Be careful with the warranty they sell you! It doesn't cover accidental damage, and instead of helping, they try to upsell you on a brand-new ring for double the price rather than fixing the one you already have. We brought our ring in to be cleaned and were under the impression that the inspection would be done at the same time, as that's always been the process. However, the associate told us that whoever helped us must not have logged the inspection, -- so now my warranty is void because of their mistake. Instead of taking responsibility, she just kept giving us excuses and pushing us to buy a new ring. What's even more disappointing is that we've always bought our jewelry here and have been loyal customers for years. You'd think they would value that and take some responsibility, but instead, we were met with excuses and pressure to spend more money. Really frustrating and disappointing experience. read more

Here at the Lakeline Mall in the northwest suburbs of Austin you'll find a Helzberg Diamond store, along with many others. It seems to be pretty busy and not selling that much volume. The stuff in here is good, but very overpriced, and the customer service is good, so hopefully they get some customers come in and pop over to check out some awesome stuff, and they're able to sell to them without being too pushy. Barbie prefers cheap knock off jewelry, but if she was going to buy from the mall, I think she'd choose between Swarovski and Helzberg rather than something like Kay or Zales. read more

I have waited 4 months for this review. I was happy to find my engagement ring and wedding band set at this location. I even ignored the negative reviews about the ring changing colors. My fiancé and I purchased our rings here 4 months ago and my engagement ring looks significantly different then my future wedding ring and his. I noticed a discoloration a few weeks ago and showed my fiancé, but he said it is just scratched. Well today (after losing 30 pds) I decided to take my engagement ring and future wedding ring in to be sized. When I pulled out my future wedding ring I was able to compare the difference in color. When I made it to the mall the sales associate told me this is normal wear and tear and it just needed to be refurbished. Huh...? I have only had the ring 4 months. She asked me if I had my 6 month check up (I reminded her I bought it in July, 4 months ago). She showed me her ring which was very yellow gold and said it is normal for white gold to rub off and it just needed to be refurbished. I informed her that this is not normal and that I have been married for 13 years prior to this and my rings never changed color or scratched. I am very disappointed and to make matters worse. We still owe $1400 on the rings. Remember I said I went in to have it resized?!?! The picture shows their fix for the resize until I am married. The sales rep suggested this temp fix for one month before we marry, so that when we marry my rings are the same color and size. BUT how will they look 4 months... years later! This is not what I was expecting for such an expensive purchase. God forbid if I miss a 6 month checkup, I will probably just have to deal with whatever comes our way then... The prices are standard for brick and mortar stores (i.e. much more expensive). The customer service was good but they made a mistake on our order. Also, there was some tricky sales tactics when they said 0% financing but it actually meant signing up for a credit card. I almost signed up until I realized it was a card so I just paid in full. Also tried to push for add ons. We ordered 2 wedding bands (his and hers). His came in quickly. Hers took 8 weeks (quote was 6-8 weeks). We went in to pick it up 3 weeks before the wedding and found it was in the wrong color. They ordered it again and quoted 4 weeks, so it was going to miss the wedding. They offered to let us use the wrong color one but we declined as we can just order a cheap knock off just for the wedding. When we said that, they tried to sell us another in-store band (LOL). Reason for 2 stars is because the 2nd order still isn't here yet even though it's been 5 weeks. I called in for status and it seems like it'll take probably 3 more weeks (8 weeks even though the quote was 4). Just bad impression as the mistake caused us to miss the ring for the wedding and the replacement one still isn't here yet. read more

Great service when buying jewelry but terrible customer service when coming back for service/maintenance. They are very antiquated in their ways. They give you a paper card you are supposed to keep for the life of your jewelry and bring back into the store every 6 months to get your jewelry checked. I came in after having moved further away from the store, to have my ring rhodium plated (which is customary for white gold and included in my service contract). Since I had not been coming every six months, they said they would have to charge me and would not honor my service package. So I drove across town, on Mother's Day for nothing! read more

