I went here for Sunday brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the tucked away location along the river. I arrived on time but it was sooooo busy/crowded that it took 15 minutes to get help/seated. Once I was finally seated it took 20 minutes for the wait to come over. The brunch menu includes budget items (catfish, chicken, bacon, Mac & cheese, salad, etc) and the items you can order from the server (French toast, biscuits, avo toast etc). I ordered 2 biscuits and a drink ... they didn't come. I had to ask for the drink after 20 minutes (my companion ordered mimosas) and it took an additional 20 minutes for the pineapple. The food at the buffet was very picked over and the condiments were never refreshed. I found it odd that bowls of seasoning were on the table (there has to be another way). I ordered a second drink and again it took forever for it to come. When we were ready to leave it took the server 30 minutes to come and check us out. The food was good, but the service is far too slow and it was really loud in the small, tight area behind the bar.

I forgot to take pictures but headquarter prime was awesome. We came on a day where they did the like bottomless crab, legs, and cornbread, and awesome love the crab legs. The cornbread was fire. They also included drinks on that like bundle so I was able to get like endless sangrias. The sangrias were good. The crabs were good. The cornbread was good. We was trying to take that joint home so bad. The service was good. She was bringing crab legs again and again I was full when I left this place for sure in my whole family was impressed by all of it. This place was nice for sure. I will be back.

Ask to sit in Ashley's section for great service!!!!

On 16 May 2026, my friends and I enjoyed brunch at Hen Quarter Prime. The brunch starts at $45 per person. We upscaled by adding the seafood and endless mimosas packet. Our server Ashley kept our glasses and plates full with mimosas, crab legs and shrimp. The buffet included omelets, waffles, bacon, sausage, chicken, grits, greens, salad, mac&cheese etc. Ummmm If you've never been, and you want great attentive service, delicious food, and inviting ambiance do brunch at Hen Quarter Prime. Our server Ashley made our experience at Hen Quarter Prime special! Thanks Ashley

When everyone who just dined at this restaurant, asks each other, "how does this place stay in business?" when offering such a good deal for all you can eat crab legs and all you can drink. You know it was a solid meal and the experience was excellent! We had a special occasion, and we all came out for all you can eat crab legs. All you can eat cornbread and all you can drink. The alcoholic beverages were limited to Jim beam old-fashioned, red or white sangria, and a limited draft beer select selection. For all you can drink, you would usually expect a water down lower quality beverage, however, that was not the case. The old-fashioned were very well made. The red sangria was decadent and not overly sweet. And the draft beer was a good old draft beer. Caroline was our server. She was absolutely excellent. She was attentive, polite patient with us. Always making sure we were all taken care of. She helped make our meal even better. The decor of this restaurant is very high class. Visually it's very well, appointed with table, linens, cloth, napkins, and cohesive color scheme. With the decor, high-quality drinks and the high-quality food we were more than happy to pay the $70 for all you can eat and drink. I highly recommend this place. I have to make sure to come back sooner than later.

I visited for the Mother's Day brunch, and I'll start by saying the atmosphere was beautiful. I loved the decor, the music playing, and the hostess stand was warm and friendly. Unfortunately, that's where the experience started to go downhill. The food itself was good, but the service from Jordan honestly put a damper on the afternoon. On such a busy holiday, I understand things can get hectic, but we constantly had to ask for basic things like water and for our dirty dishes to be cleared, and the service was extremely slow and inattentive. I ordered pancakes from the menu. I waited nearly 30 minutes for pancakes because certain menu items apparently had to be ordered separately. And I had to ask about them twice. He keep blaming the kitchen, but I honestly think that it was him. To make matters worse, Jordan spilled water on my daughter's food and on the floor. His shirt was also visibly dirty with food and water stains on the front, which was not the most professional appearance. From where we were seated, we could also see him taking several breaks while the restaurant was busy. I didn't want to complain in the moment because my children planned this outing for me, and I didn't want to put a damper on the afternoon. But for me, service really makes or breaks a restaurant experience. And respectfully, some people are meant to be servers and some people are not. Serving may just not be Jordan's strength. He seemed overwhelmed, extremely slow, and honestly confused for most of our visit. And they were adding 20% gratuity automatically. He did not deserve 20% AT all! He soured my Mother's Day experience which was truly unfortunate. The food and ambiance were there -- the service unfortunately was not. A different server would have made this a five star experience.

