I am so happy Yelp suggested this place to me while I was traveling in Sedona. You cannot beat the view from the patio here. The entire "tree house" vibe is amazing. My spouse and mother-in-law loved coming here. We did sit on the patio despite it being like 50 degrees but the restaurant has blankets they will bring you! The food was pretty basic but tasty. I have no complaints but if you are looking for something more high class, this is not the place to go. You get a pretty modest menu, which is yummy. They allowed us to move tables to avoid a draft that was causing us to be colder than normal which was sooooo nice of them. We loved that our server was so attentive to our needs. It was about a 25 minute wait for our party of 5. I tried the french onion soup and the Kat's way pizza. The french onion soup looked really amazing and came with a tasty grilled cheese on homemade bread. It was yummy but way too salty for my taste. I felt like I could've diluted it with double the water and it would have been perfect. The Kat's way pizza seemed good on paper but lacked flavor overall. I expected a creamier, more garlicky and salty white sauce. I did enjoy the peaches, pancetta, and zucchini and the pizza itself tasted pretty healthy (not too greasy). My friends also said their dishes were ok - not great but decent. Overall, this is a good place for dinner but nothing mind blowing, so set your expectations accordingly. read more

This place was interesting. It looked really good from their photos and all of their food online, but it kind of let me down once I ate there. I tried the homemade bread and a pizza our server Troy recommended, the Roasted Peach & Caramelized Pancetta pizza. We also had the green lipped mussels. The bread and the mussels were great, but the pancetta on the pizza wasn't that great. It didn't taste fresh and had that gamy porky flavor. I just picked that off. We sat outside and enjoyed a great view. I had to use the restroom before I left and there is only ONE for the WHOLE restaurant that's shared between men and women. We had the Alfredo and lasagna. Both were excellent. Was upset about our drinks. My son ordered a kids cherry coke. When we got the bill we had one kids lemonade and then 3 cherry cokes. When I asked, the waitress stated they cherry coke required grenadine from the bar and is charged for each one. We were never told this and I've never been charged extra for this let alone each drink individually! They are located on a bluff and have a couple levels for dining, with inside and outdoor decks that make you almost feel like you are in the Swiss Family treehouse. Great views during the daylight hours. We were there at night so no view even though we were out on the lower deck. Service was good and attentive. The food was not a good as we wanted or expected. Started with homemade minestrone which was not very good. One had the chicken parmigiana, and the other the "Kat's Way" (touted as the house and customer favorite). neither dish impressed at all. In fact we both left a good portion uneaten. Sad given the price of a meal to dine out these days. I give this place 3 stars for the atmosphere and service. But, far less for the food. read more

This place is great. I can't stress this enough, sit outside, you won't regret it. We were sat quickly and our server, Sara, was great. We started with a pear and honey crostini, it was so delicious. Oh, we also ordered drinks from the bar that were great as well. My son had a chicken pesto pasta that he devoured. I had the peach pizza (wow), and my husband had the brick chicken (so much food and was delicious). While we were eating, there was a brief rain shower followed by a magnificent display of a rainbow. I am super surprised to see such good reviews for this restaurant, which I recently dined at. As the sign says, it was certainly a curious meal. I had the chicken pesto which came out of the kitchen about three minutes after I ordered it (fresh cooked chicken takes a bit longer). It was penne pasta with what I can only imagine was pre-cooked chicken that was tough, dry, cold, and not good. Unfortunately, when I went to make an online reservation it said you had to make reservations 3 months in advance. WHAT!!!! It was chilly outside but we had heaters to keep us warm and we really enjoyed being able to see the beautiful red rocks. On to the food! We were hungry and when our waitress came to take our drink order we decided on several appetizers to start. We ordered cheese bread, avocado crustini, meatballs, and house made bread. It was all good but I highly recommend the baked meatballs. Delicious! Dinner was just as good, if not better. The roasted peach and pancetta pizza was as good as everyone raved it would be. I understand why it's a house favorite. Everyone enjoyed their food. Not one complaint, and that's a miracle with 8 women dining. Last but not least....the service! It was excellent from the moment we walked in. Everyone was so nice. Our waitress was the best. She was super friendly and helpful with the menu. She was also super ninja fast with service. I chose the gnocchi vegetable soup which comes with a half grilled cheese sandwich. I wish both items would have been served hotter, but it was still tasty. Husband had a chicken club sandwich which was HUGE. It came with crinkly fries which were so good. The chicken is cold in this sandwich. Everything was fresh and very good. What a sweet find! We sat on the patio-- ohmmmgeee the view is astounding. Our waitress pointed out we had a view of snoopy rock. She also told us about the owners being from New York and how they made all the bread from scratch. After highlighting the favorites on the menu, we ordered meatballs in homemade sauce, salad along with a homemade Calabrian chili minestrone topped with crunchy french onions. Everything was so delectable. But I will say that the waitress made the experience over the top! The soup was out of this world with tantalizing herbaceous flavors and mild spicy chili. The meatballs were big and fat and the sauce was tangy and definitely Italian. So you may be asking why the four stars? We came back for a second visit the following night. Our 2nd waitress was just "doing her job". Her... "matter of fact" attitude almost detracted from our original joy. We ended up getting a peach white homemade ricotta pizza with pancetta that was absolutely scrumptiously delicious. The saltiness of the pancetta offset the sweetness of the peaches. The food was wonderful the service was just "meh".
