Herk's plumbing has been my saving grace this week. After having no hot water for a week due to a hot water pipe/slab leak and getting the runaround with my home warranty and the other (awful) plumber they sent me, I decided to just find my own plumber and deal with it myself. Herk responded quickly and was out here to assess the situation in a timely manner. Him and another technician just fixed my leak issue in under two hours and found a way to save me $200. This is such a relief, the other company quoted me ~$4000 and an all day repair, tearing up my whole laundry room, etc. - Herk did all this for $400 with no damage to my laundry room. Our house was built in 1960 with galvanized plumbing, and the pipes were starting to corrode. We hired Herk's to do a complete re-pipe and re-sewer. Herk's worked with us to schedule the work during a week we would be out of town. They did outstanding work and even replaced the drywall themselves, as a subcontractor couldn't do the work before we returned home. Herk Jr. oversaw the project and was very helpful. Called and spoke with Herk due to fact i had recently plugged up the lines in my pool filter. I was aware that this is not a "plumbing" problem per se but thought perhaps they would possess the tools/know how to give it a shot. Herk as expected stated it wasn't typically the sort of call they dealt with however he was willing to come out and take a look. Herk spent a little over an hour and was able to "snake" the lines and clear the debris from the line. GREATLY APPRECIATED and well worth the $$$ spent. Local pool place wanted to refer me to a place that would be using "compressed air" and charge couple of hundred dollars. Definitely will get my "next call" should i have need of a plumber!!! read more

Great service! I woke up to a leak in the water line of my toilet after some shady (more than likely unlicensed) plumber checked out my toilet last night. I've been having issues with flushing and have been needing a new plunger flap (I think that's what they're called). I knew that much, but this guy decided to loosen up some stuff. Needless to say Herk's Plumbing came to the rescue and fixed the leak along with replacing what was needed. I called them first thing this morning. The lady who answered my call was professional. She was able to get someone out to me within 2 hours. The guys who came were also professional. They worked to quickly get my toilet fixed and were clean. Herk himself showed up less than two hours after i called! He asked me to explain what was going on and what if anything i had tried. He then tried to light the pilot light just to confirm, went to his van, the graphics on it are hilarious, brought back a part , thermocoupler, and in about 10 minutes, it was fixed! I'm in Turlock and he's in Modesto. This being the Saturday before Christmas, i was praying not to have to sell my kids presents to pay for hot water.