This is my usual helzberg that I go to and the one where I bought the engagement ring for my wife. I love the service here it's way better than Jared's just right outside the mall. The people who work here always help me out and take the time to educate. When I walked in to get the engagement ring I had done my own research but they really walked me through everything. I got a great stone for the engagement ring and a great price. My wife always gets compliments on what an amazing stone we got. I have been working with mercy a lot there and she remembers who we are and knows us by name which is huge in the retail world. Love this location! Definitely one of the best jewelry stores to go to! We have been solely shopping at Helzberg since we purchased our wedding rings. The staff is always super friendly and very accommodating. No hassling to get higher priced items like most jewelry stores will. I always go in with a budget in mind and the staff members always try to keep me WAY below budget or even giving me some options based on the jewelry or gemstone I'm looking for. More recently, I purchased a Morganite ring that I have been eyeing and I felt really great about my purchase afterwards! I'm picking it up in 4 days as it was out getting sized, but I'm sure I will be purchasing MANY more items in the near future! To start, I will give you some context about who I am... I am currently a full-time student at UT Austin and I work two jobs while my fiancé is over a thousand miles away in the army. When I first walked into this location, I was just looking. I fell in love with a ring that the woman (I won't say her name for her sake) showed me the perfect ring based on what I described wanting. It was a size 7 and needed to be resized to a 5.5. It was beautiful and more amazing than anything that I had imagined. Before I knew it, I bought my ring and the lifetime care package to compliment it! I was thrilled. Well, on the "Guaranteed Date" for it to be ready (returned to the store after being resized), I called to ask if it was ready. When I bought the ring, I was told that it normally is ready a full week before that date, but I was okay when it wasn't, however when it was not ready on that date, I was given the run around. When I insisted that I was to pick it up on that date, the 2 employees who had been saying "it isn't here yet" and "maybe tomorrow" and "we don't know where it is right now," suddenly changed their approach. There was no manager available that day either. I had to call other location managers in order to get help and to get someone to tell me where my ring was. Come to find, my ring had arrived back from the HELZBERG JEWELER and it had a few stones loose so the associate who sold me the ring took it to Fast Fix upstairs (A NON-HELZBERG JEWELER) to have the prongs tightened. I was then required to accept that no one asked me if I was okay with someone taking my ring to a different jeweler without my permission. But seeing my ring and putting it on filled me with such joy that I went home without a second thought. Ugh! It was perfect!!! Or so I thought... When I arrived home with my ring, I went to show it to my dad and I found that indeed a few stones were loose. I commend her for seeing they were loose however she told me that they were all tightened, so why would any be loose now? Since my trust had been broken with this location so I took my ring to the jeweler that I trust to inspect it, Benolds. They didn't do any work on it. I sat there and watched them take a look at it and whoever resized my ring had brushed out the 14K so we could no longer tell what type of white gold it was. Also, they advised me that the ring I purchased had a structure that should not of been resized and was now compromised. Infuriated, I called corporate and they told me that not only are there notes in the system that say NOT to resize that ring, but they no longer carry that ring and no longer can even get it. I've been invited to pick out a new ring before my wedding in 25 days and I must say... I don't want any ring except for that one ring. I love it. It was to be my perfect ring. It had beautiful light blue diamonds in it to compliment the regular diamonds. It was unique and perfect along side my engagement ring... At this point, I have looked everywhere for something comparable and nothing takes the cake. I don't want a wedding band anymore. My fiancé and I have busted our butts with the distance and planning this wedding and I am crushed by all of the events that have unraveled and the run around that everyone has given me every time I have called for help. Corporate couldn't help me. The manager couldn't help me. I don't even know what to do anymore. I'm crushed because I want to "just pick a new ring" but I don't like anything else. That was the ring. He will be putting my engagement ring on my finger on our big day now. I don't want to have to post a review like this ever because I know what retail is like, but I can't not share this experience because it really sucks... As an army bride and a student, doing all of this on my own and working and trying to do it all right, this really devastated me... I'm having a hard time looking forward to the big day now.. Con:They changed my ring size, though to a smaller one instead of the original size with the gold ball sizers (so I can easily remove them when I gain pregnancy weight), so in the end I think I will have to spend money on resizing( weakening )the ring later on. read more

