    Popcorn Chicken

Hey Chicken is another Chinese chicken shop that I've wanting to try and see how it compares to others in the area. I first ordered to order via a food app, but the order ended up being cancelled. After arriving, I used the kiosk to place my order. I went around 6:00 pm and it was not busy at the time. The interior is a bit small with several seatings that mainly accommodated groups of 4.They have a parking lot in the back. For my order, I got the spicy chicken sandwich and a side of popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken was crunchy and juicy. For the sandwich, it was also juicy and spicy. The spice level was enough to get a kick and still made it enjoyable. Hey Chicken is definitely a spot that I'll revisit. Bonus points for their cute mascot on the tote bag and boxes! The kiosk did accept American Express.

Hey Spicy Chicken Sandwich / 叫了个香辣鸡腿堡 and Onion Rings

Came on a Saturday afternoon around 12 pm and sat down as the only dine in customers. Pricing was pretty fair - 9.99 per burger and 4.99 for the onion rings. Specialty sauces like honey mustard and hey chicken sauce were .69 cents extra, but ketchup was free! The sandwich itself was very tasty - the chicken was hot and juicy on the inside and very crispy on the outside. The spice level was also comfortable, and not painful throughout the meal. Onion rings surprised me as well, they were crispy and the whole onion doesn't just pull out with one bite. Overall would come back if in the area, which is likely since Bengong and 3catea are right around the corner!

Great spot ! Our toddler son loved it! Original is a little spicy, but he could handle it. However, we would love if they had a version without spice (easier for kids). Great staff, friendly and efficient . Spacious seating area. We went back twice !

It's pretty small inside with a few tables and you order from the kiosk in front. It's located on the corner and they have a small parking area in the back. Otherwise street parking. Got the hey chicken crispy sandwich and the hey double New Orleans sandwich. The crispy sandwich came with a piece missing from the bun but they took it back and replaced it with a new one. I liked the crispyness of the sandwich but I liked the New Orleans better. Maybe bc of the flavoring? Or maybe bc it was more chicken and less batter? Not sure but if I come back, I would get the New Orleans. The mozzarella sticks didn't come with any dipping sauce, like what? No marinara no nothing.

I was really trying to get soup today, but that place was closed, so I took a walk around the strip mall and found this chicken place. The person at the register was nice and helped with all my questions. The music was super loud, so it was hard to hear sometimes. I ended up getting a chicken wrap and mozzerella sticks. I was pretty hungry at this point, so I went for a mozzerella stick as I walked back to my car. As I took a bite, hot oiled dripped out of the stick... but i figured it was just newly cooked. So then i get to my car and bit into another stick and it still had hot oil in it, and it burnt my lip a bit. I think it was just cooked at too high a temperature because there was no cheese in the stick, it had all just sunk to the bottom (see pic). The chicken wrap was just a plain ole wrap to me. Nothing special, just like chicken fingers wrapped up with a couple pieces of lettuce. They didn't seem to have any sauces available, so I just added ketchup. Chicken was dry. To be honest, I would rather have gone to chick-fil-a.

if you like mediocre check in this is a place for you. There's nothing special about it except for the bag that the chicken comes in. Lol it's super cute. I think I might've gone into the soft opening. Their whole menu is not available to buy it and I tried the spicy chicken sandwich and the popcorn chicken. The popper chicken are awesome but they don't offer a level of spice and they also don't offer a level of spice for the spicy chicken sandwich. Their house sauce, taste kind of funky. Dislike, horseradish, mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise put together. There really isn't much service there. You just order off a kiosk and days later you'll get a text message that your order is ready lol. It did, however, take quite a bit of time for my order to be ready. I only gave it three stars because I think the popcorn chicken is actually pretty tasty. The fries I ordered were kind of too starchy. Reminded me of the fries from the hat down the street.

