This restaurant was definitely popular, as there was a 45 minute wait when we got there. Sat at the bar and had a drink, we had 2 kids with us, so it took about 10 minutes before the bartender would wait on us. Would have given 4 stars if we received better service in the bar. The table service was prompt, and the pizza was good, probably great for Winter Park area, and the salad we ordered was yummy and fresh! Would go back if we visit again! read more

Love love love! After having a few disappointing dinners in the area I was so happy we came here on our final day of vacation. I know it's pizza but this place is about atmosphere! Aside from pizza we ordered an appetizer of cheese bread, a meatball sub, Stromboli, baked rigatoni, and giant cheese ravioli. Hernando's Pizza never disappoints us. We've been dinning since we were very little it's always a great experience. I've never been to Greece but their greek salad transports me directly to the soft beaches of Santorini. There is a perfect amount of feta while the dressing has an amazing ratio of olive oil to vinegar. 10/10 recommend their Greek salad. As for the pizza the ratio of sauce to cheese is impecable but they fell short on the crust which is why I would give it an 8.5/10. The cheesy bread was crispy but the cheese was a little chewy which is why I would give it an 8.3. Our bill came out to around $80 after 2 large pizzas, a large Greek salad, and cheesy bread. Absolutely Amazing food! Totally worth the wait. Call ahead to help shorten the wait time. We didn't call ahead & they told us it would be 45-60 minutes. It turned out to only be a 25 minute wait. A different kind of pizza. Thick crust that you finish off with honey. I like it (although if you are from Chicago - you will think it is mediocre). I also like the other dishes and the side salads. Long waits during ski season. My kids love this place (and I do too). We are up in WP nearly every other weekend and we always make a stop here. Tip -- Call ahead and get on the wait list or be prepared to wait. We've been here twice now, nearly a year apart. It has been crushed busy both times, so the best advice I'll give you is do call ahead seating. You can call starting 1PM same day. We got lucky with a small party of 3 and only waited 45 minutes or so. Most were told 1.5 hours and some 2+! What's great? Pizza rocks. Choose the thick crust if you want to eat with honey for a dessert. I had half meatball and half Italian sausage sub. Great! Wings and cheesy bread were excellent too. The antipasto was drenched in a salad dressing. It was a lettuce salad with bits of salami, cheese, some hot peppers and loads of dressing. Not what one world expect of an antipasto dish; oh, yeah this is "antipasta". The rigatoni was very good in a spicy meat sauce. The ravioli was under cooked; the waitress offered an exchange but we declined. All in all, not so good, but entertaining. read more

Staying in Winter Park at an Airbnb that is right around the corner from Hernando's. We were getting steak but decided to give this place a try and so glad we did!
