Staying in Winter Park at an Airbnb that is right around the corner from Hernando's. We were getting steak but decided to give this place a try and so glad we did! The pizza came out perfectly cooked, with great toppings and such great crust. I'm not normally a crust person but ate every last bit. The edges were thick and doughy and delicious. This place has excellent pizza. But our waitress was so rude, the one from Australia. When I asked for a straw she told me no and gave me a lecture about saving the turtles. When I asked for new silverware, she acted like I asked her to cut off her right arm. Everything was an attitude. I have never been treated so poorly in a restaurant. Got pick up. Gluten free pizza was decent. Antipasto salad was super small for a single portion, and being Italian I've never had ranch dressing mixed in with it. It's traditionally served with vinaigrette so that was weird. Spaghetti and meatballs came with only two small meatballs and no bread or anything for dipping so also weird for any Italian place I've ever been to. This place is great for the family. Prices are reasonable and the food is oh so tasty. The atmosphere is fun, with dollar bills hanging everywhere. Not too noisy and yet still kid friendly. The service was also fast and friendly, with no wait at 7:00 on a Saturday night. We started with a family size garden green salad, BBQ wings and garlic cheese sticks. The salad was fresh and there was plenty for the five of us. The wings were about mid sized, nicely cooked, and had good flavor. The garlic cheese sticks were really better described as a garlic cheese bread. Excellent with the marinara for dipping. We shared a few different entries between the 5 of us and still had leftovers. We had a 10" sausage pizza, the meat lasagna and a Stromboli. I'd say the lasagna was up there with one of the best I've had. Nothing super fancy about it. Just nice texture, with the right amount of meat, cheese and sauce. I only got one bite of the Stromboli because my son would have stabbed me if I tried to get more. He liked it a lot. Dropped in for dinner on our last night in Winter Park and wished we had tried it sooner. Great food and the unique environment was very much appreciated. The staff was super nice, food service was quick and delicious. I think my family will always be thankful for being introduced to honey on the pizza crust! It's alright nothing special. The pizza is decent but there's way to much crust. When I order a pizza I want pizza not a fucking loaf of bread. What's up with the honey? This Colorado thing with honey on crust is stupid. Bring out some marinara or ranch or something but honey?! Price is fine for a mountain town...not to taxed. Wow! Incredible food and service. We will definitely be back for future ski , back packing excursions. It is crazy busy so call ahead to be put on the waiting list. We went on a very busy night, so we made a reservation. When we walked in, the whole place was packed, but they were fully prepared for our table of 12. The waitstaff was fast, efficient and friendly. We ordered the family style salad, pizzas, meatball sandwiches, pasta and stromboli. The food was fantastic! The whole family loved the fun surroundings - go! It must be seen. The owner was there working hard right along the waitstaff and came over to our table to say hello and check on us. Wow, this place is amazing! I had no idea where to grab dinner when i arrived for a weekend getaway to winter park as it had been over 10 years since id been here last. I stopped into Hernandos, and boy was I glad! This is some of the BEST pizza i have ever tasted. Homeade crust was to die for,and the fresh Parmesan to top it off was just perfect! After a heavy day on the slopes and in the park we drove in here for some pie. Good choice, the place was super packed, so apparently everyone else had the same idea. Tried the family sized greek salad which had just the right balance of lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, peppercinis, feta cheese, and dressing..Delicioso We also tried two different pizzas, one with the thick crust and traditional meat toppings, and the other with the thin wheat crust with veggies. The two pizzas were very different, but both of them were tasty enough to justify every calorie each bite brought into my body. Thanks goes out to all the Yelpers whose glowing reviews led me to this glorious gem of a pizza joint. They also saved me time by recommending calling ahead for seating. While others were being told to wait for an hour and a half, we were able to be seated within fifteen minutes of arrival thanks to getting or name on the wait list ahead of time. read more

When my wife and I showed up we asked to be seated outside. They told us that none of the tables out there had been bussed. When I looked out the door there were about three tables finishing and all the rest of the tables full of dishes. The table next to us on the inside had not been bussed either.
