Cassie was a very thorough and sweet director. They do really work well with the families. If you are in a situation where you have children and maybe do not want to bring them in for the viewing or eulogy....They have a nice area to the right with a large fish tank and books with seating for kids. Nothing but good to say, but if they do read these reviews they really need to fox their sound system as it was cutting out a bit intermittently. Also the song family requested to be played we could sing to was a bit too low. Under the circumstances we wouldn't want it super loud, but again way too low. read more

Carl Lilagore, may he rest in peace, was certainly special to Karen as she turned out to be a lovely lady and was certainly a dear friend back in those days. I can't help but praise the amazing speaker, David, from Hospice of the Valley. We just had my mother's funeral service here. The attendant, Tiffany, was on the phone during the service. During the service she was not attentive. We had issues with all the technology. The microphone was not on for the eulogy. We had to go find her to turn it on. She told us to wait a few minutes because she was on the phone with a potential client. Then the TV didn't work and our video was not able to be played. Then the Poems were played in the wrong order. It was a disaster. If you are looking to honor a loved one with a beautiful and easy service this is not the place to go. read more

Noelle, our funeral director was incredible,. The entire team at Heritage handled my father's funeral/graveside service beautifully. They took care of all the details including getting a copy of my fathers DD214 which we could not find, and handling the minor and major details including coordinating military honors, flag folding & presentation and taps. It was such a relief and they were extremely compassionate and professional. I can't say enough about the experience. I had contacted them about 4 months or so prior to my father's death whereby they took the time to tell me step by step what would happen and when the time came, it all was like clockwork, just what you expect and need from a funeral home. I would never trust a loved one with these people! I do a lot of work with law enforcement and I watched the tan astro minivan fly down grand avenue at over 90. I have emergency lights on my vehicle and even with me behind her, she simply sped up. I called the main number to complain about the unsafe driver and I am pretty sure the driver answered. She just didn't realize I was beside her when I called and was reading the van info to her. The response was simply, oh ok... really? If you don't care about your image or actions in a company vehicle, I would never expect them to care about my loved ones. Funny thing is after she hung up, she drove faster! I finally stopped following her to get home but she flew on by. Just something for consumers to decide for themselves I suppose. read more

We had 3 family members pass away within the past year and we utilized the services of Heritage Funeral Chapel for each service. Chris was our director for each and he is so kind, compassionate, professional and he was so patient especially when dealing with one of our very difficult family members. My experience with Heritage has more to do with the business of dying than the company itself. When my aunt passed away Heritage was recommended as a place that would treat us well. Well it comes at a price. We paid over $4,000 in "professional services". This means they drove 5 miles to pick her up after she passed, held her remains in storage until the funeral (there was no embalming), dressed her for a closed casket and drove her 5 miles to the cemetery for a simple graveside service. We did not have a viewing or any of their memorabilia (program, cards, video, memory book or online obituary). When we asked why we were being charged so much when we were using so few of their services we were told that they have exceptional facilities and that we were free to move her to another funeral home if we were not happy. We would not disrespect her remains by bouncing her around from place to place. This is just my warning to prepare for this service before it is an emergency. And don't be afraid to call around and ask for prices before your loved one passes. Heritage may be right for some people. Make sure you are one of them. We were not and paid the price. Btw - This was not the total bill. Add casket and flowers and we ended up paying over $8,500. My frugal aunt would have been so disappointed in us. read more

My grandfather pre-arranged his funeral services through Heritage, and we are happy he did! Noelle was very helpful and informative of our options. She even liaised with our church's pastor who was being less than nice to her during the process (but that is a different review). The service they helped arrange at the National Memorial Cemetery was beautiful, and Dr. David Greene, the person they asked to perform the service because our church's pastor could not, was simply amazing! It was a difficult time but Heritage made it less difficult, and we are grateful for that. read more

Unfortunately, we lost my mother and father within a year of each other. We had such a good experience with all the staff at Heritage, but with Yanira in particular, that when my dad passed a few months ago, we called on them again. Everything is handled quickly and we didn't have to worry about anything--Yanira handled it all. For my mom, that included a cremation, church service, reception, and all that goes with it. She had my mom transported from the hospital while we were making arrangements so we could see her one last time. She looked so much more peaceful than when we'd seen her in the hospital. My dad died of COVID, which means we weren't allowed in the hospital and had to say goodbye via FaceTime. It was terrible. I didn't think we'd be able to see him as we had with my mom, but Yanira arranged it for us. Through glass, but at least we were able to physically see him. Again, everything was handled efficiently, even more important to us this time because my siblings and I are all out of state. We never had to worry about anything. And, while going through my dad's things, I found a card from Heritage recognizing my mom's first birthday after she passed. And we've received follow-up emails from Elizabeth just checking in to see how we're doing and if we need anything. It's been a horrible year for us, but Heritage made it a little bit easier.
