee working and she was dressed super casual (t-shirt and baggy gym shorts); she was super sweet though and seemed happy to be there! Their prices are also higher than some comparable places. Sitting at the table our party turned to humor to justify the experience with statements like "don't worry, they're just planting the melon" or "their ice comes from the arctic". From order to finish it took 30 minutes for a melon shaved ice. Keep in mind that the honeydew flavor includes cantaloupe balls, probably for color but not what we expected.
