Impeccable hearing, I'd say, because it was loud in there. I ordered an IPA with fish and chips. He gave me a number, which I was grateful for to ensure they'd find me outside. I sat outside with my fiancé, and we enjoyed our time people watching. Although they were extremely busy, our food came out within 10 - 15 minutes. The fish was very good; it was crispy and flaky. Their fries were okay, and just a tad bit soggy, probably due to the temperature of the fish. My IPA was cold and good. It's your typical pub and food, but great experience to those visiting. I'll probably be back again if I happen to be back for another concert.

The bar forgot to make some shots we ordered but it was no problem taking them off the tab at the end of the night, if we really wanted the shots we probably could have reminded the staff but we were more focused on the game. One small piece of feedback was that there were 2 games going on an 5/6 screens were 1 of the games. We asked if the one near us could be changed to the other game and got conflicting information from two staff if they could do it. Rich is anti-dog. We are outdoor dining during Covid and helping to keep small businesses alive. We have my friend's dog relaxed and laying beside the table on the ground and her other 3 pound dog on her lap laying down sleeping. Rich comes outside and ignores the pitbull mastiff sitting on the ground with his slobbery face on the human eating table and says to my friend "put your dog on the ground." There is no health violation for having a small dog on a lap outdoors but I am sure there is a health violation for a large breed dog sitting on the floor but resting a slobber face on an outdoor dining table. Maybe he's a woman hater? Maybe he's having a bad day? Heard from another table of guests outside that Rich is some words I cannot say here but they made it sound like he is regularly like this. Bummer for pet owners. I know Hennesseys is pet friendly but Rich needs to get on board. We did absolutely nothing wrong according to any health department standards. If I ever see Rich here again I will gladly take my biz elsewhere to Rebel. read more

Yes, it's overpriced, but if you're looking for a great deal then go to happy hour at Sharkeez. I was in here tonight and every table was full with people sitting around having drinks and TALKING. Crazy that you can still go to a bar, have a beer, and hear what the person across the table from you is saying. Although I do hold a grudge because they got rid of Bud Light on tap, it's still the best place in the area. It's hit or miss with the servers, but isn't that the case everywhere? I've been here a few times in the last month and I don't remember all their names, but there is a cute blonde who has worked here for a few years and the best waitress BY FAR is Katy. I haven't been to Hennessy's in a while, so I decided to check out their Riviera location for their Tuesday buy-one-get-one-free burger deal. We ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger and the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger, both of which came with fries. While the burgers were still decent, they seemed smaller and more expensive than I remembered. Additionally, the bun fell apart easily, which was disappointing. However, considering the buy-one-get-one-free deal on Tuesdays, it's still worth a visit. read more

Whether you're a craft beer veteran or someone trying something new, they make you feel welcome and are always happy to offer recommendations. The food deserves recognition as well. I've tried a variety of menu items over multiple visits and haven't been disappointed. In fact, I'm genuinely surprised when I see complaints about the food on Yelp. It's good bar food done right, not a gourmet restaurant pretending to be something it's not. Needless to say, I'll be back. Actually, I already have been--many times. It was 30 minutes till closing and they turned them away. I don't know if this is an on going situation but it needs to be addressed. the business is losing money anytime they turn away a patron and I'm sure they don't want a reputation for being discriminatory as it is there's not a lot of diversity In the establishment. The picture of the Bartender in previous post says it all UPDATE I just read Leslie B's review and they were served after 1:30 so this is about their prejudice against gay people, I was right it's so shameful. My salmon was cooked perfectly and was clearly fresh, my boyfriend said his ribeye was cooked to perfection and my daughter loved her pizza, of course. We also got some of the shrimp tostadas for snack, the shrimp was very fresh and cooked well. For dessert we had the cheesecake and the key lime tart. The cheesecake was excellent with a nice fluffy texture. The tart however was alright but needed a lot more key lime punch and it was basically frozen. Overall great experience and wonderful food. Definitely recommend if you're staying in Redondo Beach.

Just a place to kill time while my iPhone and watch clawed back to life. The bar was empty, except for the bartender, quietly gliding between folding towels and polishing glassware like it was ritual. I'd missed breakfast, so the plan had to shift. The Turkey Club caught my eye--classic, no fuss. I ordered it, skipping the tomato and avocado, and added a side Caesar for balance. Simple, solid, exactly right for that in-between kind of afternoon. Later that evening, I came back to pregame--needed something to smooth the edges. I was headed into a house full of strangers, stepping into a holiday tradition I barely understood. Tito's and tonic felt like exactly what the doctor would've prescribed--crisp, clean, just the right amount of courage in a glass. The pour was generous, and before long, I felt the lock in my head click open. Wit, charm, one-liners--I could feel the entertainer in me stirring, ready to trade in the quiet for something electric. The bartender--sharp-eyed and perceptive--caught the thirst in me and asked if I was ready for another. I didn't hesitate, even knowing happy hour was just a concept, not a deal. His delivery of the bad news was so dry, so perfectly timed, I laughed and handed over my card without blinking. Sometimes, a good drink and a better exchange are worth the markup.