Let's start with the good, the ambience is super cute, pink decor, I love, and great views and location; service is pretty good- we sat at the bar- however I hate to give this place a subpar review but a real foodie has to come thru and give you the real...the fried chicken was a no it was dry and tasted old. The Brussel sprouts were delicious we got them without pork, super delicious and flavorful. The oysters Rockefeller was really good as well as the steak and fries. Collard greens were flavorless. The fried green tomatoes were bland, just tasted straight cornmeal not a lick of seasoning: the deviled eggs were pretty good as well, also got those without the bacon and enjoyed them. The black eyed peas were decent as well. Lastly, the cornbread was good it tasted like cake. Overall I guess people come here for the specials like the unlimited $69 crab legs. Would I come back maybe but it's definitely not at the top of my list.

One of the only restaurants in this particular area so we visited for happy hour. Very nicely decorated inside and it seems quite spacious- I need to come back for their brunch. I got the smash burger which came out at the wrong temp at first but was quickly remedied. I cannot remember what I had to drink but it was delicious. A pricier happy hour. The waiter was very pleasant.

All you can eat crab legs. Service was ridiculously slow even though the restaurant was empty. Crab legs were overcooked. The shells were like rubber making them impossible to open. Not recommended

I went to Hen Quarter to celebrate my birthday. They staff were welcoming (Kiki and our server B was great!) I loved their weekly deals and they tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend the steak and old bay wings!

I'd only been to Hen Quarter in Old Town for brunch, so I wasn't sure what to expect here but this location did not disappoint. A few friends and I came for happy hour on a Thursday and were pleasantly surprised to find a bottomless snow crab legs + cocktails deal for $69. Absolute steal. Pro tip: come hungry, because they keep the crabs coming out hot and fresh. Our waiter was friendly and efficient, making sure everything flowed smoothly. We added a few sides: cornbread, fries, mushrooms, and collards... all solid. The drink options were great, too: beer, mimosas, sangria, house champagne, and even a Jim Beam Old Fashioned, which you could mix and match throughout the night. The space itself is huge, which makes it great for groups. The only downside is parking if there's a Nats game (like the night we went), be prepared for limited or pricey options. Bonus: they had live music, and when I say the band and lead singer put on a show, they had the whole place moving. By the time we left at 9:30, people were up dancing and singing along. The lead singer was giving birthday shoutouts to those celebrating. All around, a fun night and definitely worth it.

We came here for their Wednesday night special with a few friends. For $40 as of June 16 2025 you can get bottomless wings and an old fashioned. Nothing can be substituted everything comes as is. They had 3 sauces one went two dry rubs and everything was great. They bring you 20 wings to start then 10 and 10 until you can't eat anymore. Best to come On an empty stomach. Our waiter I believe her name may start with a J she was amazing. Very attentive checked in on us refilled everything so quickly while waiting on several other tables. The food always came out hot. The resturant itself is beautiful there is an indoor and outdoor area and a decent sized bar area. This resturant is also right by the water and the outdoor seating is covered. The fries were so good and salad was perfect not too much dressing everything was balanced perfectly. I will definitely be back

They make for a great appetizer to share with a group of 2-4 people or a perfect small meal if you're not looking for something heavy. Highly recommend giving them a try. Espresso Express - This is an interesting and creative take on an espresso martini. Instead of vodka, they use reposado tequila, which adds a richer and more complex flavor profile. The result is an outstanding cocktail and probably one of the top five espresso-based drinks I've ever had. Without question, this was the highlight of the meal for me. Busy - We arrived around 6:00 PM on a Saturday night during the summer and were pleasantly surprised to walk in and find seating for our group of eight. The restaurant was bustling with people coming and going throughout the evening, but the space is much larger than it appears from the outside, allowing it to handle the crowd well. Pro Tip: If you're on a date or hoping for an easier conversation, ask for seating in the side dining area. It is noticeably quieter than the main dining room and outdoor seating areas. Pro Tip: Don't judge the size of the restaurant from the exterior. The inside is surprisingly spacious and can accommodate larger groups better than you might expect.