Came here in-person during soft opening, they had a pretty good special bogo whole fried chicken. It was actually good and tasted clean, a reason I decided to come back. Months later, I placed an online pick up order on a random Sunday at approximately 8:30 PM. Drive to the store, and it's closed, lights off. The stores hours says Monday-Sunday 11:30 AM to 11:30 PM. Nope for whatever reason, the store is closed. Ok well, things happen and maybe they needed to close that night. The issue is, their online ordering system accepted my order and took my money. I even called the next day, no answer to my phone calls. I'm mad obviously, I file a dispute with my credit card company. For whatever reason, credit card company sided with the merchant after chowbus responded (won't be using citi credit cards anymore but that's a different story), and I have no idea what chowbus's response was. I'm rating this place 1 star because of this experience, and the fact that they stole my money (goods never received). I refuse to support businesses that have zero responsibility and accountability. Be careful if you place an online order here.

I came in on a Saturday around 7. The parking lot is tiny and not the best. It's a small place with about 5 tables. You can order from the kiosk or the person at the front. My friend and I both got the Hey Crispy Chicken Sandwich combo. It comes with fries and a drink. My friend and I thought the burger was SOOOO good!! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. The mayo on the sandwich was sweet and the shredded lettuce helped it from being too salty and sweet. The fries were ok. Just regular fries nothing special. Overall I was surprised there weren't a lot of people here in a Saturday night but I would definitely come again. Bonus points for the gloves they give you.

Talk about a treat! I have not had a chicken sandwich in a very long time. My oh my the chicken sandwich was perfect. That first bite was so enjoyable. The Hey New Orleans chicken wings are also a must! It was so flavorful. I believe the show stopper was the Hey Golden Fried Chicken. The crispness was so good. For a person who does not always eat fried food, this was truly an absolute treat and it made me so happy at every bite! The service was great and he was able to answer all our questions about the menu. We were happy with our meal and how it came out in a very timely manner. The place was very clean and enjoyable to eat at. The bathroom was also clean and I have to add this info because I find it useful to know which does to show that they take cleanliness seriously.

Wanna grab fried chicken for your meal today? Come here . I ordered: 1. Hey chicken wings 6pc 2. Hey new orleans chicken wings 6pc 3. Hey double new orleans chicken sandwich - very moist chicken! Reasonable price and easy to eat! Dine-in orders over $88 before tax, a Bounce Dancing chicken toy will be given.

Came here for small dinner since most of us were not hungry but it was time to eat. They have a deal BOGO chicken right now, 12 pieces for $12. The chicken came out fresh, hot and crispy. This was just the spicy flavor tho, I wasn't sure if they had flavor options, or if I did, I might have missed it. They have a good amount of tables that me and my friends were able to play a card game and eat at the same time, and still have enough space for their other customers to dine in. Overall a good place to hang out!

While driving down valley, I saw this new location pop up and it looked so cute. I love the little logo of the chicken, and have always been curious to try their fried chicken! My friend recently told me that the restaurant was currently running a buy one get one free promotion, so I figure it was a good time to finally go try it. My brother and I went for dinner and each got ourselves a Rattan Pepper Fried Chicken. We ordered a few yummy sides to go with it and waited patiently as they make everything fresh to order. Luckily for those in a hurry, you can call in or order your food ahead of time, or just play some games they have at the shop! The chicken was very fresh, it came out piping hot, and the rattan pepper flavor was spicy but not too overwhelming. It reminded me of the flavor you get in sauerkraut fish soup you find at Szechuan restaurants. The sides were very tasty, and I liked the Hey Sauce you can add on to your meal. Will try their other flavors next time I pass through, hopefully the promotion will still be around!

I'm very impressed by this chicken & MT shop! I stopped by last night to grab something quick after the Grammys , this bright yellow of this corner shop stood out nicely in the rain and gave warm happy vibes. I ordered crispy rattan whole chickens, a popcorn chicken, and white peach tea, which the waitress helped recommend. They definitely fried those chickens freshly so expect a wait of 10-15 min. Those were for a long time after I got home. They had this cute bear mascot for the milk tea brand that I took pics of while I waiting. The wall art is pretty funny too. I got the popcorn chicken first and the breading was so nice, not too oily but perfectly seasoned. The whole rattan chicken blew my mind with the five spice? Seasoning? It was unlike any flavor I've tried before and the skin was well crisped too, deserving of the 5 stars and I can't wait to go back to try their squid ink chicken and spicy chicken sandwiches!

