Super fun concept for a quick service restaurant! Spudnik is located at the end of Broughton Street, so it's a little bit outside of the super busy areas. The restaurant is very small with only a few booths and some stools, so I wouldn't come here with a large group unless you're taking your potatoes to-go. You order at the counter in the back and then find somewhere to sit or wait. There was one employee working the whole place when I visited, and they did a great job cranking out potatoes and taking orders! The menu is all loaded twice baked potatoes. They have some really interesting flavor combinations. There's vegetarian/vegan options too. The Bufftato was super tasty! I would never have thought to put crushed up tortilla chips on a baked potato, but it works! The portions are pretty large and filling! This is a great place to grab a quick lunch to fuel your shopping and sightseeing on a trip to Savannah! read more

We were greeted upon entry! We ordered and paid at the counter. The staff were very helpful with offering suggestions and giving us time to order! The space is quaint and cozy! I ordered The BBQ Porktato: Bbq pork, sour cream, crushed tortilla chips and my friend ordered The Monterray : Grilled chicken, salsa, sour cream, black olives, jalapeños, tortilla chips. I didnt take long and the potatoes were good! We enjoyed them and I would definitely return! read more

So a group of us were out on a Friday night and decided we were hungry at about ten o'clock. One of us remembered there was a potato place near by. None of us had been there but it sounded interesting. This place is super cute. It's small With three booths and four stools towards the front along a counter. But the potatoes are serviced in a paper bowl with a plastic spoon kind of like a bowl of ice cream so you could literally walk down the street and eat your potato. They have so many fun varieties. I wasn't in an adventurous mood so I just got a potato with cheese and butter. It was so good. We all loved our meals. And the prices are amazing. You can get a dish for 9-11 dollars. They also service alcohol which is fun. We will be back for sure! . read more

We were looking for something open late after a concert. This place is open until 2 am. No one wa in at 11pm except the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure that a baked potato would taste fresh that late....it was so fresh and moist. I had the monterey (nachos in a potato) just the right amount of jalapeño and sour cream. Very tasty. Price is very reasonable. Definitely check this place out if you ate in downtown Savannah. read more

Was pleasantly surprised when we stumbled upon this place around 1:30 am on Halloween. It was crowded and we were told orders were taking 20 mins up front and I'm glad we stayed and waited cause it was worth it! I got the classic which was a baked potato loaded with cheddar, sour cream, green onion and bacon. Delish! The store is small inside with very limited seating so I would plan on taking it to go. read more

To be brief, this was genuinely one of the most surprisingly good places I've been to. The food was amazing, and we got it after taking to a singular server, who was incredibly kind, patient and helpful! The atmosphere was also great, and the place was really kid friendly. SCAD posters are hung on one side of the wall, while the other wall was covered entirely by sticky-notes, which you're allowed to add to while you're waiting. Overall, this place is great! I'd definitely come again! read more

At the far west end of Broughton is this small counter-service place specializing in potato entrees. Very simple and basic, reminds me of a fast serve place near college campuses. Good value for yummy savory potato meals. Think many iterations of stuffed potatoes. But can get a good filling meal for about $11. Better a takeout place than sitdown. read more

It's potatoes and I had not had an actual potato in a while. We ordered the mexican inspired potato, it was seasoned to perfection with all the toppings. The service was great. The place is definitely underrated. One of the best places my husband and I ate at in Savannah. From their very friendly and patient staff to their tasty spud bowls, I cannot recommend this place enough. You can pick between a sweet potato or white potato for your base (no skin. Just the good stuff). Then, you can choose from a list of their combinations or mix and match for a more personalized bowl. I opted for their black bean, feta and sour cream toppings on a white potato with their Mediterranean oil blend. My husband ordered their buffalo chicken bowl. We highly suggest eating both of those together! The pairing was delicious. read more

I wanted to love it. Everyone told me I would love it. I was craving some comfort food and I love chicken and potatoes. I got the chicken balsamic and russet potatoes and the chicken was so dry it was disappointing :( it was in little pieces, hard and bone dry. Tried to come here around 10 pm when there posted closing time was 3am. On the entrance there was a posted note saying "closed early Bcuz y'all have class tomorrow!" Super unprofessional honestly just shocked a buisness is capable of staying open while running such a P****pour ship. Very disappointed literally couldn't wait to try this spot now I have zero interest in trying it even if they were open. read more

OMG this place is awesome! Baked potatoes smashed together in a bowl with your choice of gourmet ingredients. The Pizza-Tato seems to be the most popular, but I went with "The Rustic", basalmic glaze mashed with black beans and green onions. My only complaint, and it's not really a complaint, is that these are TOO filling! They only offer one size, and none of us were able to finish! Fun fact: all options are gluten-free. And it's easy to go vegetarian here, too. Fun fact 2: the vintage robot toy holding the menu board has a twin just up the street at the Planet Fun vintage toy store (another of my favorite Savannah shops). read more

Just happened to walk upon this little place and really enjoyed it. So much so I broke my number one rule when out of town. Don't go to the same place more than once. Went back the next night for dinner. I had the Monterey and the rustic added grilled chicken each night. There was only one guy working and he was very nice and friendly. The inside is small so you may have to wait for a sit but it is a quaint little place. read more

