I been going to Hernando's for many years. At first, its unique ambiance and style of dining perked my interest. Given lack of quality restaurants in the area, it is not a bad place to dine...but, I think the place has over the years been losing its quality. Perfect dinner spot, especially if traveling with kids. We loved that we were able to stroll over from our condo at Telemark. 10i minute wait on a busy summer weeknight. The pizza was great. We liked the thin crust! It was thin but we still had crust to have with some honey. Loved the marinara with the cheese and garlic bread. Chicken Parmesan was yummy too. Lively, fun family place. We usually stick with the pizza (try the thin crust with pesto, sausage and peppers for something delicious and different!) and cheesy bread. Salads have a ton of dressing, so we ask them to go light on the dressing or order it on the side. Overall, great pizza! read more

This is a favorite of the in-laws, and whether it's the best pizza joint or the only pizza joint in the ski resort region, my recommendation is unchanged: call in for a time slot/reservation, cause you will be waiting over an hour for pizza. This place certainly has a lot of character, there are one-dollar bills plastered across the walls and ceilings. I'm not particular to the history, but as my wife and her family states, it's the best post-ski trip pizza joint that they've ever had. The alcoholic beverages, aside from the beer is pretty generic, and the bartender definitely favors a stiff drink. We tried three different pizzas, the supreme, the vegetarian and the Jeffrey on the traditional crust. I do think the crust is the most unique aspect of the pizza, kind of a blend between thin crust and sauce filled crust. However, I wasn't a big fan of the toppings, as they were fairly skimpy and not enough to cover the dough. The service was decent and if it weren't for the fact that we placed our names down early, we would have been waiting for 1.5 hours at least. My recs, if you aren't starving for pizza, just look elsewhere cause you'll be waiting quite a long time for decent, but not outrageous pizza. read more

Hernando's Pizza is the best place to get A pizza or some pasta in Grand County, the portions are huge. It's a bit on the expensive side but well worth it. Give this place a try! read more

Hernando's is great restaurant, and a personal favorite of mine from the two summers I spent in Grand County. The pizza is delicious, and they have so many good options to choose from. They definitely have something for everyone. My personal favorite is the Column 1, which has all of the meats from the first column of the list of pizza toppings. This is such a great pizza pub! The pizza here is thin and delicate and browned and the pizza edge is so delicious you eat it with honey. The walls are lined with $1.00 bills that patrons have decorated- thousands 0f them. Salad good as well. Good family spot - forgiving. Very rustic and casual. Easy access and parking. read more

We used to go here all the time when we had a ski in ski out condo at Winter Park, the food was always great then, tonight was the total opposite the hostess sat us at a table that had obviously had not been wiped down I put my purse on the table then my menu and they stuck to the table as the table was covered in honey, so we got up and went to find here and she said we could sit outside at the table that was on a steep tilt, and we said no to that table and sat at the one next to it and she got angry at us, this hostess is not very nice to the customers. I got fettuccine Alfredo and it Had very little sauce and green stuff I had to keep pulling out of my mouth, my husband ordered a Italian sub and the waitress brought out a meatball sub. I don't know if I will return after this visit, and I will not recommend to our team from Ride the Rockies that will be in town tomorrow night and our team is about 60 people. read more

The atmosphere of the restaurant was really cool, but the rest left a lot to be desired. First of all, my order was messed up, and the customer service was average. This place is an over rated tourist trap. The food was mediocre at best. We were left wanting more. We ended up ordering another pizza from Elevation Pizza while at Hernando's. Delicious! Now a tradition the whole family enjoys. The Scampi and Column 1 rock, and the rolled crust is mmmmmmmmmmmm-scrumptious.

Stopped in for some pizza. It was the off season, so the place was busy, but no wait for a Saturday night which was great. Had the garlic cheese bread and a pizza. We were really craving pizza so we randomly decided to stop in here. From the outside we didn't expect anything amazing but as soon as you walk in it's awesome! The walls are covered floor to ceiling with $1 bills people have drawn on...super cool. We got an AMAZING shrimp scampi pizza and a (huge and delicious) piece of cheesecake. This place was excellent. Pasta was excellent and they offer 4 different sauces. Drink prices were very reasonable (3 beers $10). Place is not large so expect to wait if you go between 5:30 and 8:00 or so. Drinks being so reasonable it's definitely worth the wait. read more