I called this location and spoke with a woman with a weird name, anyway, I called and gave her the item number for the item I was searching for and she said that she has the item in stock. I love this location so much and always look forward to getting my ring cleaned. Mercy is always accommodating and wonderful to talk to. You can really tell that she loves her job. I stop at this location every couple of months to get my ring cleaned and I have never had a problem. There is usually no customers in there when I go so it does not take but a couple of minutes. First let me say that about two weeks ago i would have given this place 2 stars, why because i have been a customer of theirs for four years and have lifetime protection on my rings, mind you its three rings put together, I've had work on it before but all of a sudden i couldn't get it sized because the receipts said i didn't have protection on all three rings....needless to say i was livid! I called cooperate and saw it in my favor like i figured. I waited for them to sort it out and fix the receipts so i won't have this issue again. I went back in today i have the pleasure of dealing with two different ladies who were the greatest they had no idea what happened i explained and they said it should have never happened (same store as the previous ladies) and they were very nice and very understanding and heartfelt about what happened a few weeks ago. If it wasn't for their generosity i wouldn't have returned. All i can say is thank you to those ladies who were nice and made my experience again amazing like it should be, i will be going back in January and dealing with these two ladies only. read more

I spoke Jolene that day she heard from the jeweler.... she told more additional work was needed and i said id call back after speaking with my husband. I called 2 hrs later and she was gone but the gentleman left a message for Adrianna about going forward! Same day remember. Never heard anything so the next afternoon i called to make sure the message was received and jeweler was notified to go forward. Was told yes... "got the note this morning"..... obviously a lie bc 7 days later and jeweler was just told... not wont be ready for another week and some days! They act like this is okay.... definitely is not. Buyer Beware! I bought a ring from this store and I bought a diamond also from this store and they put it together and told me that if I wasn't satisfied I have 60 days to return. I brought it back to return within 60 days because my wife wanted something bigger and a little more glamorous and we were denied the return because they considered it customized. it is hard to believe that when you buy a setting and buy a ring from the same place and they are the ones to put it together they would consider that customized? if that's the case every ring in their showcase is already customized because at some point in time it would have had to been put together. It is my opinion that if you as much as have your ring sized at this location that will be considered a customization and you will not be allowed to have a 60-day return option. I had just hired an attorney to file suit against the store and if anybody else is having the same issue please message me so we can include you into our lawsuit read more

Mercy is absolutely fantastic to work with! We came in looking for something special and she was so patient and genuine. She loved hearing our story as a couple, and she gave us great advice. She's incredibly knowledgeable and professional while still being very down-to-Earth and always happy to answer questions. I also loved that she was ensuring we loved everything about the piece and that we had the best price possible. Horribly wonderful experience :) A Horribly Wonderful Experience Let me start this off by saying we got our engagement ring at Helzberg after a disaster of an experience at Jarod's. We were shopping for wedding bands months in advance. Our sales rep at Helzberg made a point of saying how important it was to get our order in within plenty of time of the wedding date so that we got the rings that would be blessed in the ceremony instead of a stand in. A few months later we placed our order. Strange thing soon to be hubby's band came in and mine had not yet. I kept wanting to call and check but future hubby kept saying they told us up to 6 weeks for mine to come in and to give it time so we waited. Here we are 2 weeks before our wedding date and he calls, to my horror the order was not submitted correctly the ring was never going to be made with the way it was submitted no wedding band. The bad part, I have a super small ring size to use a display wedding band with diamonds on it would permanently destroy the ring it will not hold, it would only be for the ceremony the same ceremony they pressed I must have my ring order submitted in time for so that it would be the same ring and blessed by the minister. Now that we have found this out we go to the store to see what if anything can be done. Nothing they will try to rush the order but there is no guaranty that I would have my important ring to be blessed during the ceremony it will be a stand in ring. My future hubby took me to Tiffany & Company, who could guarantee my ring would be ready in time. I told him no. Helzberg advised they would do everything they could to try to make sure my ring arrived in time for the ceremony. They even decided to deliver a ring on the morning of the ceremony to The Botanical Garden's. The store manager Jon was on the way with the stand in, he got a call turned around headed back towards the store and someone else met him halfway with the actual ring. He arrived through heavy event traffic (not ours) and handed the ring to my mother in plenty of time for the ceremony. He saved the day :) This was a very stressful situation for us. Helzberg employees went above and beyond to make sure a mistake didn't ruin our big day. This rating is almost 2 years overdue. read more

