It's kinda like when you go to a family's house and they're busy making sure all the food and drinks have enough love, so you gotta wait for them to do their thang and just quietly enjoy the process. The owner is suuuper kind and greets you as you enter and you can tell he really cares about his customers. He will let you know if he's busy and around how long to wait. I just gotta hand it to the owner, it sounds like he has a lot of regulars who come in for dosa, lentils, and chai. It smelled good every time he made some dosa! Masala chai: got mine with oat milk (he has to brew a new batch if you want a different milk), he usually uses half and half I believe for his chai. Love the spices! I like my chai pretty spicy and this is really good. She did let us know that there is a Mexican restaurant on the other end that had rice and beans and we thanked her then left. The store itself was very clean and there was plenty of space to browse around but it is a bit cramped. The meats here looked very fresh and the prices were very fair too! I was thinking that we should probably get some snacks and decided to pick up tortilla chips, fresh made guac, and 1/2lb of chicharron which ended up being $20.20 and that seemed like such a great deal especially with how much chicharron we got and it was so delicious! My brother told me that chicharron is usually eaten with guac and their guac here was fantastic both with the chicharron, chips and on its own. My boyfriend wants to come back to get more options, he saw that they did a specific specialty for a good price and wants to try that out.

My favorite was probably the pandan and original just because they were more balanced. The banana chocolate and the cocoa nibs were a little too sweet for me and the savory one just had too much blue cheese (I'm not a fan of blue cheese). I was in Seattle for a few days and looked for locally raised wagyu and found LJ Meats on Yelp. I…read morecalled them up and was able to reserve a full blooded US raised Wagyu tri-tip. I went there to pick it up and ended up with a 5.5lb flat iron roast also. It's a pain to trim down the flat iron, but so worth it. As much as I love Japanese beef, I find A5 to be overwhelming. I prefer crossbred wagyu because the marbling is there, but not as excessive as eating a stick of butter. This full blooded US raised wagyu is definitely "eatable". I'd say the grade of what I got was--definitely more than A2, probably A3 or more. Definitely enjoyable as a whole steak. I definitely will come back to this butcher shop when the next time I'm in town.
