Really like the pineapple fried rice, they did include a lot of the good stuff like cashews and pineapple and a ton of tofu which is a welcome change compared to other places. Drunken noodles were good but the chili flakes were like hard and unchewable which is a not a great thing to bite into if you're affected by food texture sensitivity. So happy I found this place. It reminds me of Vegan Glory in my old neighborhood. I got the Tom Kha Soup with Tofu spicy and it was wonderful! It was filling flavorful and had me sniffing up a storm with a spice level. I also ordered the Roti with Guac and again it was delicious. My husband got the Pineapple Fried Rice and I had a few bites and it was so tasty. He also ordered the Gyoza and it was crispy pack full of flavor and not greasy. Their golden tofu put a tofuuuuut in my mouth because sheeeesh! Better flavor than any meat dish could provide - especially with the sweet and tangy sauce to pair. That's 15 years I've been missing out. I ordered the vegetable pad thai. The vegetables were cooked to perfection! Hot, soft, yet crunchy and Fresh! Serving is quite generous. Had the orange chicken. Tasted heavenly! The sauce on this dish is finger licking good! Sweet, thin and saucy!! The batteted soy chicken is crispy, tender and as carnivore, I never knew soy chicken could taste so good! Had an order of steamed dumplings. My expectations were low, just cause I've had them at other places before and they were always ok. These were from another planet!! I could not put my fork down! The sauce was insanely delicious! Had a very refreshing glass of Thai iced tea. Let me tell you, this I took my time with cause I couldn't stop Eating!! If I had to describe it, I would say it was perfectly balanced. Not too strong and or sweet. I loved it! And to finish it off I ordered a vegan chocolate cake. Let me tell you, vegans have it good!! I'll preface this by saying I was in a sour mood before I even got there-- I braved the treacherous parking lot of Costco just to pick up some probiotics, only to find that the pharmacy is closed on Sundays. Was not aware that Costco pharmacies operate under a Chick-Fil-A style regime. I got to LA Vegan about twenty minutes before it opened at 11AM, so I walked around the block a few times to get my steps in. When I finally got in and ordered, the employee told me "it's going to take a while because we have to turn everything on". I wasn't going to order anything to drink, but given the projected long wait time, I added a cup of green tea to my order. Almost 30 minutes passed and I still hadn't received anything. Not even my cup of tea. I'm no restaurateur, but it's my personal opinion that if you open at 11AM (a time at which the day is already almost half over) you should be ready to prepare food at 11AM. At the very least, you should be able to throw a mug of water in the microwave and bring me my tea within 5 minutes. My order finally came out after half an hour, the Deluxe Breakfast with a cup of green tea. It wasn't cold, per se, but given the wait time I was surprised to see it wasn't piping hot. Problems aside, the food was pretty enjoyable. It was a classic American-style breakfast, fluffy pancakes, and a well salted tofu scramble with a crisp hash brown on top. I could have done without the bacon strips, but the single sausage had a nice flavor. It was good, but nothing outstanding. I will say, however, that'd I'd venture to guess that breakfast isn't the most popular item on their menu. In the end, I left pretty stuffed and satiated. The staff was apologetic of the long wait, but it doesn't erase the fact that I was on the verge of ripping my hair out. I'd probably go back though! This is my go to place for vegan Thai. The "orange chicken" is so good and my fav item on the menu. Paired with Thai tea and fried rice, yum! Service was good, I was concerned before going after reading other reviews. They also offer vegan tacos and burgers but I have not ventured past the Thai menu. You can dine in or get it to go, either way the food is ready quick. Street parking is available and never been a problem. read more

I'm not a vegan but one of my roommates is, so we decided to try this spot a few weeks ago! Parking is pretty limited as it's just metered street parking, and the interior is super small. A lot of calls for takeout came in while we were there, so it seems to be a popular grab and go spot! Our server was very friendly, and our food came out extremely fast. I ordered the hot wings which were so tasty and some of the sauce was still in the container which made it even better highly recommend for an appetizer. I normally do not tip on a to-go order pickup, but yesterday I did with 15% extra... This is a rant, so move to another review if you are not ready to read it. However, we won't be going back; here's why. When I walked in, it took me almost five minutes to talk to the woman about my name on the four bags for take-out waiting for pickup. Once I got it, I asked for extra utensils, and that was such an inconvenience to her; she eventually went to the kitchen and got me a little kit and almost threw it into my hand... only one other person was waiting for his food for pickup, but they were busy. When I asked for extra napkins, you would have thought I asked for a free meal, and what was handed to me was no more than three "extra" napkins... So on a customer service aspect, 1 star! Did it cut that much into your profits for more than three napkins? The Food: We ordered fried potstickers, eggrolls, two soups (one large, one small), and fried tofu. I asked for no cilantro, as I have a food allergy, but in the description, "no cilantro." Everything that we received was fine, but the dipping sauce for the fried tofu had it, so I had to eat it dry. Let me tell you, and Fried Tofu takes on what it's cooked in... This was bland as bland can be. The Soups were nothing to write home about, which is sad, as my wife and I love Tom Yum soups. So I spent $50 with a tip for seven fried dumplings, five spring rolls, two soups, one large and one small, and a very generous BLAND friend tofu. What killed me was the lack of customer service when I arrived. That alone left a bad taste. The only good thing was the heat from the soup, at the very least, warmed our hands. All and all, there's no reason to go back. Why settle for poor customer service and unmemorable tasting food? Lastly, they clearly can't follow their directions, as they included a condiment that was requested to leave off. Note to management, you should look into whats' cooking here... You had a customer, new, eager to give your place a shot, and after the experience, I don't see a want or need to come back! read more

I love this place! It's delicious, they have ton of variety, the people there are patient and I order from them regularly. Sometimes I do takeout, other times I decide to stay in and eat at the restaurant. It's nice and quiet and if you wanna have a relaxing break, excellent place for that. I observed something yesterday with a rude customer when I came in. I had decided to eat in and just enjoy a nice evening break. The other customer was loud and on her phone using her speakerphone. I wanted to catch her attention and ask her to take her call outside or at least not to be on a speakerphone. She finally took the phone off speaker, but continued to be super abnoxious. The staff was there looking at her often but she ignored everyone, then tried to pay and was so impatient, so rude to the staff. I couldn't believe she was doing this. Didn't leave a tip either, complaining to her phone companion that no one was paying attention to her. So rude. The staff didn't deserve this. I felt bad for them.