I've been here a grand total of twice…read more My first experience was problem free. Kudos. The second visit "could've been better" (which Yelp suggests that a 2 star rating would be appropriate to indicate): we placed quite a simple order - 2x Strawberry Sundaes. We took our number placard (#52) and sat at a table to await our order. After patiently waiting what I would estimate to be approximately 15-20 minutes and seeing quite a few other people served their orders, I did find it odd that it was taking so long to prepare 2x sundaes, so I located the young man who took our order and politely inquired about it. He looked a bit confused, exchanged some unintelligible words one of the guys on the grill, and then looked back at me and said it was not our turn yet (or something to that effect). Okay, fair enough. Maybe there were many orders ahead of us. I took it in good stride and went back to my table. After waiting approximately another 15-20 minutes and seeing that *Order #70* was being given their food, I realized that there was a problem and went back up to the ordering counter. I ended up talking with an old man (who I presume is the owner/manager). I explained the situation, and he inquired who had taken our order. I looked around, and the young man appeared to be nowhere in sight, but I did mention it was he who had had taken our order. The old man apologized and assured us he would take care of our order right away. Sure enough, I saw him beeline to the ice cream machine to start our sundaes, and he delivered them to us within 2-3 minutes. He apologized a second time, stating that it was the young man's 2nd day on the job, and that he otherwise would not have forgiven the transgression. In my experience, the resolution to the absurd wait could have been handled worse (in theory, the old man could certainly have told us to pound sand rather than apologizing and immediately attempting to correct the problem and quickly getting our desserts after being made aware of his employee's failure), but also could have been handled better (comping us for the trivial cost of the sundaes as a remedy/cure would have more effectively salved our irritation from the unnecessary waste of 30+ minutes of our life, and would have been in-line with remedial efforts I have experienced at other eateries, including similar fast food/burger joints). All that said, the sundaes were quite good. They would undoubtedly have tasted better had they been served in a time frame reasonable enough to not spoil the mood. I get that this is not a fine dining restaurant of any sort, but I still expect staff competence to be no worse than that of a McDonald's baseline level. I also get that humans make mistakes, but ... how did a simple order of 2x sundaes get botched this badly, particularly after a good faith attempt to bring the matter to staff's attention??

Unfortunately, it's also a very messy burger that's drenched in its own grease. I had that annoying oily aftertaste desperately clinging onto me after this meal. I felt the urge to shower after eating. On ambiance, Eat Fantastic (Arcadia) is lovely. Also, it's well-shaded, airy, and clean. I appreciate the hard effort towards making this dining area spotless and comfortable. In addition, Eat Fantastic (Arcadia) has about 10 tables and one long table. Also, there's a nearby gender neutral restroom for customers. Overall, Eat Fantastic (Arcadia) has potential. I ended up at a little food court that had a few solid looking options, but sometimes when you see a burger and smell a burger, you simply need to eat the dang burger. There was no line when my wife and I approached the window to order and we ordered a double cheeseburger, a grilled cheese, an order of fries, and a milkshake. Now, instead of simply giving us the price the dude working told us how it was going to take a really long time because he would have to make the burgers and the milkshakes, which ya know, is kind of how it works when you order food. So instead of questioning his logic, I just said forget the shake and ordered the food. The food took literally 8 minutes to come out and I can't imaging the milkshake would of caused that much trouble since they are ordered all the time, but who am I to say? The food was great, as For The Win always is. The french fries were great and so was my burger, but the lackluster interaction with the kid working really put a damp on the experience. Overall, For The Win is still my favourite burger chain in LA and it's going to take a lot for someone to knock them down (although Burgers Never Say Die and Irv's are up there too). Maybe one day, I'll even get to try a milk shake! Hopefully you have a better time ordering then I did.
