Yoo Hello Robin has some of the best cookies around. You want the ones that are thicker rather than the standard round ones. Either way you can't go wrong, but the thick ones are amazing. I really wanted to try the orange habanero chocolate chip but they ran out! That's probably a good sign though, so if you get the chance opt for that. I opted for birthday cake and chocolate chip off the bat and then asked for recommendations. Snickerdoodle is apparently super popular (though it's the standard round one and to me felt pretty standard like other snickerdoodles). Alongside that, the snack attack (seasonal), whole wheat fancy chocolate with sea salt, and mackles'more were suggested. I can attest to those three being awesome. Lucky for me, the birthday cake was fresh. Birthday cake also has filling on the inside, so the freshness was delightful. Chocolate chip is the perfect standard, cannot ever go wrong and nothing ever beats it fresh. Mackles'more costs an extra 50 cents but I'd order at least one. Comes with a graham cracker on the bottom with a toasted marshmallow and chocolate on top, what you kind of expect. It's so good though. Snack attack was advertised as something sweet and salt and that's a good way to describe it. A mix of flavors that is welcome. Whole wheat fancy chocolate with sea salt was more of a standard chocolate chip with some clashing sea salt that somehow enhanced the overall taste. All three are great options. My ranking? From what I tried, I'd put it in the following order: chocolate chip, birthday cake, mackles'more, whole wheat fancy chocolate, and then snack attack. However, everything is so tasty. read more

I've been wanting to try Hello Robin for the longest time and finally had my chance last night! I took my brother and mother-in-law for dessert last night after a Mother's Day dinner out. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our turn, and finally got to the window and there were only about 4 cookie flavors left! :( So that was very disappointing. They also serve Molly Moon's ice cream in addition to their freshly baked cookies, and most of the flavors were still available. I ended up getting the Lavender Chocolate Chip Cookie ice cream sandwich with Birthday Cake ice cream flavor and here are my thoughts: - Lavender and chocolate chips? WOW! IT WAS AMAZING!! Definitely a new favorite flavor of mine! - The cookies were soft and chewy and perfect with the scoop of ice cream in between - the Birthday Cake ice cream honestly did NOT taste like birthday cake flavor...it was more vanilla-y. Our favorites were the molasses that had a nice ginger snap flavor (though I would actually like even more ginger and spice), the oatmeal chocolate chip, and of course the classic chocolate chip. 5 stars doesn't even begin to describe this wonderful place. We went back two days in a row and got pretty much the same thing! Full sandwich with two snickerdoodles and the birthday cake cookie dough ice cream. I'm salivating just thinking about it again. It was SO good!! We also tried the s'mores cookie which was good and the molasses which was good but not our favorite. I was in the UW area this past weekend and paid a visit to this U Village cookie shop. I showed up at the walkup window. The gal at the register was friendly. I asked her about the top cookies and I chose a couple of them within my 1/2 dozen selection. Yep, had to bring some back home to the fam. I ordered the Classic Chocolate Chip, Birthday Cake, Mackles'more (with Theo Chocolate), Brown Butter Snickerdoodle, Lemon Glazed Poppyseed, and Orange Habanero Chocolate chip. FYI, I forgot to take a photo of all 6 cookies so instead you'll only see the 4 of them. We chose to have Hello Robin cookies for our June wedding and it was great! A few months before we ordered one of each cookie and had a sampling to select the final 5 cookies - Classic Chocolate Chip, Brown Butter Snickerdoodle, Mackles'more, Strawberries & Cream, and Orange & Habanero Chocolate Chip. When it came time to place the order, the communication could use a little improvement, it took a few emails, the online form and a few phone calls before I got word back. And even after placing the order and receiving the receipt, there was no confirmation email of what we ordered. Luckily it worked out and everything was ready on time, but it made me anxious. Came here during last week's heat wave, when I was absolutely melting and the only thing keeping me going was trying out Hello Robin. A local friend recommended this and I knew I had to check it out! I got the chocolate chip cookie and birthday cake cookie dough ice cream. This sugar bomb exceeded my expectations! Although I was debating between all the fun cookie flavors (smores and strawberry shortcake looked incredible) I'm glad I went with the classic. The chocolate chips melted into the ice cream, which was creamy and decadent. I was surprised that the birthday cake pieces were actually cookie dough, but these were great as well. Summary: The best cookies around (if you aren't a baller on a budget). Aight, so I had heard so much hype around Hello Robin cookies, but I had just never gotten around to their Seattle location. And, being a baller on a budget, paying $3 for ONE COOKIE was just not how I was raised. Buttttt, I just so happened to be at U-Village where their new location opened and my inner foodie got the best of me. Because of COVID, we couldn't actually go into the store but there was a window- drive through set up and you could still see all of the cookies. I'll be honest, I was overwhelmed by all the options and it was interesting to see the size and shape of each flavor varied greatly. And they got every flavor under the sun, from a orange habenero to lemon glazed poppy seed (idk how I feel about these). So, I decided to play it safe and get one OG "Classic Chocolate Chip" cookie which is their best seller, and I asked the kind worker for her recommendation and she recommended the "Whole Wheat Fancy Chocolate with Sea Salt Cookie." which I was skeptical- a whole wheat cookie sounds like an oxymoron, and if I'm gonna treat myself I'm all in, and I ain't trying to get a diluted healthier version. But the worker was adamant, and what do I know, this was my first time there so I obliged and bought one of the whole wheat suckers. Both of the cookies were around $3- some other options are more than $3, which still blows my mind. The chocolate cookie was decent, there was a bit too many choco chips in it for me personally, but it was a solid, dense, moist, chewy cookie. I will say I was surprised by how small in diameter the cookie was, but it was definitely dense. The real STUNNA was the whole wheat cookie! All cookies should be made with whole wheat. Yes you heard me! For some reason the cookie was perfect. It wasn't too sweet, it was chewy and the sea salt flakes on top were the perfect compliment to the sugar. I was blown away. Now maybe it's because I had no expectations for the whole wheat cookie, but my rule of thumb is- if I wake up thinking about a particular dish or item from the day before, then it qualifies as a repeat restaurant that I would recommend to others! I thought the walk up window was a great idea and think it helps in terms of lines and safety guidelines. They essentially are serving the same cookie flavors as the other location which is great! Hello Robin is my favorite cookie shop in Seattle but possibly anywhere in general. They mainly have very classic cookies (no wild stuffed cookies or wacky flavors) but that's just what I need. I don't like eating a cookie then feeling super sugar high and heavy. The execution of each flavor is an amplified version of what you're expecting. My favorite cookies are chocolate chip and Hello Robin has a couple of varieties. Their standard is still my favorite but they have a whole wheat version, one with oatmeal and one that is more "granola bar-y". They might have more but these are what I recall from memory. They're all quite different, which is super fun, so if you're picky, you'll likely be able to find one that suits you the most. The standard is my favorite bc of the deep flavor in the cookie and the texture as well (risen well and the ideal chew for me). Recently Hello Robin has popped up at local grocery stores too in the frozen aisle and that's really dangerous for me! I feel like buying a cookie at the store is a bit pricey given the size (but worth it for the taste and quality). However the frozen ones are really worth it for me. I can have a cookie whenever I want now! And the cookies are even better warm and fresh out of the oven (which isn't guaranteed when you're picking up at the store).