A potato restaurant? Are you kidding me???! It was so good and delicious!! It's a smaller restaurant, a tiny little sliver so there might not be too much seating, but the food was great. They had such good options, something for everyone!! The service was decent. I will say the only reason they didn't get 5 is because the person before me ordered the same thing as me except without any toppings and when the server came to give me my order they just asked me if I had the classic, but didn't say anything about the toppings. So I was eating it and was like, "Weird. I thought this had toppings." The server then came to give my order to the other person and that's when we realized they gave us each other's orders. They obviously replaced the other person's, but didn't offer to replace mine or even to just give me a tiny cup of toppings to add to it. read more

Absolutely a delicious saving grace of an establishment for the celiac prone. The owner and staff here are extremely knowledgeable about their gluten free options. It's a cool looking spot downtown with fresh made-to-order meals. Don't be fooled: it's a potato bowl that eats like a meal. I recommend the Monterey (and add the fried egg!) read more

Finally got in to try Spudnik and was not disappointed. My husband, son and I had been wandering downtown and just enjoying the day and chose to stop in here. The prices are very reasonable and the bowl is very filling. The gentleman behind the counter made recommendations and showed us approximately how big the portions would be. I ordered the Monterey, which was a potato topped with cheese, chicken, sour cream, jalapeños, salsa, and tortilla chip pieces. My hubby was starving so he ordered the bufftato which is a potato topped with chicken, cheese, buffalo sauce and ranch, and the Sunrise which is a potato topped with cheese, sour cream, a fried egg and chives. My oldest ordered the Bufftato as well. Everything was delicious and the portions were great, it was very filling and a great twist on a comfort food. We will definitely be back! read more

Solid bowls, small place. Build your own off menu! Yes, a restaurant centered on potatoes. They have lots of pre-set bowls but they are ready to customize with their add-on menu. I ordered the Porktato, without the tortilla chips but add jalapeños. The pulled pork on top with lots of potato underneath was a great portion for a small dinner. Sadly no potato peel base in the bowl like when I came a couple of years ago! I how they bring those back. The place was nearly empty so it only took about 5 minutes to come out. With the small booths inside and one outside table, this is more of a to-go place. They would be great for a food truck in Starland Yard or elsewhere. Next time: Someone ordered a build your own type bowl after me. It's not listed on the boards behind the counter, but I'll be trying that next time. read more

The cutest little place!! The fact that this place is open till 3am was an immediate sell as i went here for a really late snack around 10pm. The service was super quick like fast food but I ended up sitting inside and it was perfect. I got the classic and it was AMAZING. piping hot and loaded with toppings... when i eat a baked potato there is never enough toppings for potato and i was sour cream, cheese and bacon with every bite. Spud did thattttt. Tons of toppings and only $10 bucks for a huge portion. 10/10 need to go back already !!! read more

The potato on the bottom was good. The herbs and seasonings made it. I had asked for jalapeños on top. No where to be found. The balsamic glaze was good but the chicken was somewhat cold. Perfect late night snack for the bar hopper or overworked college kid (like myself). I always get the Bufftato and if I'm feeling frisky, a fried egg on top. Every person I have try it agrees it's one of the best menu items. Like any late night joint the service is going to be spotty depending on when you go and sometimes they run out of ingredients (once they literally had no potatoes at 2 am) but my craving of late night potatoes outweigh all of that. Recommend after your done bar hopping around Broughton. read more

Online I ordered the bacon bowl with an extra egg & a Deluxe Salad around 8:45 on a Sat night. Needless to say this crew was busy & the streets were very busy so no parking in sight. I had requested curbside drop off for this reason. Once I got a nice fella to answer the phone he made it his mission to get my order to my car ASAP. It all worked out perfectly. Total was $21.47 (including 20% tip & taxes). I was impressed with the size of these bowls! All ingredients are very fresh. I'd like to be able to make suggestions like "lite cheese & sour cream" because there was tooooo much cheese & I'm a cheese Lov'n maniac normally. I'll probably be ordering once a week lol! After bar hopping, this was the perfect place to go! Great food! However, the guy that was working there was incredibly rude. No one in the place was rowdy, obnoxious or mean but the guy was just completely rude. He was dismissive and short and gave everyone an attitude. I wouldn't go back just because of him. read more

Love this place. I've been here before but at the time I wasn't really craving potatoes so I just ate off of what my partner at the time had. But yesterday I was craving a sweet potato and didn't really feel like cooking it myself so I remembered that this place offered loaded potatoes. It's a small restaurant with a very chilly and homey vibe. The person at the front was super nice and helpful recommending different things to try. Since I post surgery my stomach can't really handle entirely way to much so I decided to go with something simple. I got the Savory sweet potato. And my tastebuds were definitely happy. And the most important part was that it didn't hurt my stomach what so ever. I definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting a baked potato with a twist. read more

A new, clean, and original restaurant, Spudnik offers amazing potato recipes. Created by a SCAD architecture alum, Spudnik was designed from the ground up to be a sustainable fast food brand. To that end, the restaurant was built with several Green features, including use of recycled materials in the floors, counters, and booths, eco friendly lighting, and VOC free paints.

I had to borrow my husbands spoon to get every bit of that sauce after I finished my mussels. My husband had the famous shrimp and grits which he absolutely loved. He noted it wasn't overpowered with sausage like most other restaurants do but had a perfect balance of flavor. My mom got the lamb burger and also loved every bite. She loved lamb so as soon as she saw that she had no doubt what she was going to order. Both my husband and mom loved every bite. I can see why The Public Kitchen is so popular. The restaurant has some indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of tables and banquets along the walls. It was comfortable without being too crowded.
