This Pizza Pub was amazing! The staff was very friendly & service was excellent. The pizza was so good we returned the 2nd night of our stay in Winter Park, to eat again! AWESOME PIZZA!!! Lots of different options, and we have tried most of them. So far everything is delicious! We love to get a salad before hand, all of them are great! Loved the gluten-free pizza crust and my favorite place for gluten-free pizza. Too bad you are not in Denver! My husband and I went here twice, once to check out the restaurant for our rehearsal dinner and the other was our rehearsal dinner itself. We sat on the patio the first night which was beautiful on a cool summer night. The place is definitely great for large parties and within a very reasonable price range if you are hosting/paying for a large crowd. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food and the kiddos loved their dessert. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, especially when we had about 25 people. Hernando's Pizza & Pub holds a special place in my heart. In addition to having excellent pizzas, the staff is incredibly helpful. One time a party for 50 dined at Hernando's. We visited Hernando's Pizza the last night of our stay here in Winter Park and it was excellent! Food was delicious with excellent pizza crust. They even had honey on the table to add some sweetness to your crust if you like. We had a large group and the waitress was able to place our order and deliver our food quickly. Although the pizza is decent, the attitude received from both the hosts and waitstaff is unbearable. I am a frequent traveler to Winter Park and the rudeness and lack of respect and courtesy for guests is off the charts. Most recently I was told directly in person that "we are too busy for that crap" word for word from the host when I asked if they could text us when our 1+hour wait time was up to come back over and eat. I've got examples after examples of this type of behavior from multiple friends and other guests. This is not a one-time occurrence, something happens every time I visit this place. They always have a ridiculous wait so I think their confidence has gone over their heads and they now treat customers like cattle. Anyway, I highly advise you go elsewhere until they shape up their behavior, it's completely unacceptable. Many other great places to go in Winter Park, do not support Hernandos. read more

My family and i went into eat this past thursday. The wings were good. Pizza was decent(crust was amazing!). Our waitress was absent alot. Didnt recieve napkins or plates till half way threw the meal. She also only refilled our drinks once. Upon finishing we had to hunt her down for our ticket. Our meal wasnt horribly priced. We ate a large two topping pizza, wings and large order of cheesy bread sticks. Our ticket came out to $47.99. So we paid the $47.99 on our card and left a 5$ cash tip and a note on the ticket that napkins and refills are a must if you expect a decent tip. As we are pulling away the waitress rushed out screaming something i couldnt make out. Two days later as im going over my bank transactions i come across a $50 transaction for hernandos. The absentee waitress decided to add a tip to our reciept and rounded out the $47.99 to $50. I leave cash tips due to the fact that i know they tax tips and lets be honest the serving wage suck. Upon my discovery i went up to hernandos and spoke to the manager jeff. He looked at me as if i was lying. He then gave me the tip she took back in cash. At this point its not about the cash. Its about the fact that this waitress wasnt happy about my tip and stole my money. If she did it to me and my family who else is she going to or has she done this too?? read more

This review is for anyone who is planning on using Hernando's Pizza Pub as a venue for a group. We planned to have our rehearsal dinner at Hernando's. After speaking with the owner 6 months before our wedding while we were in Winter Park, he assured us that it would be easy to pull off. My mother-in-law spoke with him several times to secure the seating around the fireplace, menu, and drinks. When we arrived there everything was wrong. The owner was not there and did not leave accurate info with the manager. The manager was not accomodating and we spent almost an hour to wait for our seating. The manager would not listed to our requests and proceeded to tell me that I didn't book the event right. BRIDES, I know this is a popular place for rehearsal dinners but my advice is to think twice. Great pizza, been here a few times.... been busy but not so bad as I see in other reviews. My only gripe would be the salad is diced lettuce that is pre-mixed with some sort of creamy dressing.... seems like all their salads are that way! The antipasto is the same mix with diced ham and black olives. When I think of antipasto it is rolled salami, mozzarella, pepporcini, tomatoes, basil...house italian dressing. We always hit Hernandos as part of our annual ski trip. It is part of our tradition. Their food is good and they offer some different varieties, such as pineapple pizza. We always order the stromboli. The decor is unique as they have dollar bills everywhere. Recommended as a ski week tradition. read more

