Overpriced and no where to eat dessert even though they charge extra to heat up your baked good. The churro cake was the better of the two desserts I bought (also tried their chocolate bread pudding).

Cute dessert place~ on the more expensive side for portion so definitely a treat. I got the berry ricotta tart, which was so yummy! Incredible balance on flavors! Also tried the chocolate strawberry mousse dome which was also a nice balance of classic flavors. I expected the dome to be sturdier so all the texture for it was on the soft side.

Walked in on a whim and am so glad we did! Ordered a Chocolate Strawberry Mousse Dome and a Triple Chocolate Cake. The gentleman behind the counter heat up the cake for us. The mousse dome was fabulous! It was the perfect blend of chocolate and strawberry, and wasn't overpoweringly sweet. But the chocolate cake was the winner of the evening, I will have dreams about it in the future for sure. The ganache on top was the perfect addition.

Beautiful presentation and always have a special unique taste! So far I've only tried their berry chocolate dome (amazing), chocolate cake with ganache (also amazing) and the cherry tart (which was actually too sweet but the tart crust was soooo good). Excited to try their other desserts! Wish the location has easier parking access... it doesn't have parking of course so either you are lucky and find a spot to take ages to park and walk there...

Ice cream and granola

This was near a work dinner in Cap Hill so I had to stop by for some post-drink munchies. I got a lemon tart to take home and eat and granola for later--they were all delicious. Service was impeccable and immaculate! Real and friendly, seems like a great neighborhood small business. (And it is located in an apartment building? With a UPS/mail room next to it on the bottom floor?) There were lots of options and I would go back if I lived in Seattle!

I was shopping in Capitol Hill when I walked by R&M Dessert Bar and had to stop in to satisfy my sweet tooth. The shop is a takeaway boutique where you walk up to the counter and order the pastries to-go. Their menu options change daily so you have no idea what they have available for the day. Everything in their visual menu display case looked gorgeous and I had a hard time choosing. I settled on the triple chocolate cake and raspberry mousse tart. The guy at the counter heated the chocolate cake before packing it. Unfortunately, since it's a small, little shop that doesn't have any seatings, you really can't enjoy your sweet treats right away. Also, while the desserts tasted good, they were really expensive @ $9 a piece. I have had similar desserts for much lesser price and better flavor. I am knocking of 2 stars for these reasons.

triple chocolate cake was more like a brownie... I appreciate the warming instructions but unfortunately I didn't have a microwave so I just had a thick ganache that was as sweet as icing, on top of the already sweet cake

Pistacchio Cioccolato Tart

We were in Seattle recently and were looking for a new to us dessert place to try. We found R&M Dessert Bar on Yelp and decided to try it. They had great options and it was tough deciding which ones to get. We got Pistacchio Cioccolato Tart and Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. They are a take out only place, we took our desserts to a park to enjoy. We loved them both, they were delicious, the right amount of sweet and decadent. We will definitely be back to try other items they have.

Opens late and yummy dessert!! I was craving some chocolate cake and the only places opened was Hot Cakes and R&M. Ive been to Hot Cakes. It's good but a bit pricey. So I thought I should try R&M. Honestly... Best decision ever! My craving was satisfied. I'm curious to try other flavors!! Will definitely come back again :)

Nice little shop serving up some great desserts. The Raspberry Tart was bit too tart and sour for me, but still very good.

A unique dessert experience in that everything is takeout, so you can buy a bunch of desserts, warm them up yourself whenever, and eat from the comfort of your own home. I liked how everything was packaged nicely in microwave safe containers and also had instructions to warm them up. The downside to this is that I feel a lot of these desserts would've tasted better fresh. My favorite dessert was the Tres Leches cake, which is their most popular for a reason. The cake was soft and fluffy but kept moist by the generous milky soak which seemed to be lightly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg. The cake itself wasn't too sweet which was good since the soak was on the sweeter side. The ice cream here is also really good and contends with the local ice cream specialty shops. I got the marionberry and cheesecake ice cream and it was delicious. The ice cream texture was soft and scoopable even right from the freezer. The base was rich and had a fresh dairy flavor. That combined with hints of fruitiness from the marionberry swirl and the chunks of cheesecake which had a slight tanginess and textural contrast was amazing.

We tried pistachio cheesecake and lemon cake. Both were great and not overly sweet. Would highly recommend trying a few desserts.

They also have these adorable, beautiful fruit sandwiches on display. I also saw they have savoury bento items on the menu. We tried the hojicha soft serve ($6) and it was amazing. It's really just vanilla soft serve with a syrup of a flavor of your choosing - sesame, matcha, hojicha, etc. We were way too full to get the full sundae but we definitely want to get that next. You can have mochi topping too.

They currently offer Matcha, Hoji-Tea, Kuro-Goma (black sesame), and Yuzu (Japanese citrus). The shop itself is very small since it's basically a window shop, either renting space from or connected to Tamari Bar. It's more like a little dessert stand located on the restaurant's patio area, with only a few outdoor tables available. The soft serve was okay, but not as creamy as I was hoping for, and it melted pretty quickly. If you decide to add a syrup flavor, I'd recommend asking for only a small amount. Mine came absolutely drowning in syrup, and honestly, the flavor tasted pretty artificial and overpowering.

First, the negatives that didn't affect my rating: parking is a pain, but that's expected for this neighborhood in Seattle. Seating is also very cramped and tight during the dinner rush. Annoying, yes, but understandable. What did affect the rating was the food itself. The Oreo brownie bingsu looked beautiful, but honestly it just was not very good. I've had much better bingsu elsewhere, even at chains like Snowy Village. It felt more Instagram-worthy than actually enjoyable. The mango cheesecake crepe was even worse. My friend and I literally scraped all the filling off and just ate the crepe itself because the toppings tasted so artificial. The mangoes tasted frozen, the syrup was overly sweet and processed tasting, and the whole thing lacked freshness. For the price, it was genuinely disappointing. The final bill ended up being over $40, which would have been easier to justify if the desserts were memorable, but they really weren't. One last thing: I don't mind tipping when there's actual service involved, but this is essentially counter service where customers are also expected to clear their own trays afterward. Having the tipping screen pop up at checkout after that experience just felt excessive and awkward.

It has House made matcha pudding and syrup, matcha ice cream, vanilla soft serve ice cream, corn flakes, red bean paste, mochi, and whipped cream.
