Had some pho through Grub Hub today. Ordered two brisket and one chicken pho. Opened the container and I notice the broth had so much oil sitting on top. I scooped some oil out and stirred it and assembled my bowl with basil, bean sprout, onions and jalapenos and poured the broth and mixed the noodles. I was so disappointed with the taste of their broth it was so greasy I couldn't taste the actual beef broth. Spoonful after spoonful of oil. Added hoisin, sriracha and lime and didn't make any difference. All three were the same including the chicken bowl. I would not recommend. Would rather go to Blue Lotus Vietnamese restaurant for their pho and other dishes on Main Street less than 5 minutes away and a couple dollars cheaper. Would not recommend hiccups pho. read more

I pickup from here very often. Ambiance inside is nice staff is friendly and food is pretty good. I come from food and beverage world so attention to detail is crazy when I'm in the restaurant. They lost a star due to water jugs having mold on them on self serving table. This is common issue in the restaurants so no hard feelings I will be back! read more

Good food, slow to come out. There were only two tables of people when I arrived, otherwise empty. I ordered ahead through the app and was there in 15 minutes. It's been almost 25 minutes and my foods still not ready. So if you're pre-ordering, order really early. Okay so I've been here a total of two times. They first time was the best experience and food i've had so I when back today. Now today was a whole 360 difference and I was very disappointed. I ordered my food for dine in at 12:20pm and My food came at 12:30 just for it to be the wrong food so they took it back. I did end up getting my food just for them to pack it for take out when that wasn't my plan. I didn't get my food until 12:50pm. I ended up just taking it home just for it to be cold. Ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai with extra lime. Bland bland bland. There were about 6 small shrimp and hardly any sprouts. I'm so disappointed. It used to be so delicious. Lime replaced with lemons. I also ordered a Mango Mango and paid for a large. They gave me the regular size and said it was the largest they had. Funny because I also ordered a regular black tea and they came in the same size cups. The garlic noodles were what saved this review from a 1 or 2. The noodles were amazing! Hiccups is a great lunch option, especially if you work nearby. Menu is also very big so there's something for everyone. However, because the menu is big, there's nothing that really stands out. For food, I've tried a few things here and most people will say get the garlic noodles, but the noodles really don't have a strong garlic flavor and it's overly greasy. I'd suggest their rice dishes. Recently been the Shaken Beef with rice for me. It's a safer dish and hard to mess up. A bit oily though. Colleagues get popcorn chicken a lot, but it is on the sweeter side with their marinade - not a big fan. Drinks are not bad - overly sweet, so I'd suggest asking for less sugar. If you love sweet drinks, then this is the spot! The one thing I haven't tried yet is the pho. Not sure why but once I found my go-to, I tend to stick with it. Will report back once I do! Price-wise, definitely pricey especially if you are used to eating certain dishes at Thai/Vietnamese/Chinese spots. Paying for the trendy decor I guess. Service is good. I appreciate how their staff will go to each table a few times to check in with you to see if you need anything else. Love this place. I typically get their boba drinks, but I've had their food too and it was good. My go-to's are the special teas. I have had the garlic noodles and fries too, tasty. The food is fire, and the line is usually out the door. The location is really accessible and open for you to dine outside. I'm going to keep it real, it really doesn't matter what day you come. This location is always poppin. It could be college students, at the beginning of the week, a after work crowd mid week and families on the weekends. I guess that means the food and atmosphere is appealing. Because it's always a crowd so I order me food to go. My husband and I like the Garlic noodles with shaken Beef and the combination fried Rice. I've also had the Pad Thai which is tasty. But my experience is if you don't finish it the first day. It really isn't that good the next day. Hiccups does a really good job with their Teas and Milk drinks. At this particular location they offer points on your purchases. A few dishes that I think they do really well: - basil fried rice - garlic noodles - popcorn chicken BUT! A few things that I've been disappointed in (hence the 3/5 stars) is their service and meat portions. During my last visit, I decided to order over the phone and pick up my food. When I arrived, I was given two bags and when checking my order, I noticed that one bag of food was not mine. Behind me was another customer asking for their order and when this happened, the cashier/server snatched the bag out of my hand saying, "let me see that." Thankfully I checked because I did, in fact, have that other customer's food in my possession. I felt like the cashier was rude and probably panicked b/c she realized she had given me someone else's order. When it comes to meat portions, I noticed that Hiccups adds a small amount. This has happened to me twice with the beef noodles. I thought it was just a one-time thing so when I decided to order it again during my last visit, it was the same ordeal. However, I noticed that this is usually the case when ordering to-go/pick-up because when in-house, they give great portions. So there's definitely some inconsistency. read more