Typical ski-town restaurant, complete with sloppy servers who exhibit a distinct lack of professionalism, in concert with predatory pricing practices made for an awful meal. See the other reviews about charging for soda refills...without a captive audience in a resort town, this place wouldn't last a week. Shame on Hernandos for constantly deceiving their customers out of hard earned cash. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else that appreciates your business. Sloppy servers with poor hygiene and overpriced pizzas can be overlooked, but screwing customers is unforgivable. read more

Pizza is so good! Unfortunately the service we received from our server, Katrina C, was unbelievable. We were the first people here with a table of 6 and one of the orders were messed up and she was extremely rude when it was pointed out. We requested a side of ranch and were charged $3 without being notified until we received the check. Then when we received the check she had hand written her 20% gratuity for a large party and total on our check, which seemed weird that the computer did not automatically add this. We then requested for our check to be split 6 ways, a common request, as we were all paying separately and she told us their system doesn't work like this and she could only accept multiple forms of payment and basically said we had to do the math ourselves. After spending 10 minutes trying to correctly figure in the tax and gratuity, we gave her our multiple cards and cash and she came over and informed us that we had done it wrong. By this point we were extremely annoyed and asked her to do the math for us, she took our cards and started pointing at us with her coworkers from the bar area, which is obviously extremely unprofessional. She came over once again and said we still owed her $17 (the gratuity). By this point we just wanted to leave so we gave her one card and said we'll figure it out ourselves later. I just want to state that place has HORRIBLE SERVICE. When I first got into the establishment everything looked great! It had a good vibe. However on 5/18/18 my family and I were seated at the outside patio. We were given menus and silverware from the hostess. 5 mins go by we haven't seen a waitress, which was fine because I saw a couple girls going around to the table around us. Thinking that they saw us. However now 10 mins go by and the waitresses are still going by no one even looks at us or acknowledge us. Still trying to make the best of the situation and just figuring they were short staffed. 20 mins go by and the hostess comes out and seats another family of four right next to our table. Five minutes go by and the waitress goes up to them to get drink orders again COMPLETELY ignoring us. After 30 mins I got up and went to the hostess and asked if she even sat us with a table that was being assigned, she said yes and apologized and said she would get someone right away. I head back to the table another 5 mins go by and then we finally see our waitress come out and completely unapologetic and made it seem that we were a inconvenience to her. Anyways she was very blunt and fast and took our order. My father ordered the Greek salad to start and a couple mins later she came back and asked if it was good and walked away before we could even answer. Food was alright when we finally got it. We got the check and they did knock off 10% which was nice. But we did miss our movie because of the delayed service. I know their signature is to have a four inch giant crust, but it didn't appeal to us. Rest of pizza was just an average, non crunchy thin crust. We were visiting for the week and chose to visit here because of the reviews and raves from locals. We went in there expecting amazing food and service, and what we received was much less than what we expected. We were a group of 9 and were seated in the most uncomfortable, smallest booth near the fireplace, it was hot! To make it worse, our waitress, Leah was not friendly at all. When it came time to leave, we asked to split our checks, due to being a big group, mostly couples. Leah tells us that she can't split up the check but if we tell her the dollar amount for each group, she will process separate transactions. First of all, I've NEVER heard of a restaurant that can't split up a group check! Second, some were paying by debit and some by cash, so this was bound to get confusing but this dingbat insisted she couldn't split the check. So as she is taking our debit cards and cash, we were advising her the amount of each transaction we wanted to process. She wasn't writing anything down, nor seeming to capture what we were saying, so she grabbed our cards and cash and walked away quickly. She comes back with receipts for the debit card transactions and NO cash back for those who paid with cash, myself and husband being one of them. When I asked her why I was paying her $20 for a pizza that cost $10.75, she replies that their taxes are higher and they had to charge 20% gratuity, so she apparently made the executive decision ON HER OWN to use the cash that myself and 2 others paid with and give herself a nice tip she honestly DID NOT deserve nor work for. This is a rip-off as this pizza was the equivalent or worse of a slice of pizza from a 7/11 gas station. I would never recommend anyone to venture into this place and waste their money or time. And if you do, make sure you are not served by LEAH, the WORST waitress who did not work for the tip she stole from us. We would've actually tipped more than what she took, had she been at least attentive, or even customer-service friendly, but she was snippy and showed no interest to make our experience more favorable. I'd rather buy a frozen pizza then eat here ever again. Waste of our money on this overpriced cardboard pizza. read more

TERRIBLE!!! We ordered green side salads, and received big piles of croutons with a little lettuce hidden underneath. Then we had pasta which had horrible sauce.
