We came for a late lunch and did not have any drinks but it seemed that everyone around us enjoyed their and we have heard good things. The building is very nice, we sat on the lower floor and saw the upstairs which looked like a very cool space. Started with the pierogi poutine, which was very good but gravy could have been a touch hotter as the cheese curds were still a little cold. Still a delicious starter! We had the smoked cheesesteak with sweet potato fries and the french onion dip. The smoked cheesesteak was great and the french onion dip was great too. We had a reservation and they crammed us at a high top behind the bar, directly next to where the waitresses pick up their drink orders from the bar. When I asked if we could have an actual table, they said know because they were "busy". Isn't that the point of me making a reservation? While we were eating, waitresses were constantly picking up drink orders next to us. We quickly ate and got out of there, and went somewhere else for dessert and drinks. The service was exceptional. Their vodka was excellent! Appetizers and meal were just ok. I got the smoked shrimp cocktail (dry) and the crab cakes entree but I should have gotten the burger. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice, we went on a double date and it was a good place to meet. My husband loved the grouper enchiladas. This was our first time eating here. We did not have reservations, which limited our options a tiny bit on a Friday night, but we were still able to get seated in a comfortable table right away. The menu is super interesting, and it's going to require several visits before we can give a complete assessment. We started with some draft beer, specifically the Lady Morgan Stout, which was incredibly smooth and delicious. We skipped the appetizers because we wanted to save room for dessert. I ordered the elk burger which, among other things - cheese, mushrooms and onions - had both bacon jam and steak sauce on it. That sounded pretty crazy to me but the waiter (shoutout to Randall) was persuasive. It turned out to be a genius combination of flavors. My wife had the Asian salad, which she devoured completely so I guess that means she liked it. For dessert we shared a strawberry chocolate ganache cakey thing that was as delicious as it was unique. We found this restaurant while we were ending the day at Hershey park and ravenous! It did not disappoint and surprisingly (especially for a bar!) had kids' meals! If you have anyone in your party that is 12 or younger I HIGHLY recommend you take advantage of it because $10 gets you an entree, 2 sides, generous scoop of local ice cream (in a chilled cup), AND a drink! Our son's waffle crusted chicken tenders were particularly amazing. We also had the carne asada steak with corn and the ahi tuna nachos - both of which I'd also recommend. This is a great spot, I am guessing relatively new as some of it is still under a bit of construction. We stayed across the street so it was an easy jaunt over. We came on a Wednesday night so it wasn't packed and we got a table outside. But, I imagine on the weekend or summer you will definitely want a reservation. They are a distillery and have a great selection of rums/bourbons I tried the flight and they were all very good. I guess I got the premium flight so I wish they'd label which options create the premium vs the regular. I also could've asked. They also have a solid beer selection with some local stuff. My wife got the creamsicle martini and it was awesome, I got the reeses cup martini and holy crap, amazing!! Food wise, I got the short rib sandwich and it was excellent, a ton of flavor. The fries were very good as well. My wife got the nashville chicken and that was very good too. The kids meals are a great value, 2 smaller sides, entrée and a scoop of ice cream for $10. They also come with a drink, I will say this is the one thing that bothered me, our server listed the drinks and one was shirley temple. We assumed it was a real shirley temple, sprite and grenadine but it was a $5 bottle of Boylans shirely temple, which my kid hated because truthfully it tasted like robitussin. So just know that. The service has always been exceptional. Tonight's server was Ray. This dude was righteous. Extremely friendly but laid back in a cool kind of way. Amazing food and drink.. Hot Wings were perfect, Beef Rib and Yukon Potatoes we're filling and tasty. My Manhattan was perfection. Service was great and the place was cozy and upscale. My only complaint is the reservations, it appears they block peak times even though when you arrive there are plenty of open tables. Maitre de could be a bit friendlier, our waitress Ana more than made up for this and to be fair we did not wait long. Experienced this twice though. Otherwise overall excellent dining experience. Update: based on Matt's (Business Owner) response, getting a reservation is based on availability during peak times, which is fine. We waited less thank 10 minutes. I would suggest you call way ahead of time if a reservation is desired. Whatever you choose it's definitely worth the wait. read more

I have to say, beautiful, trendy looking place with a lot of space and I believe a separate room for private parties. The drinks were good, creative specialty cocktails, though light on the alcohol and mediocre on price. Some of the food sounded great in theory, but I have to say, none of it was actually impressive. The fresh cut sting fries were rubbery, like maybe the oil was old. I had beer battered fish and chips and picked all of the batter off of it. My friends ordered the waffle battered chicken tenders (too sweet and kind of odd) and the short rib pot roast (granted, she is a little picky, but was not impressed) The staff was great, as was the atmosphere. My family and I went here to eat tonight. As always it was delicious. I'm happy to see that they brought back my favorite: pulled pork tacos (formerly known as pork carnitas). The Brussel Sprouts are a must. My picky son happily ate his cheeseburger and our family friend enjoyed her meatloaf. There wasn't anything that we didn't like. The atmosphere is inviting and there's more seating than I thought. We almost didn't go in because the parking lot was packed. However, on a Wednesday night, in the winter, we were seated immediately. Make a reservation for the weekend or during touristy times. Hidden stills was an absolutely excellent experience. I recommend getting reservations, as they book up fairly quickly. The only difficult part of dining here was the parking, as their parking lot fills up fast. We came for a birthday celebration. It is absolutely gorgeous inside the restaurant. We sat in the top level and got to overlook everything. Our waitress was phenomenal. We received our food and drinks so fast, we didn't even feel like we waited at all. The elk burger was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. It has an amazing unique mix of salty, meaty, and sweet flavors that made me so happy. I got the sweet potato fries with it, which were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and actually tasted like sweet potato (definitely worth the $2 upcharge). My sister got the chicken tenders, which she said were the best she's ever had (she gets them everywhere we go and compares and ranks them). My dad got the ribs, which were fall off the bone and had a great smoky sweet bbq on them. Came to get a quick bite and drink after a workday. They unfortunately don't have happy hour on Fridays. There was also a wait for the patio since it was a nice day so make reservations in advance if you want outdoor seating! The ahi nachos were great to munch on while drinking and a great appetizer to share with friends! This is not an authentic poke nacho plate but still delicious. The fried wonton chips were super crispy without being too oily, the wasabi aioli was creamy (but not spicy), and the tuna was fresh considering we are in central PA (aka didn't give me a stomachache). I've had drinks here before and they're decent cocktails from $14-$15. A tad expensive for the Hershey area but more than your average tap beer or rail drinks (not cocktail bar nice tho) Will be back to try more of their food! read more

We had 14 people Birthday party in what they call "the annex" at Hidden Still Spirits in Hershey on Saturday, October 5th. An amazing experience!! The service was exceptional, everything delivered in a timely manner and never had to switch plates or return food. The kitchen help was amazing getting all 14 orders right and quick. None of us had a complaint about anything including ambience, drinks, food, service, pleasant wait staff. If we were to give this restaurant a letter grade, it would have to be "A+". Came across this place on yelp and it did not disappoint. I ordered the ribs (which literally were falling off the bone). My wife ordered the short rib grilled cheese. She enjoyed it but mentioned it was a little salty, but the fries were amazing. My 3 year old (this place was super kid friendly) enjoyed his chicken and salad (which was AMAZING) and my 5 year old enjoyed her slider and fries. I'd go back when I'm in the area.