Where is the flavor!!!!!??? I drove 32 miles round trip out of spontaneity, and was completely let down. I've had this in my bookmarks for the longest, I need to stop going to places that are trending because the bandwagon effect is real, maybe it's what I ordered but it's overhyped. Secondly parking there's street parking and free parking behind back, I found a spot with ease. Lastly because of the Matcha Milk Tea it was so yummy, I ordered the regular size for $4.50. I drank it so faaaaast it wasn't even funny I had to pull over to get a green tea for 69 cents. The inside is nice, there's enough booths and tables for you and friends to sit and enjoy your food, you order food at the cashier then find a spot to sit, this isn't a server type situation. The menu has a nice variety from rice, noodles, proteins, drinks etc Now the food itself I ordered beef bulgogi w rice, it comes with a side salad as well, I asked for no mushrooms, it also comes with grilled onions and sesame seeds for $12.95 during lunch. This was so disappointing, you could tell they marinated/seasoned the beef but theres hardly ANY, every bite was onions, onions, onions, very overwhelming, if I wanted that I'd buy onion rings or funions. If you like to hunt order this dish because that's all you'll be doing hunting for meat. What little there was, was tender. Since I ordered to go they put everything in one Togo box, my salad was disgustingly soaked, it was so soggy I didn't order cooked spinach or collard greens, adding the salad dressing just made it worse, it did not compliment each other well. Next up the shrimp pad Thai for $13.20, my mouth should have been exploding with flavor, instead it was the complete opposite my tastebuds died. You might want to eat some sorbet to cleanse your palate before eating here it might make the food taste better, probably not. I wanted to throw it away but the Tupperware is reusable so I'll wait to get home to dump the inside out instead. Overall I wouldn't use my gas to drive back here at all, I thought Triple T in Gardena was mediocre but this took the Wok. Wanted some milk tea on a hot day but left without anything because they refused to serve my drink in the reusable bottle that I brought just for milk tea. As a waste-conscious person, I try to reduce as much single use plastic as possible, and I am glad to see all the attention this topic has received lately. However, the staff member taking orders and another staff member mixing the drinks both said due to "Health Code" they would not be able to pour my drink into my cup, but I can pour the drink from one of their plastic cups into my cup afterward... Frustrated, I left and wrote this review hoping that Hiccups will consider changing their policy/retraining their staff to follow CA Health Code 114075, which allows customers to bring their own containers so long as food employees make sure the pouring container and lip contact area of a consumers cup/container do not touch. read more

We have ordered Pho from many places in the Southbay and Hiccups is the best. We got an ample amount of beef and noodles, great beef broth, and all the condiments (basil, bean sprouts, Jalapeño pepper, onion and lime). I can't say that competitors do a good job of proving all of the condiments. We also got Hoisin and Sriracha sauces without asking. The order was very reasonable and the food and drinks were fantastic. To top it off, the server was so friendly and helpful. She gave me the honest opinion about what people order and some of the favorite dishes of patrons. We want to go back and try the Thai Pad See Yew or Garlic Noodles. There was a lot of parking outside. The inside of the store was designed nicely. I really like the little polaroid section near the front. The cashier was really nice and welcoming as well. We talked about anime and skating while he rung me up. The drinks took a reasonable amount of time to make considering how many I ordered. There were a lot of customers lining up as I was waiting, so they might have forgotten to put the cute little Hiccups sticker on the cups. I got myself the sea salt green tea with boba, but they actually forgot my boba. However, I noticed while getting in the car that it was missing, so I was able to walk back in and get it still. The tea tasted okay, but I wish It was a little stronger. The boba was nice and chewy. The other two drinks were given to family members who said they were pretty good. Good pho' fo show :) My mom wanted some soup after her surgery so I asked yelp where to go near me. We got the pho and wow it was Delish. We enjoyed it very much I will say... Pro: placing a phone order was easy, fast and friendly service. I really like how the girl on the phone was patient with me as I placed my order and answered any questions I had over the phone was very accurate with expected wait time and gave detail instructions on what to do upon arrival. Really wish I got her name.. :/ Side note one order can really be a serving for 2 it was so big!! The best Con: Parking sucks. And the Asian girl who was the cashier could definitely use some customer service training (asap) she was so aloof! Seem like they had way more workers behind the counter then they had space for but maybe they needed all hands on deck it was packed.
