To cut to the point, do NOT trust HEC or use them. I have let all my industry friends and peers know to avoid this company at all costs. Used this company three times and the last time they cancelled on me, rescheduled twice and didn't show up either time. Jeanette apologized and said she would make it right when we rescheduled. Yet they didn't show up. I called, texted and she ever got back to me. This is beyond unprofessional. They don't respect your time. I'm glad this happened because I found a new company and turns out HEC was scamming me and never did a proper cleaning. They're aware that we can't go up to the roof and check out the inside of the hood to make sure it had been cleaned properly. Therefore they take advantage of this and will charge you without giving you what you pay for. Each time different workers would come and finish within two hours which is strange since we have a large hood and cleaning it requires roof access as well. They aren't employing the right people - how can you be a professional commercial cleaning company without having the right staff? So be it they weren't even doing a proper cleaning, just pretending they were. The last time they sent two men who had just got out of jail and were in a rehab home (they men directly told us this, we aren't making it up). Not only did they not do a full proper cleaning, they "forget their ladder" and cleaned only the walls and filters of the hood in less than two hours and were "done." Yet I got charged full price and they said they offer a $50 discount for the next cleaning since they didn't have their ladder. The next appointment is the one they cancelled, rescheduled and never showed up to. All 3 times I used them they would leave a puddle of water on the floor and wouldn't clean up after themselves. The new company got so much grease out of the hood that I'm in awe of what a terrible job this place did. They even mentioned that it was so bad in the hood it hadn't been cleaned properly. (See photos of the amount of grease the new company got out!!!) They spent over 5 hours thoroughly cleaning our hood since HEC never did anything!!!! I do not recommend them under any circumstance for your regular hood cleaning services. Find a different company that values and cares for your business as much as you do. read more

I found them on Yelp and they seems to have very good review that I can trusted. We have the hood system deep cleaning and pay over $1,500 for the service. They spend the night after we close the restaurant to clean but when we come to the restaurant and expected, things still doesn't look clean. They throw the dirty glove on the roof. Many soap and dust still on the kitchen floor. That wasn't acceptable at all. I try to text and talk to Joe, he said he will send someone to clean again but this is been more then 1 month already never hear anything back from him again. I suggest maybe consider another company who you can rely on and more honest of their work. We paid so much for the service and expect better outcome then this. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! HEC doesn't deserve even 1 star for what they put us through for a simple project that should have taken no more than a day but took over 10 days to complete. We hired them to replace an old swamp cooler. Danny quoted me a price that included a crane to raise the machines onto the roof. The contract he gave me for the project was incomplete so I began filling in the details that we had agreed upon in his presence. Right away, he objected saying "what-you don't trust me?" which should have been the biggest red flag. Despite my better judgment, I signed the contract and moved forward with the job. Day of installation, they didn't bring a crane. They tied ropes to the unit and dragged it up from side of the building onto the roof, and then dragged it across the roof 100 ft to the location of the old unit. Along the way they damaged a brand new roof that we had put in only a week before (see images). I pointed out the damages and he outright denied them as he was looking right at them. In installing the swamp cooler they broke off a leg that was holding the swamp cooler upright, and when addressed, argued that it was not included in the cost even though I was told everything would be replaced. They said the swamp cooler is fine the way it sits when clearly tilted to the side with the broken leg. Conversations with Danny proved to be a waste of time so I spoke to the owner (Joe) who finally agreed to fix the broken leg. Upon completion of the swamp cooler we noticed that the air duct from the ceiling to the swamp cooler was not connected. The installer said it's very easy and can be done in 5 minutes; he just had speak to Joe. Joe disagreed saying it was a very hard job requiring the ordering of "special parts" which would take 5 days to get, and would cost an extra $400+. I agreed, just to end this nightmare of an experience. Once the installer came out again, I inquired about the special parts. He said he never got them because he simply had to install the duct to the unit. No question - this was just another unethical tactic for making $400+ out of a job that took 5 minutes. Once the job was done, we were left with dirt and debris everywhere. The person that did the installation said he would pressure wash the roof once the job is done. Danny refused to do it and took over a week to convince Joe to have them clean the mess they caused on the roof. HEC is the worst company we have ever worked with. We work with vendors all the time and have never experienced the amount of issues, dishonesty and blatant unprofessionalism that we experienced with HEC. They lie, overcharge you, and give you attitude along the way. I am sure the positive reviews they have received are from family and friends to increase their ratings. I will NEVER use them ever again, even if they are the only contractor in the world available for this kind of work!!! read more

Do not trust this company! I used them for my neighbor's range hood deep cleaning job. They wanted a $300 or $350 deposit before they even started the job. I negotiated it to $150. The owner Joe agreed and said they usually cleaned for restaurants and they would do an excellent job on residential. On the day two guys showed up with filthy clothing. My neighbor thought they did not look like they were from a legit business. One of them broke the turn-on knob and stopped working afterwards. My neighbor did not pay them hoping they will come back fix it. After they left, she sent me pictures of the range hood. The picture will explain better than my words. I wrote the review below but have since been contacted by the customer service representative of HEC who apologized for the bad service and explained it was due to my calling a wrong person on their team for service (I just called the number on the listing). But he did sincerely apologize which was nice. Cannot say for sure I would chance it again but would consider it. (written two weeks prior to above) Very disappointed with the service from this group. They inspected my kitchen exhaust duct and promised repeatedly to provide an estimate for cleaning but ultimately never came through with it. I finally gave up on them after 6 attempts. BEWARE of this rip off company. I do not even give it one star to be able to write this warning I had to choose a star rating. This company asked for over $700 to deep clean a second hand residential hood I purchased. I thought it was 48" as advertised but it was 52" so I needed to resell it and paid this company to deep clean it for me $700 was a lot for me but I figured I'd get it back when I resold it sparking and new looking. Joe, who I spoke with was very nice, so nice that he held the hood for a week before I could get my contractor to pick it up (in exchange for a good review on YELP- which I gave before seeing the hood in person and have now taken down) but when the hood arrived after I paid them in full and it was filthy and greasy (see pics!) he was unable to get me a refund. Taking them to small claims-it's THAT kind of company. They were beyond unfair as you will see. Stay away- far far away!
