This place is not worth time or money. They have two different sizes of pho, but only one size when you do take out, yes, the more expensive one. Their menu changes all the time! We asked for a kids portion of chicken teriyaki, but a week later, this dish doesn't exist. So inconsistent! so i went to this place called "Hello Pho"... in Puyallup/South Hill right off of Meridian. and NEVER AGAIN!!! it just opened i wanna say maybe like 3-4 months ago. walking in off rip seemed cool. it seemed like it was clean, and they greeted me as soon as i walked in. there was other people seated, and they sat us in the back. noticing off rip, they had wooden chopsticks. maybe bamboo. and they were sitting on the table with many others. they rewash their chopsticks. which is fine, but only when you're washing them how they need to be washed. there was bits of food still on them, Red flag #1 we ordered Teriyaki Beef, with rice and a salad, no fish sauce. the food came, and some parts were bloody and raw while others were okay. all i can say is, IT DID NOT TASTE LIKE BEEF. i eat beef, many different cuts but i spit it out immediately. i went to the front and told them some pieces were raw. and i want to sub for a different meat like Spicy Chicken because i didn't want to risk the beef. i didn't want extra rice or anything, just meat. i didn't tell them it tasted funny. #2 they brought the chicken, and it seemed to be okay but everything had an off taste. like dish water, or mop water. just this foul taste and smell and i couldn't stomach it. some pieces of the chicken appeared to be pink in the middle so i was literally cutting through every piece to make sure it wasn't raw because i didn't trust it.. #3 to top this off, i proceeded to go take a drink of my Sprite just to find A BUG. A DAMN BUG IN MY DRINK. and when i said something about it , all they could say was "oh i apologize" or "oh".. and when i suggested maybe they clean the soda machine they said they cleaned in every morning. and the best they could do was offer me another one, I DONT WANT ANOTHER ONE. i'm not the type of person to complain about business because everyone is just trying to do their own thing, but i take food safety and the well-being of customers VERY serious being someone who's worked in the food service industry for several years. raw food, and bugs is the BASIC! don't come here. This WAS the worse Pho place I have ever been to. The Pho was too sweet and made my sister's blood sugar spike. The portions and taste were terrible. I got the gyro for an appetizer, and my sister got the chicken wings. The chicken had not been marinated in the sauce at all, just put on minutes before being served. The gyro came with the wrong type of sauce and tasted terrible. The Pho was as a I said too sweet and not authentic. When I said no they just pointed to a table and tossed a menu on it. Cool. Good first impression. Food: Subpar. Pho broth was so so. It wasn't hot but on the higher end of warm. Odd middle area. Like when you put it in the microwave at home and don't add enough time. The only flavors that really came through was clove/anise. I got steak/brisket and had more fat than meat. The noodles were just standard. The veggies were not good. Lime was dried out and trying to get lime juice was like trying to get water from a stone. I got one terrible jalapeño slice and would have like more but not a single person stopped back by to check if everything was good. Ambiance: It's a good looking place. I can say that I really enjoy this restaurant. The atmosphere is so friendly and clean. The style of the restaurant is so cute and the staff seem very fast and hard working. Ordered take out here. I can't say it is the best pho or banh mi since I don't eat pho that much and can't compare. I will say is that my whole family enjoyed their pho and banh mi, especially the broth. When I went in to pick up, the place was very clean and the interior was well designed. Only cons are that the price is about 5 bucks more than the other local joints for pho. Also, I didn't get any veggies to top my pho (I ordered 4 bowls of pho). Maybe I needed to ask? (Extra charge?) Tonight I had the opportunity to dine at Hello Pho with my family. Upon entering the restaurant we were immediately greeted by the wait staff. He seated us at a nearby booth. The restaurant appeared clean and well lit. The Asian decor included Vietnamese artwork and a wooden canoe that customers could sit in and take selfies. The dish I ordered was Banh Xeo, also known as Vietnamese crepe. It was a generous size and had shrimps, chicken, and bean sprouts in the center. Accompanying the banh xeo were lettuce, basil, and cilantro. I could taste the rich coconut milk in the crispy crepe. My stomach was happy after dinner, and I highly recommend this restaurant for Banh Xeo! read more

This is my usual pho spot, I love their food but for some reason this visit with my family with me, they decided to have the worst service id ever experienced. I always applaud this place of fast quality service but this time they took forever to get our order in and after the food was brought out they did not provide the plate of veggies that go with pho. We sat there for another 20 min of not eating and waiting for the rest of our order. Also this place checks you out at your booth when you're done. This time for whatever reason they let us sit at our booth for about another 30 min before going up there and forcing them to check us out. It was the typical, " Im hungry but i dont want fast food tonight so where are we going" kind of deal when we were in town looking for a place to eat. Planned on going to Red Robin but too crowded, Applebees was the same deal. We were going to turn around until we drove past this place and it looked so pretty from the road that we decided to come inside. You get welcomed almost immediately and seated. You're offered a menu and a beautiful water carafe is placed on your table. We ordered a couple appetizers, chicken teriyaki, and pho. The appetizers came out hot and fresh and the pho was smooth and comforting. The only downfall was their teriyaki. It started good, but as you ate, the salt that was cooked with it was just a bit too much to our liking. The char on the chicken though was delicious. Pineapple bubble tea with rainbow jelly (because they ran out of tapioca) and their hello milk tea ended the evening. Terrible. Employee came in from his car, brought cough/cold medicine and proceeded to line up medicine shots for himself and both employees AT THE FRONT COUNTER! We were sitting at a table waiting for our takeout order and watched this all happen. Not only did he take medicine in front of customers, he didn't wash his hands after coming inside and then proceeded to serve food. The quality of the food was bland. Pho has little to no flavor and the yakisoba was overpriced and not enjoyable. Absolutely won't be back and pretty bummed to have wasted $50. read more

Pho broth here is good. It's not the best pho I've had but for Puyallup it's pretty good. Disappointed they don't have the usual meat options like tripe, meatball, tendon. Their pho choices is definitely americanized. Restaurant is big, spacious, and clean. Was not checked on when I dined in, yet others who were dining in were checked on constantly. So that was a bit disappointing. Also tried their vermicelli noodle bowl and that was delicious! I would come back to get this alone! Today is the third time I have eaten at this restaurant. The first time was their first day, the food was great and fresh the first and second time. Today however was a problem. We ordered two ham bahn mi, we received two grilled pork instead. On top of that, the bread was not fresh, and the meat was cold and chewy like it was old and refrigerated. There were only a few small pieces of pickled vegetables on it. This was especially disappointing because we had such high hopes for this place, and wanted to see them do well.