The manager could not explain gold to me. I asked her about the differences in color between different gold rings they had. She shrugged and said, "gold's gold." I still bought the ring because I loved the design (it's now discontinued). When I brought it back to be cleaned, they sent it out to another jeweler who damaged one of the diamonds. After much back and forth, they finally agreed to replace a diamond, which fell out within a week. They had to order me a new ring..and it was the wrong size. I bought a Masterpiece solitaire 2 years ago, and recently took it in for my semiannual inspection, and based on that, decided to have it refurbished. The ring came back sooner than expected, and looked at least as beautiful as it was the day I bought it. I then took my previous wedding ring in to be refurbished. It also needed to have the main stone re-set, and a couple of other prongs worked on. I picked it up today, and I am blown away at how much better it looks! The new setting makes this ring look even better than new. I highly recommend their repair services. read more

I bought my diamond wedding ring and diamond cocktail ring at Helzberg at Lakeline Mall. I went in yesterday for my 6-month inspection and was approached by Ashely Ayre. I told her that I was there to get my rings inspected. When I gave them to her, she asked for the inspection card and I told her I did not have it. She seemed a little put out and said it would be about 5 minutes. After a few minutes, she returns the rings back to me "all shiny and clean". I ask for a new inspection card showing that it was inspected. She smirked at me and said "you never gave me your name". I was a little surprised at her attitude and told her she never asked for my name and as a customer she should have. I felt like I didn't belong there - like I was bother her. She then explained condescendingly to me that Helzberg changed their policy and they will not issue a new inspection card unless it has been lost. And that I can come back to get it re-inspected with the inspection card, once I have found it. She should have asked for my name when I told her I was there to get my jewelry inspected. She should have told me of the policy change when I told her I did not have my inspection card. The personnel at this store has changed and not for the better. When I started going to this store a few years ago, I was treated with kindness and respect. When it is time to buy more jewelry, I will not be going back to Helzberg at Lakeline Mall. read more

I also came to Helzberg at Lakeline Mall after a horrible experience. Ours was at Samuels at Gateway. At Samuels, after three incorrect orders, a diamond falling out of one of the incorrect orders, and about a year of waiting for my engagement ring to come in, and it was still not the right setting, we were done! The store manager never accepted responsibility for the incorrect orders, and didn't make any effort to ensure that our ring was exactly what we had ordered. We took our diamond, got our money back and left! We came to Helzberg in Lakeline mall, frazzled, frustrated, and impatient. Holly met us with a smile, and asked us why we were in. We told her all about our bad experience, and she immediately assured us that nothing like that would happen at Helzberg. As someone who struggles with indecision, I was relieved that Holly had a great method to help me find the perfect ring, within our price range. We were so happy with it and were ready to order, but there was a problem with ordering the setting for the stone size that we had. Holly said that she would make some calls and let us know if it could work out. She called within the same day, and had made arrangements with a jeweler to make the setting fit my diamond. She really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy and wouldn't have to wait any longer for my ring. The ring came in earlier than we had expected it to, and it was perfect and gorgeous! It was such a great customer service experience - Holly was so attentive to our needs and concerns, and let us know she cared about making our engagement ring purchase as stress-free as possible. I would highly recommend Helzberg in Lakeline Mall, especially for engagement and wedding rings! read more
