Tucked away in the middle of Savannah, this gem really stands out. We were just looking for a…read morecouple of late apps and hit the jackpot finding Zunzi's. Outside seating space was perfect, with a slight breeze. Noise level low as it's not on a busy street, we enjoyed a peaceful time. Menu is simple but packed with goodies: we had the Smashed Avocado with chips and a dozen wings, Pari Pari was sort of Smokey buffalo and Dank, hard to describe but great taste. Zunzi's reputation is outstanding in Savannah. It has even been featured on Food Network. Lots of…read morefanfare raises the bar of expectations. I have eaten here a few times and was not wow'd. Perhaps the bar was set too high to live up to. Their famous sandwhich is the CONQUISTADOR. Featuring chicken with their special sauce. It is not cravevable to me. Today I tried the GODFATHER. I think it may be the CONQUISTADOR with sausage added to it. I find their bread hoagies to be a little dry. It could be much improved if the bread was fresh. The fries are really good. I am thinking that a side of the special sauce for the sandwich would make a great fry dip! Service was really slow today. Drink orders took forever. The two people in our group that ordered a poke bowl were served last when everyone else was about done. You don't have to cook raw fish and vegetables so not sure what happened. They didn't charge for the poke bowls due to the long wait, which was fair. This is an outdoor seating venue, but they have tent covers and an outdoor TV to watch sports games. I enjoy the atmosphere.