The atmosphere is extremely vibrant and filled with positive energy ( I came in for a takeout order and ended up staying for over two hours... ) I had the honey hot sauce Salmon bites... and I would call them mini bites of perfection ( absolutely delicious ) seasoned just right and the HH serving definitely outshines its $8 tab... I also ordered the 1/2 chicken with seafood fried rice and cabbage ( that's for dinner.. but I couldn't wait to put the spot light on their super live HH ! ) The customer service is cool ( they can seem a little overwhelmed at times ) shoutout to Tae the bartender for doing an amazing job at keeping everyone happy and grooving ( Hennessy side-car was no less than an 8 1/2 ) And I want to give BIG props to the manager ( Kelvin I believe his name is ) he went above and beyond to ensure that every soul in his restaurant was pleased and took care of on a high level from beginning to end... definitely should be up for restaurant manager of the year !!! FYI: Now, my biggest gripe ( and what had me close to putting 3-stars... but the Vibe kept it at 4-stars ) was the fact that I ordered a dozen of raw oysters and they served them on a plate ( not on ice ) the oysters were warm, which made them stick to the shell entirely too much. Kelvin, one word of advice... no high end or reputable establishment ever serves their oysters on a ice less plate ( NEVER ) I know you'll correct that in the very near future... Miss Toya's is too on point not to invest into official oyster treys !!! Definitely going back real soon for HH again...

Me and my sister came here for the first time, I got it confused with Miss Shirley's but still wanted to check it out. Simple set up but a welcoming staff. There was a live jazz 2 man band which was very fitting. Denise was our waitress and was very nice, attentive and informing. After the oysters, I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta. I did not care for it at all, the shrimp was full of seasoning but not the pasta itself. It was like it was thrown on top of the sauce and everything was just mixed in lightly. My sister ordered the shrimp and grits that looked so oily when it came out, we asked Denise if they could make less oily. It was just returned within 2-3 minutes with more oil we just asked for it to be taken back. My sister ended with the chicken and waffles. I honestly will never understand that concept but she liked it. We also ordered the spinach dip and it tasted so bland. We also got the charbroiled oysters,we didn't like the cheese on it. I'm use to briny or spicy type of charbroiled. I don't think it's worth the $55 bottomless food unless you are super hungry and can eat for awhile. We didn't do the bottomless drinks but for $25 that's not bad at all.

This was my first visit to Kitchen Savages. I had tried walking in without a reservation once before on a Saturday evening, and there were no seats available. So my first recommendation would definitely be to make sure you make/have a reservation because they do get busy (understandably so)!! Overall our brunch experience was good! I started off with the Mimosa Sampler for my drink order; I wanted to try the different flavours that were on offer. These were nice, but I'd hoped the presentation would have been a little better and the mimosas not as heavy with the juices. The food was great! Super tasty and packed with flavour. My husband had the Peach Cobbler French Toast and I ordered the 'Create-Your-Own' pasta. I requested it with salmon, shrimp and spinach, but it only came with the shrimp and spinach. Such a shame, because I can imagine the salmon would have made the dish EVEN better. When the bill came, it had the salmon (which I never got) listed on it - after pointing this out, the server checked with the kitchen, and kindly removed it from the bill. Overall, I would say that we really enjoyed brunch here. I will definitely be back in the future to try the main dinner menu & hopefully there'll be no mixups with what I order and what I get .
