So I ate here a few weeks ago but am just now getting around to my review. Came here a little before 9 AM on a Sunday...anytime later on a weekend at most good breakfast spots & you'll be faced with a wait. I hate waiting to eat! Seated right away, water & coffee delivered quickly while I decided what I wanted. Ordered eggs and burger patty with hash browns & sourdough toast. Food came out in about 5 - 8 minutes (so hey, I didn't run the stopwatch on on my phone) & was delicious! The burger was cooked just right at my requested medium-rare, hash browns had a crispy crust with a soft inner layer, the eggs were perfectly done over easy & the sourdough was toasted just right! I ate about a 3rd & had 2 more breakfast meals left over. Breakfast was really good, the staff was friendly & if you're so inclined, you can partake in the California Lottery. I bought a scratcher & won $2. If I plan to meet friends in CP again for breakfast, I'll definitely go back! read more

We love Henri's ! Great Bloody Mary's great food , good service.. we also like to play keno. However the last time we were there my sausage links looked they were deep fried like charcoal brickets and the restrooms smelled.. the place felt dirty. Needs a good cleaning and a paint job. read more

We are frequent Customers. Just there on Valentine's Day when unfortunately another customer was so rude to the staff and so loud that the entire room ask her to leave. Dawn handled it very well. Polite and tried to solve the problem. On another note I would give it a higher rating but the booths are in really bad condition. And they've lost the entertainment. read more

Thursday night Jazz Band, pie a la mode, martinis with three fat olives and so much more laid back than Caseys Tavern. Service is chill, not on it, so if you are super picky about service this place isn't for you. Hope the jazz band catches on. The only other place to enjoy live Jazz in the valley on Thursday is Caseys and that place has too many stupid ass rules. Come to Henris instead on Thursday Night. No joke. read more

Came for a breakfast sunday late morning. We had a group of 8 people, and were seated shortly. I have been here many a times over the years. I hadn't been there in about a year or two, so I was concerned if anything changed. Food was excellent as always. I got one of their specials instead of "country boys" Service was great. Everyone was happy with the food. I will continue to come for breakfast (hopefully more often) I have not had lunch or dinner, so can't comment on that. I absolutely love eating here. They have a small parking lot behind the restaurant that's free, if that's full they also have meter parking located behind that lot. The customer service is always friendly and very helpful. What I love is that the food is good and a good price! My husband and I normally come here for breakfast and we normally split the country boy, which is saying a lot because my husband never splits! Had the strangest craving for pancakes with strawberries and cream, so I found this place on Yelp and ordered a stack to go. The woman who took my order was really nice and even said she'd wait till I arrived to add the whipped cream so it wouldn't melt! I picked up the order on my break and she added the whipped cream as promised. The order was like $6 but the pancakes were huge and the strawberries were fresh not the fake syrupy time, which I really appreciate. We moved to Louisiana 6 years ago. Was home for a visit and had breakfast on Fathers Day!! The Eggs Benedict was just as I remembered. The holindaise is butter/lemon delicious!! We also had the 2x2x2x2x2 and a Burger which was packed full off juiciest goodness, French toast and pancake always fluffy and hot. There are diners and then there are institutions. Henri's is an institution in the valley that I only recently got introduced to. It's clear how they stay in business and even amass a crowd on weekdays: consistent, home made, quality and attention to detail. Their club sandwich has thick slices of home roasted turkey, bread is perfectly toasted, bacon crisp. Their tortillas taste freshly made and are thick, not wimpy. Home fries "well done" have perfect crunch. In fact there's nothing wimpy about this place, not even the sturdy waitresses who have been here forever or the plates which are beautiful and look like they've served up thousands of meals. My wife has been coming here since she was a kid with her grandparents, and she echoes this sense of loyalty and nostalgia that this place conjures up. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places in Canoga Park for the past 15 yrs or so, I hate to say this but I wont be going back until they clean this place up, its turned into a real pig sty, We ate there yesterday. The floors need to be replaced they are greasy and gross, the walls are in dire need of a paint job, also greasy and gross, and the bathrooms are as disgusting as a public out house, I almost barfed and actually should have walked out from there... Randomly found this gem while killing some time before catching a show at the Madrid Theatre across the street. My daughters and I instantly fell in love with charm of this diner. The food was phenomenal, we had breakfast for dinner and everything was perfect! The service was fast and our waiter was so friendly! This place is a Canoga Park classic! One of the businesses that have been here since i was born in the valley, their classic and home style foods really taste like a home made plate ! Lots of different options with breakfast, lunch, and even dinner. Chocolate milkshakes are an all time favorite, if your looking for a little bit of everything for breakfast try the 2x2x2x2x. An old-school general restaurant. Unfortunately they do not have a website. The food is very good...I highly recommend the Chicken Fried Steak, although they only sell the big CFS on Saturdays. A casual diner with a home town family spirit. When you first see the storefront of Henri's you don't expect too much. The exterior is simple and matches the mute outer facades to the rest of the block. Upon entry the host smiles and shows you to any seat you desire. I haven't heard them ever say, "You can't sit there, that section is closed." Eeer, really? Almost all booth seating, for me, makes it hard to get a bad seat. I enjoy their 70's diner look with a touch of grandma's kitchen. It just touches my childhood. Always on the ball, the tables are always cleaned quick and await the next customer. From salads to hot turkey sandwich Henri's is comfort food that warms the heart. Young, old, angry cat and phickled alike Henri's will be worth visiting. Give 'em a shot. read more

Tired of chain restaurants? Want a nice family owned restaurant to go to where food is hearty and worth every penny? Go to Henri's. American comfort food, amazing breakfast, quantity that is sure to get even the hungriest full, it's all here. Parking is probably the most annoying since there is very few spots behind the restaurant so if you can't find a spot there, you'll have to do paid parking or street parking. This place will also do catering and like their restaurant, the quantity of food is very generous for what they charge. I've had them cater my business meeting a few times and everyone was very happy with the quality of food. Some have even said the catered food was better than "a typical restaurant" and that comment made me happy I chose Henri's. Anyway, I love this place and wish I had more money so I can eat here more often. read more

Ok breakfast in the valley is getting out of hand. Almost $50.00 for two breakfasts and two drinks at Cicis and Brents deli is not far behind. At Henris we got two breakfasts and two drinks for closer to $30.00 And I had a bloody Maria!! My breakfast was the heuvos ranchero and was delicious. Bloody Maria was so good I had to have another. Don't care for the parking but would rather put up with that than over pay for what has to be the cheapest meal cost wise for any restaurant. Cmon how much does an egg cost. HA!
