The house has plumbing problem. Called Herk's Plumbing. They came out and worked on it the next day. That evening the house was flooded with sewer water. Called The company again, a plumber was sent and took a ball of root from the sewer line that night. Then we were told the sewer line needs to be replaced with multiple thousands of dollars. After the section of sewer line was replaced, the City staff came and found there are still tree roots like a hand with many fingers still in the sewer line within our property line. Called the company again and sent the City's picture, The company has to send plumber again to snake (cut) it out. read more

UPDATE Upon another call to Herks we did get a response. The sons of the owners came and said they would make it right. Dustin and Jr. did!! They filled in the holes, smoothed the mound, corrected the prutruding sewer pipe and had the broken mow strip repaired. Both brothers were cordial & professional. I had a plumbing leak in my cement slab floor. When house was built, the contractor put plumbing in and then poured cement over the plumbing. This makes for a very expensive fix. A homeowner can either jackhammer up the cement and fix the leak or do a bypass to fix the issue permanently. Since this happened to me once before, I went the suggested route my contractor, internet and two plumbing companies recommended, which was to do the bypass. I chose Herk's as they were highly recommended and the quote was much better than the other plumbing company I had spoken to. Called in for a sink issue this time and we were able to have same day service! Manny was our guy this time and called with a 20 minute ETA during our time window came in asked what the problem was and got straight away to fixing the issue. I highly recommend Herk's Plumbing. I was in need of a Plumber to replace my garbage disposal (I don't have the time myself) and Dustin was on time, called before he came, and it wasn't costly. Also, he noticed some things about my sink and made good recommendation's without "taking me to the cleaners" like a lot of businesses do. Dustin was my service tech along with a helper but didnt catch his name. They installed a gas line and switched out my electric stove top to a gas one. They also noticed one of the gas lines that was previously installed was clogged and they switched it out for me. Called them twice since my first service. When the service man used a bucket to catch the waste water, there was a hole and the water went onto my kitchen floor. He asked me if I wanted to keep the dirty rags; I said no, but he left them anyways. He then tried to upsell me another service of changing the fittings on my pipes under the house. The third service asked to clear a toilet drain. They wanted to upsell me adding a cleanout for over 10x the cost of drain cleaning. I declined. I was able to run a snake myself via the roof vent and clear the toilet. There is a rumor that they get a commission on the work done. My first review was on Nick, who has since left the state. Sadly I won't use Herk again. read more

This review is for Herk's Jr. Was very nice and professional on the phone. However, the actual in person experience was not. He gave an approximate quote over the phone with the caveat that pricing could change depending on actual work. I am perfectly fine with that caveat. Once inside our house.... - Was very capricious and inconsistent in conversations; especially around price. I knew going in that I could expect changes in prices and I am fine with that. But what I am not comfortable with is prices changing every few minutes while doing the job. This is after an hour or so of actually being inside the house and him being familiar with the actual work - Left abruptly giving flimsy and trivial reason. - Did not finish the job that was agreed on phone.
